To both my esteemed colleagues, as well as the citizens of our beloved empire, I would like to congratulate those sitting in the House. Both the Josephite Majority, and the Independent members. It is through us that our commitment and proposed reforms to the Imperial Diet shall continue. However, it’s important that we not misunderstand the Diet’s past, nor the ideology of the Majority.

We, as Orenians, must recognize that we are unified in fidelity to our greater state, and the ideals shared by our fellow Independent legislators are ideas that the Josephite party has campaigned on, if not already things we’ve done, or begun to act on.

Under the Josephite Majority, comprehensive Treasury audits for the government organizations were started three years ago. We have cut Imperial spending down by nearly forty percent during the 16th and 17th Imperial Diet sessions, delivering a balanced budget and a hefty surplus for all tax paying Orenian citizens. Furthermore, fair and balanced elections have already been initiated through the restructuring of the Office of Civil Affairs, and the bipartisan effort to independently establish Helena’s municipal government from the Interior has already begun, through our contact with their Lord Mayor. Furthermore, the Imperial Diet established the precedent of auditing Imperial ministries.

The Josephite Majority has led the battle for progress and justice in our country, ranging from Sir Konstantin’s legal reforms, to George Galbraith’s commitment to promoting the Orenian worker, and Angelika’s Bykov’s social justice law. Our creed is Dignity For All, and we have and will continue to deliver. We shall not be obstructed in our task, and I am proud to invite the independent caucus to do the same. I know in my heart, we can count on them.

For we acknowledge our established precedent of the responsibility of oversight for the Council of State, on behalf of the Josephites, Minister and MHC, George Galbraith, volunteers himself and the Ministry of Treasury to an audit by the House of Commons. Upon this, we invite other pertinent ministers to similarly step up and do the same, to ensure a properly run government for the people.

We look forward to working with our fellow legislators in these upcoming years.

Signed,

Leader of the House, Jonah Stahl-Elendil, MHC

George Galbraith, MHC

Sir Konstantin Wick, MHC

Angelika Bykov, MHC

Padraig O’Rourke, MHC

Ostromir Carrion, MHC

Padraig O’Rourke reads over the document from his Helena Office and he nodded to himself as he dipped his quill into the recess of the stone headstone that served as the tabletop of  his desk. With a flourish of his hand, he side the article.

“Ironic, George Galbraith needs to be held accountable for his tax-evasion in concerns to his giant eye-sore of a manor. The Josephites do nothing to ensure all men and women are treated equally. George Galbraith needs to be brought to court.” said Friar Boniface in his home.

57 minutes ago, Boniface said:

“Ironic, George Galbraith needs to be held accountable for his tax-evasion in concerns to his giant eye-sore of a manor. The Josephites do nothing to ensure all men and women are treated equally. George Galbraith needs to be brought to court.” said Friar Boniface in his home.

George scratches his head, wondering where this manor is, and what legislation mandates tax on land in the Crownlands. He then realizes that due to the family’s letter of disassociation of Edward, the land is is registered under Sir Edward’s, not the Galbraith’s.

Achille Nicephore falls asleep at his desk, waking up with the missive draped over his head and his pen prodding him in the cheek. He bats his eyes in somnolent confusion, reading it as he savored his mid-afternoon coffee.
