                                                          ~A Love’s Sorrow~

As the Drifter sent his group of hunters on a bounty, he did not know he would be saying goodbye to a certain one for good as they left. The hunters were sent out to clear one of the newly rising cultist camps stationed around the Wick wood. Upon reaching one of the camps, it would be apparent that they were heavily outnumbered. Through a long tasking fight, Archer Biano would soon pass due to blood loss after the battle. Once it had finished Archer would be at ease after seeing that everyone had lived, more importantly Reyna in his case. He would call out to Reyna as he confessed his undying love for her, giving his new love an emerald ring as he passed on the fields of green surrounded by the quiet cold forest and the bodies of dead Heretics. As the hunters made it back after a hard fought bloody battle, the drifter would lean up from his wagon standing shocked in place at the sight of almost all of his hunters being covered in injuries and blood. Once everything had been sorted from the long engagement, Archer would be brought to the church where he would be buried. Being remembered as a loyal defender of Haense, a killer of heretics, and a great young hunter that the drifter would remember every day as he would any of his hunter’s passing's. After about a month had passed, the Drifter went into Haense again for the first time in a while. The melancholic man would only bear his pipe that he always brought around, and a medallion which is his symbol of tribute to those he has lost out on bounties. The Drifter wandered the town desperately trying to find one of those he had seen come back from the previous bloody bounty. Hours upon hours passed, though the Drifter kept wandering the streets hoping that he would find someone. When it had seemed that hope was lost, Reyna would appear in the Drifter’s view near the tavern entrance. Being somewhat happy, the Drifter took a moment to pause before walking up to Reyna only to say

“your ummm…”

Of course this had probably caught Reyna off guard as the drifter isn’t one to willingly talk to others when he can avoid doing so. Once Reyna had answered him, he flicked the medallion at her, stating it was a tribute before walking off as he gave only a small wave to her.  As the Drifter  looking up at the sky, would let a small forced chuckle off upon reaching the gates before murmuring

”I think I’ll be joining you soon hunters, though not in the seven skies...”

The man spoke, letting a few painful coughs out while he again continued walking. Reaching the wagon, the Drifter would cough a few times more as he looked down at his mask only to see blood that he’d coughed out starting to soak through the mask. The Drifter would act or seem surprised, only a bit sad as he left the warmness of Haense’s city and entered his cold wagon.
