WARD INITIATIVE OF 352 ES

 

In accordance with the pursuit of knowledge of the future generations of Hanseti-Ruska, the Ward Initiative of 352 has thus been created to officiate such endeavors of the Aulic Council. First proposed by HRH Princess Mariya Barbanov, the ward initiative ventures to allow any youth of Hanseti-Ruska between the ages of 5 to 17 to serve as a ward under a particular member of the Aulic Council (at the discretion of the incumbent). 

 

The ward initiative shall also pertain to as follows;

- Children of noble birth will receive first choice on their desired wardship, through meetings with the patriarch of the house. 

- Children of common birth will be allowed wardship, with the secondary choice and must have a parent send a letter of interest to the Lady Speaker, Irena Ruthern. 

- Desired choices are not promised although preferences will be highly considered. 

- If entirely uncooperative, those in which the youth is being mentored by have the right to end the wardship. 

- Wards will receive housing if they do not have one of their own in the city, under their parentage or guardian.

 

General duties & requirements of a ward;

- Wards will be assigned a primary project every 2 years of their wardship from their mentor, unless they are 17 upon being appointed as a ward, in which they will receive 1 project to complete before the age of 18 (projects may be akin to studies, interviews, memoirs, event-hosting, etcetera)

- Wards shall complete any other minor projects or assignments given unto them from who they are under.

- Wards must attend all matters, meetings, and private lessons they are called upon, unless otherwise excused by the mentor.

 

Wardship may be under (but not limited to) the following:

Josef I, King of Hanseti-Ruska 

Isabel of Valwyck, Queen consort of Hanseti-Ruska 

Konstantin Wick, Lord Palatine 

Irena Ruthern, Lady Speaker  

Manfred Barclay, Lord Marshal 

Lauritz Christiansen, Lord Justiciar 

Ingrid Barclay, Lady Seneschal 

Edvard Amador, Lord Treasurer 

Jericho ben Tertulian, Aulic Envoy 

Charlotte Baruch, Grand Lady 

Rosalind Amador, Lady Chamberlain 

 

At the end of one’s wardship, if they have successfully completed all tasks and requirements of them, the councillor or governmental official in which the ward has worked under shall write a formal letter of recommendation. Although a position in the government is not assured through this program, they will receive a particular advantage and are likely to receive ample employment from their work and connections thus garnered.
