THE NEEDLE ORDINANCE

5th of Owyn’s Flame, 1823 

 

WHEREAS, The General Needle ‘The Warmonger’ of the Musins has released a hostile public statement threatening the Holy Orenian Empire and its people.

 

WHEREAS, It is the duty of the Solicitor-General to “...manage policing, law enforcement and the safekeeping of the Emperor’s peace within the Crown's direct dominions” (O.R.C. 601.04I).

 

WHEREAS, The intentions announced in the aforementioned public statement released by General Needle on behalf of all the Musins who follow him constitute the Crime of Conspiracy for Treason (O.R.C. 204.01 and 209.01).

 

WHEREAS, The Military Organization led by General Needle in the Holy Orenian Empire has not been authorized by the Crown, which constitutes the crime of Unauthorized Military Organization (O.R.C. 204.014).

 

BE IT ENACTED, That General Needle and all those individuals who follow him in his criminal endeavours, regardless of their race, shall be charged with the Crime of Conspiracy for Treason (O.R.C. 204.01 and 209.01) and with the Crime of Unauthorized Military Organization (O.R.C. 204.014).

 

BE IT ENACTED, That all Agents of the Imperial Constabulary are hereby directed to arrest any individual deemed suspicious of being part of the aforementioned Unauthorized Military Organization and perform any other investigatory duties that they deem necessary in order to bring these criminals to Orenian Justice.

 

Finally, the Ministry of Justices wishes to clarify that this Ordinance does not apply to those Musins who peacefully live among us and respect the Laws of Our Realm, only to those who have broken the law as prescribed by this Ordinance.

Caspian d'Arkent blinked a few times, wondering how it could be that a foreign military could be charged with being an "unauthorized military organization".. was it so now that the Emperor had to accept every military organization on Almaris?
