Josef_Rippelberg 0 Share Posted June 7, 2021 A Claim Renounced The past few years have seen my life wrought with blood and fire, the 10th Nordling War had filled me with ideals and actions that in the heat of the moment, seemed right and true. As I pick up my pen now I can see that the actions I took to preserve the honour of my family and my ancestors' names only hurt them. As I look now to my niece, I apologize, I have abandoned her as my Sister has died - a woman that meant a lot to me and I see how these actions hurt my niece so. I look to my future wife Diana d'Azor and see this duel would only cause her pain. The actions I would take would would bring them distress, I know I cannot betray them, I must do what is right now for the people I love. I hereby renounce fully and wholly my claim upon the county of Valles and any title rightfully in the peerage of Othamans, I apologize to the House of Lords for disbelieving in their most lawful and just judgement, to my betrothed and to my family for thinking this was the right course of action. Whilst I still believe in my heart of hearts that Viathan Othaman is not the true heir, only GOD can be the judge now, and I leave his most noble judgement up to him, while I live out my life in the Serivice of the Holy Orenian Empire and most importantly in the service of His Imperial Majesty John VIII as best a man I can.
