The Lords Edict of 378 ES

 

 

Issued and Confirmed by His Royal Majesty, Koeng Henrik II

on the 9th of Vzmey and Hyff, 378 ES.

It has been a few years since the conclusion of the Noble Audit of 374 ES, made with the intent of investigating the situation and state of our nobility and the various Peers and their noble families that make up our Kingdom’s nobility.

 

Many of our Peers and their noble families are going through periods of growth, and for that we must commend their efforts. Where they sow the seed of growth and contribution, the Kingdom harvests this growth into its welfare, and our rewards and gratitude shall be extended to these families.

 

Furthermore, it is the intent of the Crown, that from this day forward, every Peer must have at least one subsidiary title of every tier leading up to their primary, these subsidiary titles may be distributed by a Peer to their relatives, who may hold them titularly until their death or its revocation, whereafter it returns to the Peer.

 

It is also the Crown’s will that, following the changes made to the status and rankings of various Peers and their noble families, that the noble title of Margrave shall be discontinued henceforth, and all titles of Margravial tier be turned to Counties.

 

The following changes are made to the Peerages of the Realm:

The Barony of Voron is promoted to a Viscounty, thus becoming the Viscounty of Voron. It shall remain a subsidiary title of (Naumariav: Herzen) His Grace, Ruslan Baruch, the Duke of Valwyck, to be inherited by his rightful Heir and held by the House of Baruch.

 

The Duchy of Vidaus is granted to The Most Honourable, Maric Ruthern, the Margrave of Greyspine, to be inherited by his rightful Heir and held by the House of Ruthern. He shall thus be (Naumariav: Herzen) His Grace, Maric Ruthern, the Duke of Vidaus. The Margraviate of Greyspine shall be relegated to a Viscounty, becoming the Viscounty of Greyspine, becoming a subsidiary title of House Ruthern.

 

The County of Jerovitz is created and granted to The Honourable, Jan Kortrevich, the Viscount of Krusev, to be inherited by his rightful Heir and held by the House of Kortrevich. He shall thus be known as (Naumariav: Komitzem) The Right Honourable, Jan Kortrevich, Count of Jerovitz.

 

The Viscounty of Sezwesk is created and granted to The Right Honourable, Kazimar Ludovar, the Count of Otistadt, to be inherited by his rightful Heir and held by the House of Ludovar. The County of Otistadt shall be relegated to a Barony, becoming the Barony of Otistadt. Kazimar Ludovar shall hence be (Vikomitzem) The Honourable, Kazimar Ludovar, Viscount of Seswesk.

 

The Viscounty of Varna, the Barony of Kraken’s Watch, and the Barony of Lorentz shall be returned from The Honourable, Britannus Vanir, to the Crown and absorbed into the rest of the titles held by the Crown. Britannus Vanir shall hence be (Naumariav: Firr) Mister Britannus Vanir.

 

Additionally, the Crown shall be releasing another noble letter, a new house joining the House of Mondblume as newly created nobility of the realm.

 

The following amendments are made to the Haurul Caezk:

Section 601 shall have the following amendments made:

 

601.01: A man or woman who lawfully holds the noble title of Grand Prince, Grand Princess, Prince, Princess,  Duke, Duchess, Count, Countess,Viscount, Viscountess, Baron or Baroness and affirmed by the Crown within the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska shall be deemed a Haeseni Peer, of esteemed birth and social standing and upon whom is bestowed obligations and expectations to serve the Kingdom more arduously than those of lesser birth;

 

601.012: A Peer may delegate one of their subsidiary titles to their heir apparent, which shall be held by them until they succession, or until death;
