... and as the lightheadedness and the inability to breathe became too overwhelming for the young nun, she began to pass on to the seven skies.

And so ended the tragically short life of Ella d'Arkent, daughter of Henry Graham d'Arkent.

[!] A quick missive was pinned on the abbey's notice board, containing saddening news.

"In the early hours of this morning, a heartless intruder has taken someone precious from us.

It fills us with deep sorrow to announce the sudden and unexpected death of our Friend and Sister, Ella d'Arkent.

Sister Ella's death will leave a deep void within our hearts - a void that was previously filled with the joy and laughter our sister has spread during her time as a nun of Saint Catherine.

Our thoughts and prayers go to Sister Ella's family.

Signed,

The Sisters of the Abbey of Saint Catherine"

Sister Eloise signs the Lorraine cross upon her chest as she recalls the short time she had spent with Sister Ella within the Abbey. Her head would then bow in a mournful prayer-- and her hands clasped before her bosom. "May she find happiness with GOD in the Seven Skies" The nun would then murmur to herself as she rose her head, looking up to the ceiling of the Abbey.

The young groundkeeper toyed with the wrapping on the handle of his spade, looking longingly at the still virgin soil behind the abbey wondering when he'd be able to use his expertise. Alas, noble folk love the politics of family, and he jabbed the favored tool into the ground.

"May GOD be her judge."

he muttered, pivoting before walking off, knowing fully well he could have prevented her outcome.
