Haeseti-Haenlunorian Conflict Settled

After over 12 years of conflict, the war ended with Haeseti victory. The Haelunorian government surrendered earlier this year (49 SA) and was forced to cede land to Urguan, one of Haeseti’s ally. Urguan did not directly intervene in the war, but they were granted a part of Southern Haelunorian Land, namely the city of Ando Alur (Gearasdan Solas).

After the capture of Ikarusburg (Nedbhed Mòr) by the Svarlings, the war between the three northern nations with the Svarlings has become more and more of a stalemate. The Svarlings has been continuing to harass different cities in the north such as Fenn (Inbhir Iain). So far, the threat from the Svarlings to Dùnrath is still unknown, and the Baron urges the citizens to stay alert in case if any conflict happens in Dùnrath.

The Jeweler’s Chalice is a newly opened tavern and casino in the heart of Varhelm (Dùn Bhar). It serves various alcoholic beverages and provides various games in the venue. The venue is run by the Indoren Trading Company and is going to attract a great number of people during the holidays.

The Baron of Dùnrath appoited the Right Honourable Lady Alethea Dumieres as the Cabinet Secretary for Education of the Barony of Dùnrath. Alethea Dumieres will provide and maintain the people of Dùnrath facilities of learning and create educational corporations with other nations and settlements.

The median price of the Agnethe Deràrchean, as of the year 49 of the second age, has hit 10.7 mina per 100 deràrchean. This is the highest median price ever since last year. The main cause is that the Rathonian Government has a budget surplus despite being in different stages of a business cycle.

 

Fiscal Policy of Dùnrath has been reconsidered after 5 years of establishment

As of year 50 of the second age, the Rathonian Government is considering raising taxation by 5-15% as the wages to key workers in the town might not be sufficient with the current tax rates. A proposal has been drafted to the Baron and will be implemented from the start of year 51.
