Written by the first Lord Commander of Elysium, Absolon de Astrea, brother of the Duke, founder of the Order of the Boreal Forest. I. If your actions aren’t justified, stop pursuing them. II. The army of Elysium is the Duchy of Elysium's force against whatever and whoever would dare threated its beliefs, domain or people. Each person, no matter their rank or title bears the duty to enforce of the Duke's rule. The Military Hierarchy. Lord Commander Chosen and swore to the Duke of Elysium, the one with the title bears the duty to defend Elysium, the people, rule and bring Elysium to greatness through the total command of the army and all of the fighting forces. Military Chancellor The Second after the Lord Commander, their extension and help in their duty to Elysium, a Military Chancellor speaks in pairs with the Lord Commander and for the Lord Commander when is not present. Decurion These are esteemed people assigned to serve as Captains, as military advisor to the Lord Commander and to maintain order in the army. Chevalier Translating directly from the Auvergne word for "knight," these brave famed warriors who made their name known in Elysium thought their elevated skill and reputation. Enflammer People honored by Elysium and its citizens as soldier and enforcers of Elysian law that have earned their stripes after going through the rigorous training being an Initiate demands. Initiate Something that always remained through the decades of the military, was the initiate. The one who wishes to join Elysium's might but must go through the training and trials waiting for them. The Order of the Boreal Forest and other Roles in the army. The Order of the Boreal Forest, better known as the Rangers of Elysium, were formed at the beginning of Elysium when the it was still a County in the Kingdom of Norland. Now the rangers are a branch of the Elysian Army, their task remaining the same as before, defending Elysium by being its shadow in Almaris. Other roles in the Elysian Army. While the Elysian Guards can have these roles in their time serving the Duchy, people who are not guards but have other skill, can help the army in the next ways: Quartermaster -- The one assigned to keep the inventory of the army and make sure the guards, no matter the rank, have food and their armor and weapons are repaired and ready for use. Blacksmith -- Weapons and armor makers, often seen in the forge or courtyard, perfecting their craft and Elysium's equipment. Alchemist -- If one creates weapons and armor, the Alchemist can create anything, from different cognitions and potions. Among many things. Medic -- The person who you will meet very often in your life, and will probably buy them a drink at the nearest tavern. The medics are hose trained to keep their allies from succumbing to death with their knowledge in healing. With the Medic there is one rule: Do not piss the Medic. Mage -- Unlike the other roles within the army that can be bounded by a rank, a mage serving Elysium does not have one and is recognized by the special abilities they possess. Joining.
