In accordance with the Imperial Charter for the Free & Imperial City of New Providence , the Acting-Magistrate of New Providence by virtue of Our August Crown, is tasked with a specific set of duties. As we settle into this new realm we call home through GOD’s grace, the Magistrate’s office of New Providence deems it important to begin the road ahead -- that is the construction of our city’s bureaucracy. This election shall be done differently than previous elections, on the ballot will be one Lord Mayor as well as Three City Assemblymen, formerly known as Aldermen.

 

Thus, it is seen fit by this Office to hereby open the period of submissions for the upcoming Municipal Election of 1851. 

 

A prospective candidates for Lord Mayor & the Three Assemblymen must meet these qualifications:

1. At least 18 years of age

2. In good legal standing 

3. Own property within New Providence

Should a candidate meet such criterion, the following form must be filled by a prospective candidate:

All Mayoral Candidates will be required to attend the Mayoral Debates tomorrow. All powers of the Lord Mayor & City Assembly of New Providence are outlined within the Imperial Charter. Candidacies for Lord Mayor & City Assembly will close by the time the Mayoral debates are held on one Saint’s day. ((12/18/21 5 EST)).
