"10 years as co-monarchs." Scoffed the Haeseni Marshal at the missive, "10 years of the bloodiest war in Almaris' history, that's been. How ironic that it is celebrated with love and joy." The man snorted to himself before placing the parchment away, then continuing back to his duties.

“And of those ten years, how many were as an excommunicate, illegally holding the throne?” Adalrich Barclay wondered aloud upon reading the missive.

“But your Dwarven allies started the war.” scoffs a hooded and cloaked William Trissingham in return as he appears from behind a corner. Coughing abruptly, the baseborn turns heel and sprints madly for the Karosgrad gates. He had no interest in being made a prisoner for ‘anti-Haenseni think’ today.

Candle thinks the Empress surely isnt showing much remorse for having a woman who didnt agree with her or apologize to her, executed just two Saint Days ago. Instead she invents a holiday to glorify herself after such a brutal act. Tut tut he thinks.

Empress Anastasia smokes a cigar and listens to a group of musicians from her office.

In the proclamation of this Imperial holiday, an opportune businessman lights a candle for his estranged aunt - wherever she may be. Dead, or alive.

Alec wishes that city folks would stop trying to have their dainty sandwich picnics in the fields he has to plow. This St. Julia's Day will only increase the amount of pesky twenty-somethings galivanting about places they shouldn't.
