_Sug 2574 Share Posted February 20, 2022 When a thought lingers It becomes as morning breeze A bird flying home Ishikawa Ryō strode forth through fields rolling through mountain ranges so gently it was as if wind had lifted him forth and guided his very steps towards a destination unknown. In gloved grasp sat the lead that guided a beautiful steed behind his movements whilst his mind wandered and a smile rested upon the young man’s visage. It had been long, long since he had made such a journey, a journey that this time had an end. “Yūrei” The voice of his past friends and mentors echoed forth in his mind in harmonious unison so pure, those he once knew as they had first come to settle the lands of the continent prior, voices releasing freely in the landscape of his inner thoughts. It was time, was what the young Ishikawa had decided, time to return, to embrace his people once more and celebrate in jubilee the successes of the Ishikawa forefathers before him. Although there was weight which sat upon the shoulders of Ishikawa “Ghost” Ryō, he knew there was much more that he must do. Not only in his oath of Bushido, but his oath to all those once governed and loved by his clan. 幽霊 There was only hope for the future for the Ghost of Ishikawa, his ventures had worn and withered his body even at his young age. For it was his grandfather Ishikawa “Twice-Dead” Tomoe, that pushed him towards his future in his youth through training both body and mind into that of a warrior, his grandfather who gave inspiration for his ventures in the fray of battle, his grandfather who solidified the bushido within his very core, and his grandfather who’s words of home drew forth stride beneath the young man in such a direction. On and on did he venture until he took a turn around a cliffside and before his view sat a beautiful sight that made the simple smile that sat on the Ishikawa’s lips grow wide. Fields of rice and cherry blossoms, children playing and cattle grazing met his view and with a long inhale, the man ventured forth towards his destiny. For it was destiny that resided in this new home. Perhaps it were there, where his grandfather and clan had resettled, perhaps not. Yet, this would be his home for now.
