Within the confines of the Huntshill-Novellen estate, a certain raven-haired Countess seethed over the open letter. Hidden away from the world for years, Isabella Marie vas Ruthern Huntshill-Novellen practically frothed by the mouth in rage upon coming to realize what her kin was up to.

Her father was dead. Her daughter was dead. And now her only son brought her unfathomable shame. How she deplored her children. The darkness of her inherited curse choking her mind further.

The only light in her life… her husband and her grandson.

In another part of the estate, the second born daughter and newfound heir of the County sneezed. She wondered if someone was perhaps thinking about her or if it was the dust that had accumulated on the bookshelves.
A knock came from the door, she mumbled a quick “come in”. A maid quietly came in and handed her a letter sealed using a Haense wax stamp. After reading the contexts, she placed the letter on her desk, putting her head in her hands. “Letters. Why must they all contain bad news” she muttered, feeling the all too familiar pain in her body the stress had caused. It rarely left her nowadays.

Klara Elizaveta sat within her chambers of the Nikirala Prikaz, creating bouquets, when she caught sight of the letter. "May Godan have mercy on vyr soul, John Aurelian Novellen, for Ea shall niet grant it to vy anymore."

Katerina Angelika de Sarkozy blinked a few times as she read the missive.  "Perhaps marrying him isn't worth all the suffering he could endure." She took out her journal and began writing.

Borris Iver Kortrevich scanned the missive, eyes concentraiting on every word. As the young lord sat within the Library of Jerovitz, he studied the weight of his sword. Borris wondering if he would ever have the chance to kill the bastard-lord for fooling him into thinking of him as a friend.
