Issued by the

HOUSE OF RUTHERN

On the 11th day of Joma ag Umund of 441 E.S.

SANGKRUV I RUTHER,

In the days which followed a feast between the House of Ludovar and Ruthern, the family of His Grace, Mikhail I, has been stricken by a most terrible fever. Those afflicted are gaunt and hollow, their skin drained of all colour and plagued by rashes resembling the pox. None have yet passed, though His Grace has been left bedridden, and his bastard withstood a great fall from fatigue that resulted in a brutal head injury.

His Grace extends his warning to his Comital guests in particular. The diseased Rutherns shall remain sequestered in Druzstra. Any who have found themselves in proximity to the Duke and his family should follow suit, lest this fever take root elsewhere.

DRUZ GJERNZ AG GRYVNZ,

His Excellency, Mikhail var Ruthern, Grand Lord of Hanseti-Ruska, Duke of Vidaus, Count of Metterden, Viscount of Greyspine, Lord of Druzstra and Protector of the South

Her Grace, Margrait Floireans Ruthern, Duchess of Vidaus, Countess of Metterden, Viscountess of Greyspine and Lady of Druzstra

A bedridden Kazimir var Ruthern tosses and toils in his attempts at rest, haunted by vivid fever dreams. Every so often, the young Ruthern would creep out of his cot, using what little strength he had to move himself by the window.

Dawn, noon and dusk he would pray to God. For the salvation of he and his kin, and the hope that the Lord Almighty would relinquish his family of this sickness.

Joren Ruthern spat out a large phlegm of mucus from his bed, he reached out his hand from the covers of his thick duvet. "I blame those bloody Baruchs." At that, he croaked his last and died.

Tatyana Ludovar would begin preparing a gift basket to send to the Duchy of Vidaus after she had been cleared by a doctor of not having caught whatever sickness had fallen over the Rutherns. Hoping and praying none of her other family members would fall sick alongside the them.

Nikoleta was convinced the Ludovars POSIONED the Rutherns, wondering if it was her nephew Matya's doing or his wife...

Countess Ludovar grits her teeth at the news as her pale knuckles bear white. Always of a weak complexion herself, she oft remains within the safety of her bedroom or office in Ricksburg following the publishing of the news - if only to avoid contact with the ill. To herself, she wonders if the Rutherns had planned to sicken them all, or if it was merely the Ducal servants who had by accident placed both families in danger. Nevertheless, a bouquet of forget-me-not flowers are delivered to the Duchess in Druzstra to freshen the air and wish the Ruthern family well.
