TO THE LOYAL CITIZENRY OF ADRIA, As the sun's warm glow doth ascend o'er the village of Adria, a jocund spirit fills the air. The town criers spread the word of the upcoming fete, in honour of the armistice of 1918. The folk of Adria prepare for the festivities, adorning the maypole with ribbons, daisy blooms, and ivy vines. The eagerness, as the Adrians look forward to merrymaking, their feet stamping upon the soft soil. The sound of the lute and the tambourine accompany the merry tunes of the minstrels, raising the hearts of all as they cast off their worries. The melee tournaments are set to be the grand spectacle of the festival. The bold participants, arrayed in gleaming armour, desirous to showcase their courage and chivalry. The tourney field shall be aflutter with the sound of trumpets and the clash of swords as the townsfolk cheer on their champions. The Adrians shall indulge in drinking and feasting, with tables overflowing with delectable victuals and ale. They shall jest and revel, setting aside their woes and hardships, and basking in the tranquillity that has been won. T I M E T A B L E I. Tourney of Victors A melee shall be held for those who wish to partake. A sign-up sheet shall be attached to this missive. The victor of the tourney shall face against a great foe, and other great warriors can assist in this feat. II. Feast of Goodwill After the Tourney, all spectators and participants will join together in dancing, with drinks and a feast. Guests are encouraged to wear flowers in their hair to signify the peace brought upon the lands. III. Festivities of Glad Tidings After the feasting ends, the townsfolk of Adria are invited to partake in diversions amidst the festival grounds. They may bob for apples, try their hand at archery, or peruse locally handcrafted goods.
