annanicole__ 1546 Share Posted April 8, 2023 Spoiler Nuptials of Owyn’s Flame 53 B.A. The Crown of Balian is pleased to announce the official day of matrimony and celebration for the union between the Crown Prince Hadrian Casimir and Princess Andromeda of Ba’as. His Majesty, King Alexander I, gives his blessing to this union and the realm rejoices at this important moment in our kingdom’s history. Here shall stand our future King and Queen-consort, leaders of the Balianese people. THE CEREMONY The royal pair shall first be wedded within the Basilica La Sorella, officiated by a member of the Church before a gathering of Balian’s nobility, citizenry, and invited allies. Proceeding down the aisle hand-in-hand, the Crown Prince and the Princess Andromeda shall process towards the altar together accompanied by two choice witnesses, who shall both hold gilded lorraine crosses aloft behind the couple as symbol of GOD’s constant presence in matrimony. Before the vows are spoken, the couple shall drink from a glass of blessed wine, to represent the future moments shared between husband and wife, both bitter and sweet. Once the vows are exchanged, the wedded pair shall be crowned with matching golden-leaf laurels, to honor their dedication to one another. They shall finally pay tribute to King John’s founding stone before departing the holy sanctum, each pressing a kiss to the rock’s surface as a symbolic dedication to Balian and its people. THE FEAST The festivities to follow the formal ceremony shall put the culture of Balian on full display, likewise being intermingled with traditions from the Princess’ own homeland of Ba’as. This merriment will be hosted by the House of Novellen within their royal seat, the Palatio Monterosa. The feast itself shall be prepared by His Majesty’s own kitchens, arrayed with various dishes centered around the native game, fruits, and spices of Balian. At the onset, the newly-joined royal couple shall both address those gathered and speak to their hopes in regards to both their marriage and the kingdom. Thereafter, a traveling troupe of Rhenyari musicians shall strike up an energetic tune and allow the guests to take the ballroom floor in lively dance. Throughout the evening, gifts and well-wishes offered to the Crown Princess and his bride are encouraged and most-welcome. To close out the celebrations, the talents of the Bard College shall be put on full display for all to see. A special performance created for the Prince and Princess, it is hoped that every guest shall be left awe-inspired.
