The Syndic Election of 81 B.A.

To the citizens of Balian,

 

In keeping with the laws and traditions of Balian, it is our distinct privilege to host the first election of the Syndic of the Citizens Commune. Fulfilling a crucial role in maintaining and improving the lives of those living within the Kingdom of Balian, the role and expectations of the Syndic are outlined in the Edict of Communus Civis. 

 

Elections shall be held starting upon this date, to last for a month ((until the end of Sunday, October 29th)). Candidates are encouraged to inform the populace of their candidacy through the use of flyers, posters, and verbal outreach. Participation in this election is restricted to verifiable citizens of the Kingdom of Balian, all other responses will be voided and not contribute towards a candidate’s total.

 

The following are listed candidates for the position of Syndic of the Citizens Commune:

• Asya C. Carmesìa

• Godric H. Vuiller

• Johan S. Vuiller

 

Ballots can be found at polling stations positioned around Portoregne, such as the one here.

The ballot boxes are now closed, all valid votes have been counted. The censor's office wishes to congratulate Asya C. Carmesia on her election to the office of Syndic. This coming Syndic term shall begin on the first day of 82 B.A. ((11/1/2023)) and end on the last day of 90 B.A. ((12/27/2023)).
