What circumstances led to this ban?

 

Following reporting an issue to Squak regarding the ability to place Emerald Blocks in LC as they were a tile resource and were likely to be given value at some point, and then seeing the sudden spike in value of Emeralds following the introduction of siege ammo two months later, I again sought to bring this issue to the ears of the admins. I first prompted the admin online, Hogo, asking if the absence of emeralds on the blacklist was still intentional. Following the lack of response, I made an admin request stating that Emeralds were still a part of the limited creative palette and proceeded to place some down to drive the urgency of the issue to whichever admin accepted the ticket and engaged with me. Despite ignoring my prior questioning, Hogo was watching me in spectator mode, and proceeded to ban me before even opening the ticket. What I was not informed of, despite providing evidence of my intentions, and repeatedly asking Hogo for clarity of whether or not he understood them- was that the ban was handed off to another moderator to handle following the initial ban. I made several attempts to request clarity from Hogo following his initial attempt to try and twist the blatant evidence to make me look bad, only to receive no reply, despite the court and polite wording of my inquiries. Not only was I not told to present the evidence which he had seen himself to the staff member now handling the case, but I was blatantly ignored.

 

Are there aspects of the ban you agree and/or disagree with?

 

I firmly believe the ban was the result of a lack of context, and it's persistence birthed from a lack of communication, a blatant disregard for provided evidence of motive and what I can only assume is malice or incompetence.

 

What motivates you to return to LOTC?

 

I have been a part of the LOTC community for just shying eight years, and have grown rather fond of the vast majority of it.

The annotated logs provided to Hogo proving my intentions that were used to try and prove some kind of other point that I have yet to fully grasp the basis for.

Hi, as shown in the ban message the ban was delivered by me and any questions or inquiries should have been brought to moderation. If context was brought forward at any point this could have most likely been remedied but instead you just wrote an appeal blaming the admins for miscommunication which is equally so on your part due to aforementioned lack of reaching out. You may attempt to appeal again this time recognizing the mistake without making it a middle finger to admins.
