Incident Report: Darkspawn Encounter in Haense

18th of The Deep Cold, 1964

To Whom It May Concern,

While in Haense earlier this Saint Day, I found myself in a distressing situation involving a suspected carrier of the plague and an individual accused of being a darkspawn.

It began when I observed a woman exhibiting symptom of the plague, and I cautioned her to keep her distance. However, the situation escalated when she coughed upon Robert Haverlock of Aaun, prompting him to remove his gauntlet and lunge at her with talon like claws. In the chaos that ensued, the woman accused Robert of being a darkspawn.

Recognizing the gravity of the situation, I intervened and demanded that Robert submit to a darkspawn test by removing his gauntlet. Despite initial resistance, with the assistance of Ser Emilio, a Knight of Valdev, we were able to restrain Robert and proceed with the testing.

As suspected, the test revealed that Robert was indeed a darkspawn, specifically a vampyre. With this revelation, we promptly escorted him back to the Holy See and confined him within the keep of Owynsburg for further interrogation.

Subsequent investigation confirmed Robert's condition, and arrangements were made to procure a cure from an alchemist to alleviate his afflictions.

This incident serves as a reminder of the ever-present threat posed by darkspawn and the importance of remaining vigilant in our efforts to protect the innocent and uphold the values of GOD.

Yours faithfully,

Ser Vylandris of the United Kingdom of Aaun muses over the report. A vassal of the king, a darkspawn. He wonders if there may be more darkspawn residing in Aaun if he dug deeper.

Robert Tiberius Alstion, were he able to read this and understand it, would no doubt feel terror as he, the Fat Prince, was manipulated into doing jumping jacks for the darkspawn's amusement until he vomited.

Ser Stefano came across the missive as he traveled through St. Daniel's Crossing. The parchment was crumbled within his grasp, and he wept aloud. "How could this happen to such a nice boy? My very own squire? I pray that his Spirit can bring him to the right path." He would continue his way into the hamlet to spend the evening in the chapel to pray over Robert's fate.
