What is…?

---

In past millennia, Elves studied many aspects of Religious beliefs and rituals, which revolved around the aspects & spirits. They believed, they made up all that was nature, life itself was created from the aspects and it was them that had created the four brothers in the beginning with the help & Guidance of the creator, who created the aspects. With such, Mali kind praised the aspects with the acknowledgment that they are the keepers and Idols of the wild and that Mali’ame and ‘aherrals are but the children of nature itself. However, the Solarii, while being within this culture, did not fully delve into the belief of the Aspects the same way the Ame’ had. When Sun elves began to praise the aspects of the wild, they believed the aspects, and (or) any angle of that matter, had no physical appearance. This belief with faith was not enough for the ‘Solarii, without something to praise or simply admire, it felt meaningless, it made no sense in their mind. Then one day, a prophet named Karl’tir, Son of Embresil founded the belief within the world of spiritualism. 

 

-Then, the prophet spoke “Listen here, my brothers and sisters, beckon unto me for I speak for the light. Why are we to praise nothing when the aspects & angels share the plane where the fouls soar? For we have shared our offerings and tithes our hunts to them, and yet we are told to praise mere walls. I say ne for I am sent by my father, the father of stars, Solaris…to tell you the spirits, aspects, saints and more, are in the Astral Plane'' -  Tales of Solaris I

 

This belief was known as Oriasm, The Following of stars. 

 

To Understand what exactly is Oriaism, one must travel the path which leads to the spiritual aspect of it. In the belief that one is not truly meant to be within this world but to be amongst the stars is but a path of life, a succession of Wanderlust and want to explore what is beyond our skies and depths.

 

However there is a deeper connection to the stars, some don't believe in the uncommon idols known to date, as a matter of fact In Oriasm, it is normal for one to praise a star that is founded upon a miracle, this miracle being almost anything. Mali’Solarii has founded the great children of Solaris, which have spoken to the Father himself. (The Father being Solaris)

Who Is.. . .?

 

Followers of Oriasm would begin their path by seeking knowledge within the following. Scholars of the Mali'Solarii would not understand what exactly Solaris is, or why he became a big part of the daily life of a dedicated Solaric Spiritualist. However, it is known that the People who followed this path understood he was something greater. A spiritualist can correlate the similarities between Solaris to Aztran, the father of Galaxies, Suns, and stars and most of them would not be surprised to learn that in reality, Solaris and Aztran are but the same. Aztran the spirit of the galaxies and stars and suns, was interpreted in ancient scrolls as a great spirit who was calm and collected in serenity and wisdom. His infinite view of all galaxies and stars, from it he gained the respect of different spirits which in the Scrolls of the Sun elves were known as Stellabri, or star children. These spirits are known to be lesser forms of Solaris however in the spiritualist world they are lesser spirits.

 

  Knowing such, Solaris tends to beckon more and more followers by showing them a path with purpose, which some stars tend to direct the non-believers into their miracle. These stars are known as Stellabri, A borrowed term from Flexio; Stella Liberi, or star children,  are but lesser spirits that fall under the greater Star Spirit Solaris. Solaris embodies light, complete and utter warmth & a healthy new day Clarity Serenity & Logic, is the bright morning star, common folks know this as the sun. However ‘Solarii have taken the meaning of the sun and its many miracles and blessings and recognized it to be more than just a bright bulb of light shining upon the ground. Its eternal sunshine creates warmth, allows crops to gain nutrients, allows things to heal over time, and creates an even balance over the astral plane.

 

The astral plane is used in many terms on spiritualist concepts. However, this one is both Similar and new. The Astral plane is the plane in which the deceased go to rest, the plane is also a domain for the stars to inhabit and watch over those who have crossed the skies. However, this Domain is only reachable by the method of Orialis. When one dies in the path of Orasim, it is known that a Ritual takes place, where their ashes are spread over an open field amongst the stars above. The spirit of those who were of good morality and or followed the path of Oriasm as a devoted follower of Solaris may reach the Astral plane, the domain of Solaris and his Stellabri. Following such ascension, it is uncommon to see a shooting star falling from the sky; this would represent the deceased individual's life ending, as a new star is born.

 

-And when his prophet died, so did many stars. A shower that was unseen ever before was blessed upon the fields of which his children watched. A star fall had occurred, and one which signaled a turning point in the eyes of our father - Tales of Solaris I

 

However, in the present, Solaris speaking directly to his followers has come to a stagnate halt, as he only speaks to one dedicated person. This dedicated one is one to not meddle in the affairs of other religions. And is a chosen prophet of Solaris himself.

Oriasm is a following that anyone can adapt to, many stars are founded upon new families who take the Astral Rite. However, within the following of Oriasm, there is a hierarchy. Those who take the path must understand who is in charge, who the Father speaks to Directly, and how things work. 

 

-For without order, there is no peace, for if there is no peace there is chaos and disorder, death and insanity cloud the world. Order must be maintained in forward to there be peace.- Tales of Ritaa  I

The Clergy

The Kindlings are the beginning stage  of the spiritualist following within the temple. A kindling is an aspirant, learning the ways of the spirits and being taught everything that they must know to embark in the starlit journey. A kindling is like a sheep, and the shamans, their pastor, Elders within the temple must help and guide these kindlings through their journey and help them maintain their faith in the stars.

The next rank is the Priest/Priestess. Bound by their faith- the kindlings take up apprenticeship under a priest within the temple. This priest is then capable of teaching them the power of cursing, blessing, banishing, and animism. Once they accomplish their trials and their apprenticeship this kindling receives a locket and beads detailing their ascension to priesthood.

A priest is the shepard, the protector of the faith; these shamans are capable of leading rituals and sermons as well as able to take up missions within the shaman lodge and the temple itself.

Then there are Elders, wise beings of the lodge and of the temple. These are the leaders, the ones who share the burden of leading the temple with high keepers. Unlike the priest, they are capable of assigning missionary tasks and or missions to either the Knights or the priest. However the Elders are expected to assure the safety of those they are assigned to, if they do not they are capable of being punished for the failure of those that failed the mission or died in it. Elders are people who reach the final stages of their mastery over shamanism, and must complete a trial by the keeper to ascend to the rank.

The Speaker

The Speaker is but one of many in the Religion, there is only one speaker, and one alone. The Speaker is the head of the Religion, and the Prophet chosen by the Father of stars to speak the words in Solaris wishes to give to his people, rather than manifesting his dangerous Solaric light into the mortal realm. By being a speaker, one must care for all branches of the Oriaic Following, handling all levels of information that involves the following and religion, and approving newly founded Scrolls and Litanies.

The speaker can be anyone within the temple, however there are certain types of people that the High speaker cannot be Unless for a good reason.

Political Officials
Soldiers
Darkspawn
Dark Mages/shamans
Druids

Paladins
 

The high speaker is a persona that embodies the truth of Solaris, the wisdom and the serenity bestowed by Solaris himself. A high speaker is chosen by a set of trials made by the previous high speaker. Then when the time is but nie, the High speaker passes on his mask to the new High speaker, deeming him worthy to lead the Temple.

The Knights of Ritaa

Harden and dedicated, The men in clad, pure Mali’Thills, Ame, and Solarii who walked the path of purity and grand crusade come forth and take the rite of Ritaa. A holy sanctimonious warrior whose mind is as sharp as the sword they wield. Their hearts are harder than steel, but their souls are as warm as a maternal or paternal figure. 

 

These protectors must not be anywhere near loyal to the crown of any nation or government. They are directed by the Speaker himself and they must protect the speaker and other spiritualists.  

 

Their task as well as to assure the purification of dark spawns and dark mages and rouge shamans by any means necessary. Either through purging or force disconnecting them. Any beast or unnatural being is to be killed and heretics forced to repent in front of the light of Solaris. These Spiritual Soldiers hold a specific weapon which was made by the ancestors.

Mortals saught power from gods, and deities in which they knew not of in the first lands. However when they managed to do so, they never foresaw the consequences that followed. With everything in life it has a consequence, an opposite effect or individual, thus was the case for even shamans and spiritualist. Spiritualist commit many heinous acts and do things that to the non- believers eye would seem horrific, just to ear the ire of their spirit. However no act is too heinous for those of Ritaa, all justice and righteousness  falls to the brutish ideoligy of  “might makes right”. No outside

Weapons

Tukat’ii Staff.

 

 

Amongst all kinds of weapons that the Ritaa knights are able to wield, the Tukati staff, a weapon unheard of by any weapons smith, however to the ‘Solarii, this weapon is one that is kept a secret amongst their own kind. Ritaarii (Knights of Ritaa) are masters at wielding this and many other weapons, sizing up to 120 cm. The bark can be made even from steel, however many within the temple and the Talonnii see this as a disgraceful act. However this would change during the age of Sol’tarmatha with them having been taught the concoction to make ikurnamon Wood (iron wood).

 

These staff would be crafted delicately and methodically. The carvings and or crystals placed into them would tell a story of the pilgrimage of the wielder. The Tukat’ii (tukati) staff would see action in the tribal wars- Cavalry would wield their families Tukat’ii along side their sabers and long swords since lances were seen as barbaric and too human like.

 

The Ki’ra Guantlet

 

Amongst all the swords and iconic weapons the Ritaa knights have, alongside the Gong and the Tukati staff, the knights hold a clockwork gauntlet that is made carefully by the one titled the ‘steam kissed’. In the days of Sol’tarmatha and Ygrasdivyl the invention was made as an impractical back up weapon in case the knight was disarmed. This weapon, was in no doubt impractical, however the inventor sought a way for the individual to never lose his weapon, in such case, when a night pulls the handle on his gauntlet finger, the gauntlet would bite down on the person's arm and immediately attach itself to the bone and flesh, so that it never flies or loosens itself during battle.

Some see this as unethical, but the inventors see this as a minor sacrifice to the cause.

Standings

Prior to all temple history. It is widely known that Krug and his daughter and their apprentices began to teach the will and messages of the spirits. The first prophet and High speaker was one of Dom's many students, in which he sat amongst the many orcs in secret as she spoke of the spirits in a manner that no one ever has. It was then that an Urukin came to the first prophet and took him on a spirit walk that they too saw the spirits with their own eyes and were amazed at such blessings and prowess they held. It was there after he learned the ways of Shamanism and spiritualism, embodying his own theories and bringing spiritualism as the Sun elves main religion.
