Naztherak is compatible with any dark or voidal magics, but not deific ones, with exception for Seer, should they have the slots available to give.
- Naztherak is not compatible with dark magic CAs or transformative CAs, such as Frost Witches, Liches, Wights, Anthroparians, Azdrazi, etc.
- Although it’s impossible to regain magic slots once offered by default, it's plausible with an accepted MArt.
- Due to their infernal nature, cursed children may start naz off at the progression of T2, though they still require the lessons for the T1 and T2 spells.
- When tiers three and four are reached, a Naztherak may take up additional subtypes for the cost of another magic slot and a sliver of their soul. These should be updated accordingly on a user’s MA.
- Only one additional subtype may be taken per tier.

Explanation: 
Upon connection, the dreams and ambition of power which drives the naztherak completely expels any desire for romance. Naztherak may not engage in  romantic relationships and are completely incapable of sexually FTBing.

IMO "they're still descendants" isn't really a valid answer against this; take a look at necromancy- they too are descendants, and have a similar restriction. This isn't a bar on some RP aspects, yet rather a way to shift more RP focus on more of what Naztherak truly is about.

In my opinion if Naz are so caught up in their drive to be selfish and gain power then they shouldn't care for platonic friendships or familial relations either though. Which I entirely disagree with the idea of making happen because it barrs roleplay so much - but im just adding onto what I think would be logical for the stance of your amendment.

Nah. They're still descendants. There's already a no FTB / romance clause for 'akal, which is the expected endpoint for naz. No romance is just exceptionally silly.

While I understand this take, Naz already does have a form of that in late stage. Naz are still descendants, and a good element of that is the slow descent into becoming a monster/madness/demonology.

 

I don't think completely barring people from their characters experiencing love is going to provide anything to people in their roleplay but a complete stonewall on certain character elements. Naztherak are still descendants. If this is implemented at all, it's best for it to be T5, or for the Zar'Akal element to simply remain as the element that sucks the love out of a person.

This feels like a rather strange way of dictating character interactions through lore, feels more appropriate to be forming coven mindsets in RP if you'd rather not see that niche of RP around you.  Example to make a warlock prove themselves can just be killing or maiming a loved one to prove their dedication to their path, or be forced to face other consequences - promotes more villainy and further embraces the dark, evil coven aesthetic

I've been involved in the naz civil war arc since the beginning of the year, and there's been a lot of really interesting RP that's come out of it, RP that's served to benefit the magic as a whole and the micro communities in between, but the list of things occurring have irked me on an OOC level is getting pretty excessive. constant disguises, people not disengaging with the plot after being killed (on my life I don't care about a PK, I just care about respect for the story), there being quite literally nothing we can do to levy consequence or make this plotline feel like it has any actual weight in RP. but never in a million years would I look at this and go "romance RP is the issue"

I'm so exhausted with this puritan pearl-clutching nonsense. I'm not even going to address this from how realistic it may or may not be from a thematic perspective because it's never been about that, but I think people have a very strangled creative scope if they can't think of any possible reason for how the concept of love or devotion can be incorporated into the storyline of an actual "deal with the devil, sell your soul" magic. because that shit is an actual goldmine of opportunities to be had, and it's why some of the best RPers on the server are the david and goliath of storytelling. they don't care about this shit. but the Le Romance Bad players can only look at it and go "look at how not-degenerate I am for not participating in this kind of RP and look at how degenerate you are for participating in it" and I'm genuinely starting to hate having this conversation because they literally only have one joke, one thing to say, and it's that you're a degenerate and they're not

I have immense respect for u as an RPer leyd and I'm not here to take shots at u, but what is this accomplishing? what is the purpose of this, genuinely? we've had conversations in DMs and I know how you feel about certain things and certain types of RP, and I get it. but this is just so out of left field
