Yvaine Conradine stared at the missive... a mixture of emotions coursing through her: relief and sorrow primarily. She lost a brother, but she gained peace as well. Silently that woman prayed, steeled facade dropping for just a moment as she allowed herself a moment to weep from her overwhelmed state.

Asteria blinked at the missive, sure she wasn't Junien's number one fan or anything, but she did feel kind of bad for him. She sighed softly, shaking her head as she set down the paper. "I shouldn't even act surprised by this."

Phillipe van Leuven stared at the missive, mind churning. It should not have come to this - that, he knew - but he also knew that Junien deserved his fate.

Which is a failure on my part. I am sorry, cousin.

No matter. It had happened, and there was nothing he could do about it now, so Phillipe distracted himself with other things.

"What a shame, the man never learned from his mistakes. Perhaps it is for the best," commented Ser Nikolas.

"He had it coming," Esfir sighed. Though she too knew the sting of disownment, she felt no sympathy for the former van Leuven. However, the Countess then opted to pen a letter to Adelina. She, at least, deserved to be checked up on.
