1.20.6 Modpack - Bean Edition

Since version 1.20.6 is coming to Lord Of The Craft soon and many people seem worried about their current mods when updating, I thought it would be helpful to create a modpack with all the mods I recommend for 1.20.6 client side wise. Thanks to @Penginfor assisting me with this/mod confliction testing for me, and also to @Lirinyafor testing the advanced chat mod for us. Also you don’t have to use the vanilla launcher for this and that keep in mind you can use Modrinth’s own one, as it should work just as well for most of these mods.

 

Please note that not all mods will work with each other. We will provide notes under the affected mod to indicate what mods don't work together.

How To Install Fabric:

 

This is on how to install Fabric which is shown below in our required mod section. This information is cited from here.

 

1. Download the Fabric Installer

 

By using the link below you can download the fabric installer.

If you use Windows, download the .exe version (Download For Windows), because it doesn't require Java to be installed on your system. It instead uses Java that came with the official launcher.

For macOS and Linux, you should download the .jar version. Sometimes, you need to install Java before this step.

2. Run the Fabric Installer

Once you've opened the installer, you should see a screen like this:


To install Fabric, simply choose your game version from the dropdown make sure its 1.20.6, and click Install.

 

Make sure that 'Create Profile' is checked.

 

3. You're Done!

 

Once the installer has finished, you can open the Minecraft Launcher and select the Fabric profile from the dropdown in the bottom left corner and press Play!

If there is any troubleshooting needing to be done, refer to the link where this information is from on how to troubleshoot.
 

How To Install Mods Via Fabric:

 

This is on how to install Fabric mods which is the type of mods we have on the modpack. This information is cited from here.

1. Download The Mod

The majority of mods require Fabric API as well, which can be downloaded from Modrinth or CurseForge or below from the required section of our mod list.

 

When downloading the mods, ensure that:

 

- They work on the version of Minecraft you want to play on. A mod that works on version 1.20, for example, might not work on version 1.20.2.

- They are for Fabric and not another mod loader.

- Furthermore, they are for the correct edition of Minecraft (Java Edition).

 

2. Move The Mod To The Mods Folder.

 

The mods folder can be found in the following locations for each operating system.

 

You can usually paste these paths into the address bar of your file explorer to quickly navigate to the folder.

Windows:

%appdata%\.minecraft\mods

MacOS:
 

~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods

Linux:

 

~/.minecraft/mods

Once you've found the mods folder, you can move the mod .jar files into it.

3. You’re Done!

Once you've moved the mods into the mods folder, you can open the Minecraft Launcher and select the Fabric profile from the dropdown in the bottom left corner and press play!

Sodium

Sodium is a powerful rendering engine and optimization mod for Minecraft 1.16+ which greatly improves performance and graphical quality. It boasts wide compatibility with the Fabric mod ecosystem when compared to other rendering-focused mods, and it does so without compromising on how the game looks, giving you that authentic block game feel.

Advanced Chat Mods

AdvancedChatCore ((Base Mod))  -
This mod primarily adds internal features used by other modules, filter out profanity from chat, and adds the ability to display the time that a message was sent.

AdvancedChatHUD -
This mod  is an overhaul of Minecraft chat HUD adding many new features.

AdvancedChatBox -
This mod allows for complex suggestions and tab completion to be added into the Minecraft chat box.

No Reports

This mod strips cryptographic signatures which are attached to every chat message sent from 1.19 and onwards. Removing them makes it impossible to track and associate your chat messages with your Minecraft client, and, by extension, Microsoft account.

3D Skinlayers

Already mentioned for the minimap thing and yea bobby can be a pain some people like it so i put it in as a either or option with an alterative which was distance horizons.

- On Xaeros minimap it is only against the rules if used with entity render which can easily be turned off within both mods settings and I already have included a disclaimer for players do to so also if players have problems with turning it off I will help them out on how to do such. If you wish to use the fair version of such you can, I do not dictate what mods you do or do not use for the server

Turning off Entity Render is literally the entire purpose of the FP Version though, while entity rendering is on by default for the regular version.

If memory serves correct, this one is actually against the rules unfortunately due to the fast building (printing) being considered exploiting. Personally, I don't see any real issue with it, but that had been the Moderation stance for some time at least. I could be wrong though and maybe this was overturned at some point but was never really brought up. Thoughts? @Josh3738

At present it is an allowed mod and i have seen quite a few builders use it, even hogobojo suggested it's usage in his own mod post. Though i understand and appreciate your concern.
