As Mortality has perched upon their golden thrones, reveling in the light of our world, basking in its radiant splendor as they reigned over the day, we have lingered in silence. Our kin slaughtered, raided, burned, and exiled to cower in shadows, to recoil from the blinding light.

 

Until now...

 

With our king dead, our chains are shattered. We awaited his command, and now in his eternal absence, we shall seize what is rightfully ours, we shall claim what we are due. To the cattle of this realm, we exact a tax—a tax forged in the blood of mortals. Bow down and offer us your’s, and we shall spare your cities, your villages, your pitiful Citizens. Should you refuse, we will take it by force.
