"Away from the bustle you have always known, in the stillness of the tundra, you will decide what you truly want for yourself."

That was what Ululani was left with. Not a word of support or encouragement, but a brief few wise words from Magnolia - and what was a look of pride in the ‘ame who stared back with glass-like ocean hues. She did not truly understand why she had to do such a thing. Why she had to wander to such a place that she had thus avoided did not make sense. As far as she knew, it served her no purpose other than being told to survive and reflect amongst the fields of white. She had not doubted the druid thus far. What was holding her back now?

Foreign, strange, the unknown, the usually barefooted farfolk elfess confined herself to some boots and thick apparel for warmth, trekking through the powdered lands between the few clustered pines that protruded and stood proudly from the earth. Her mind fell empty, though it was not uncommon for one who wandered far and wide. The soft crunching of her boots hypnotized her, eyes glazing toward the pale horizon as the trees fell behind her, beholding to her endless dunes of white.

Reflect. Pause. Think.

It was almost as if she were contained in walls of white. Nothing to aid the voices, her voices. Nothing to influence the ‘ame’s ever distant and blank mind. For once, in the midst of nothingness, she found her peace. She found her silence. Despite being nothing, she clung to it desperately, fingers wrapping around the emptiness of the void. How she yearned for the quiet and how comfortable she found it within years in the tundras. . . It was horrific.

This was something she longed for, something her heart desired. Peace of mind. And yet, with a decision on the line, she would no longer know of its serenity. Was what she was called for worth it? At this rate, the desire to slink away into the frozen mists, lost, gone, forlorn to wander for eternity looked better than being crowded with voices - loud, chaotic and overwhelming - that would follow her for the rest of her years. Would it be worth it?

Within her last few days, the elfess trekked as far as she could. As long as she kept moving in the midst of the hypnotizing powdered dunes, she could retreat as far away from these thoughts as she could; as if the movement were allowing her to run away from it, as if her thoughts were physically materialistic items. And there amongst the rhythmic crunching of the snow beneath her boots, did silence dawn on her form. Coming to a halt to where she had aimlessly brought herself. A place of elevation at the near peak of the mountains. Whilst her gaze was dotting the ground, a blank white canvas, suddenly soft streaks of blue… shifting hues of teal, violet, green, painting the pale snow into a bright palette of colours. The lights swirled and twirled before her on the ground. Where there were shadows and the dim lit moon light, did there suddenly appear trinkling starlight that found it's way to earth. It was then and there her eyes lifted to the heavens. . .

This contains an image of:

Aurora. It danced, it sung, it played in the midst of her seafoam eyes. The aurora welcomed Ululani with tranquil lights, and what filled her ears, a symphony. From what was the comfortable utter silence, noise filled the elfess’ surroundings, like an orchestra tuning their instruments, while in utter complete nonsense, many a dissonance - did harmonies still fall into place, as did many songs, stories, words untold play at once into a satisfying cacophony. A fiery warmth in the midst of the fearful cold did her heart flicker aflame. A profound sense of belonging in the middle of nowhere and yet, in that moment as she looked to the starry colourful sky, did she find herself in a place where the pandemonium of music to her was in itself beautiful. A beautiful, chaotic, balanced mess.

Ululani then made her choice.

Thank you so much to @craneia for giving me the opportunity to give me the chance to put my writing skills to the test, opening the doors for my character to Druidism, and what may be a HUGE part developing Ululani's story especially with giving her MORE trauma to deal with hehe <3 Thank you for supporting me and encouraging me throughout this

And thank you to @Carson to giving me this character years ago when I was first joined LOTC. Ululani is dear and close to my heart and I would not have it any other way.
Who would have thunk that it'd come this far 3 years later after a small chat about being polynesian? Thank you for giving me the chance to play her from her youth to her LONG LONG years of living.
