Marjorie sat by the fire in the Falkner Manor, the air in her chest sucked out as she reads the words on the paper in her hand. "Oh Sterling...what are we gonna do now?" She asks the ceiling above her, tears streaming down her cheeks, before moving to the kitchen to prepare a meal to take Arowyn in this hour of grief.

[!] A stray emissary rushes into the Grand Library of Rah'tuma as he sits upon a throne-like office chair with a quill in his hand, composing a sacred letter of hieroglyphic inscriptions as he mutters prayers to Te'uth, great spirit of Knowledge. The Pharaoh directly faces the onyx-gold shrine of the ibis-headed spirit as he focuses.

"Pharaoh," The emissary said in-between raspy breaths, "Grand Duke Sterling has been slain."

Atemu places his quill flatly upon the granite floors of the library and his expression goes blank. He turns towards the courier and stares at him for what seems like an eternity, before finally speaking. "Inform the Vizier, and prepare the chariot, I will deliver my condolences to his family directly."

With that, the courier fled and Atemu turned towards the shrine of Te'uth, reminiscing over his past interactions with the Grand Duke, and the unparalleled kindness he demonstrated to the Rah'mun peoples.

"Sterling may have been a canonist," he began, "but he recognized the power of our Gods and understood that Ka'tau is an indispensable part in wiping the Isfetians clean from this world. In our time of need, when kingdoms around the world sought my head, the Duke and his people supported me. He permitted us to directly challenge the presence of Isfetians in the forests of his lands, and drive them out. Because of him we brought the 'Vicar' to his knees. His kindness will never be forgotten." Atemu said, solemnly.

Cerrick looked out to the West from his towers, looking towards the Silasian people with a hand to his chest. "To the greatest ally I ever knew, I am sorry I couldn't do more. The one leader who wasn't a coward."

Word was delivered to the dour Princess Milena whilst she was in the midst of sorting through tomes--books and scrolls gifted unto the royal household by Ser Sterling himself. Now, it seemed, those pages carried a weight to them. Some sort of final blessing to his original homeland, to bestow upon them the knowledge he had gained over his many years of life.

The High General of the Igarashi returned to the cold North with Aurelia just after Sir Sterling arrived.

"Family reunion time!"

he viciously commented as he opened the gates for the Jackalope who reeled in the bound Aurelia, and laid her down in the snow for Sir Sterling to witness.

"He should've listened to our offer..."

He told The Spider as they brought the pair to her. He scoffed, he did not care for them.

"A fine edition to my legions. . . maybe then he shall listen to me!"

His hissing voice boomed through the icy halls, followed with sickly cackles to be heard throughout the mountains.

The elder knight - Ser Audo Weiss "The Raven" -, now youthful in his vigil in the Seven Skies, appeared to the fallen hero. He was without flaw, without scar, without burn - aside from how one of his eyes appeared to remain robotic, though if only an illusion of his creation - a curious choice of form as an ode to his own princess, Veronica. At seeing his old friend, a smile graced him. "A little late, aren't vy?" He joked, a lighter heart than in his later living days.

Audo would certainly not forego the opportunity to greet the knight, even if perhaps late in his arrival, for amongst the order Ser Sterling had stood as a true friend, not merely one he had mentored or raised; an external force who allowed his soul to harbour good virtues, rather than the brutalistic manner of the Raev, who were ever-dour and favouring of innate power. A difficult force to wrangle, they had always proved. Yet, Ser Sterling was the one who supported him. He was the one who formulated plans with the ex-paramount. He was the one that supported his ascention about most others. He was the one that, despite his odd claim to knighthood, proved himself stangely worthy of the role. In a way, Ser Sterling had reminded him of a tamer
Ser Carrot in his honour - a cherished figure who was but a hazy memory.

Casting a hand out, he invited Ser Sterling to walk with him through the gentle, warm embrace of Sierra.
"Ea think we've much to catch up on, vy old goat."
