Hi there! My name is Atra/Ari, 19, she/he, EST. I'm new to LOTC overall and been having a hard time trying to find consistent people to roleplay with that match my playstyle. I've kinda just been wandering around the map and familarizing myself with some of the places around; it's been fun, i've met a few people, but I don't know how to meet anyone outside of surface-level impressions. For context, i'm not an extreme political intrigue roleplayer nor someone who likes combat roleplay, i'm someone who much more perfers DnD esque fantasies that can range from light-hearted with really good angsty character moments and such; i'm a sucker for found family, romance, and great friendships. For even more context; my persona right now is a very young adult elf with amnesia who's very jittery, sesnitive, and paranoid but happy overall and gulliable/dumb as ****.

So. . if that sounds like someone you're interested in RPing with please feel free to comment below! Sorry if I didnt format this right, i'm new to forums. Feel free to contact me here or (perferred) discord: @ atrament

Hey there! Welcome to LOTC :D Swing by Petra and it's neighbouring city Chambery if you want, I feel like a lot of the community there would vibe with your preferred writing style!

@kuebiko ahhh it does look really cute but I’m worried since I’m not playing a child character, I’m playing an adult one !

What do you define as high fantasy as that can be a really broad descriptive term.

I'll go ahead & offer the idea below, you let me know if it is something that interests you & fits the theme you intend to play along:

Your character would play as a member of a family of Farfolks whose patriarch obsesses over recovering the fabled mage-masonry of an old kingdom that existed on a previous map of the server called Mihyaar. The family's patriarch encourages his junior family members to seek after magic, particularly Transfiguration & Alchymie, as these appear to be the arts most closely related to the mage-masonry used to amend architecture for both aesthetic & defensive purposes. The family has a crafty sense for merchantry, with the family making thousands of minas from the trade of books & paintings, & an unique cultural experience being a minority Farfolk culture residing in the Highland realm of Haense.

@Gaius Marius - Widu Marikhi there, that looks quite fun with the idea of arts and magic , but I am looking for something for my elf persona! is it limited to farfolk only?

You can adopt the cultural tradition with your Elf, we have a Forest Dwarf played by MouseMousington actually who is part of the family in this manner.

I will throw out that there's a fun magic college run by my pal Mr_Etan that exists in the general Petra area. I believe it's located in Chambery, which is the port city next to petra's main city. Petra itself is also just a pretty fun place to be, it's quite relaxed

You'll wanna rp send a letter to Avindor played by Mr_Etan. Here's a public missive (and some general details) about it that can help you out:
