From the spiraling ivory towers of Numenost, a flaxen haired girl witnessed the Ship's arrival. She held a caged frog 'pon her arms, standing alongside another youth; @Spoopy_Duck. Marciana addressed him then,  speaking after her finishing of a great, large slice of cake.

"Can you get me another pet from these kindly folks?"

Yooo! I'm Korean IRL so this is really cool to see!

"Salamduel" does mean "people", if that's what you meant, awesome!

I really love seeing people appreciate our culture. I should make a Hyeol-yeon again...

The silver eyes of the prince stared out towards the sea, briefly turning to the girl beside him,
"Will you be equally repulsed by a creature of the sea as well?"

Fun fact: Salamdeul literally means "People" in Korean.

Spoiler

Yeah unfortunately this and some other obvious transliterations across asian people lotc lore is a holdover from the approved 2010s Easterner lore on lotc and so Aeus had to work around it

its the same as minecraft china being called cathant like cathay

unfortunately hyeol-yeon a. doesn't conform to any other aeldin lore ever written and b. is just contemporary/modern korean culture, not joseon or silla era or adapted to lotc in any way other than being elves (don't get me started on asian elves), or it might've been used instead

there was a cunyuan writeup that was done by a few of us really old people to try to make it better conform to lotc lore, or explain away the discrepancies, if anyone wants to see i can show but it isn't formatted for the forums
