AMENDMENT Redlines -A Soul-Shadow never (Or rarely) appearing in combat with something which may affect it would be considered powergaming at ST Discretion. Soul Lag must manifest at least once every [4] emotes within combat, regardless of who the Scion is fighting. Purpose: Shoutout to LobsterLarry for (belatedly) reminding me of the actual issue on recollection - while Soul Lag is forced to occur within certain combat “or else”, there isn’t any actual upper boundary on how many rounds can pass between manifestations of Soul Lag before you’re considered powergaming. Non-combatively, it is effectively the same as it currently is, and for Scion’s attempting to actively use Soul Lag this offers no change, as there remains a [1] emote cooldown between manifestations- it simply makes one of the drawbacks of the Arcane Scion more prevalent and less vague “do this please” with no clear guidelines or redlines. It's more a issue I've noted in general, and not specifically with him (though given the only reason he was powergaming in our most recent encounter was because I was playing a character with soul-afflicting magic - otherwise what he did was technically alright); the redlines only clarify how frequently it can show up, not the max duration of gaps between. I can imagine plenty of scions have intentionally or otherwise done the same as Lobster because its vague and like everything vague in void you just do something /shrug.
