The storied legacy of the Ivory Company traces its origins back to the lofty peaks of Athera, where it was founded by the venerable Alaric Keen as a mercenary band. In an age when the Apostolic Kingdom held firm and the defenders of St. Lucien's way stood watch, the Ivory Company emerged as a bastion of faith and justice, offering aid in fighting off the daemons and witches that haunted their peaks.

 

Through centuries of change, the Ivory Company has remained a central force among the Ivöri people, grounded in the creed and traditions laid down by its founder. While it no longer serves as a mercenary company, its role as the fighting and defending force for Ivöria endures. Within a multi-caste structure of Ivöri society, the Ivory Company brings together some of the most renowned fighting forces of the Ivöri people, forming an army prepared to act when called upon.

The Knights of Ivor command the highest respect among the Ivöri people. Established by Lord Vincent Keen at the outset of his exodus, the Knights were envisioned as the guiding force for their community. Determined to preserve the distinct culture of the Ivöri and prevent it from being absorbed or diluted, Vincent formed an order committed to upholding Alaric's Creed. 

 

As such, the Knights of Ivor are held to the highest standards of the creed and are expected to exemplify its principles in every action and word. Such values include:

Beneath the Knights, the levy stands as a disciplined and dependable force, composed of men carefully selected for their skill and potential. Among its ranks, the Princeps Levy occupies a distinguished role. Furthermore, any within the levy are groomed for Knighthood, though their path is not set in stone. Working alongside the Knights while maintaining their own independent responsibilities, they guard envoys, secure events, and, most critically, serve as the primary defenders of the House of Keen. When battle strikes, they are ready.

III. The Jonesguard

The Jonesguard serves a distinct and specialized role, focusing on the protection and oversight of Ivöri settlements and known areas of their people. Often referred to as a local guardforce, it upholds laws, customs, and the integrity of the community. Unlike the Knights and Levy, the Jonesguard is more ceremonial in nature, presenting itself as a symbol of the people's spirit. Despite this, it is often entrusted with unique missions and has gained acclaim for its adeptness in navigating the woods, forests, and jungles of Aevos and previous lands. Named after the esteemed House of Jones, a respected family among the Ivöri, the Jonesguard carries a legacy of honor and service.
