[!] Missives are pinned on the town boards of Balian, the city of Elizabeth, as well as Lemon Hill. So too are they delivered by courier rat to the leaders of each land.

On the matter of Georgiana Wick, and the recent passing of Glim Wick

To his Holiness Ro’eh Tzon of the blessed Papal States, Prince Edward Caius of the Duchy of Alba, and to King John II of the Kingdom of Balian. Just a saint’s day ago, a staple and beloved member of our Wickish clans, Glim Wick, perished in the streets of Balian. His death ‘twas not a crime pursued by a lone individual, but rather, as has been told to us, a crime of a few members. While the facts of the matter are most hazy, as they may often be blurred by chattering wives and busybodies- of which every land far and wide is subject to, we have but a simple request.

On the matter of Georgiana’s involvement, we most humbly request to investigate, trial, and subject her to the laws of our family and of our land. Due to the crime involving a Wick-on-Wick altercation, it is only tradition to resolve the issue interfamilial in a Court of Candle. It is assured we would seek out eye witnesses, and exhume the corpse of Glim Wick to inspect for potential causes of death.

To His Holiness, and to the Lordship of Alba, any potential crimes done by Georgiana were done on Balianite land. No man nor woman should be tried twice, nor thrice for a potential crime committed in a lone Kingdom. For this reason, the Kingdom of Balian should be solely granted jurisdiction.

While Georgiana remains out of Wick custody for the time being, if the Kingdom of Balian does refuse our request for a Court of Candle, upon her capture she would be hastily extradited to the Kingdom for questioning and trial. As well, the body of Glim Wick has been put to rest. Though, should the Kingdom of Balian wish to further perform autopsy on the cadaver, the grave may only be unsealed once as per candlemass right. This would be permitted, should the need arise.

In our most humblest request, let justice be dealt.

We aren’t done yet.

"I hated that blind mean old rat," remarked the aforementioned Georgiana as she read the missive. "Yet - he did not deserve to die in whatever way he did. May he meet VIC in the next life."

"Hes passed onto the seven skies.." The young Lady of Lewes; Antonia Letizia bowed her head in prayer for the passing Wick. "It's a shame he died on Macolms coming of age as well, it was such a beautiful day perhaps it can still be considered such GOD finally called Glim home." She paused though however remembering the incident at the party. "I do hope that was not the reason for his death."

The Countess of Salia, whose land the terrible deed was committed on, spent the entire evening seething. Upon being delivered the Wickish missive, she exhaled a brief sigh of relief. Esfir then beckoned a nearby courier to pen a more private response, and thus a letter was delivered. Once it was sent, she uttered with great distaste to the servant beside her, "To think something so terrible could have happened here.. and such violence against one's own kin, nie less! It is despicable, is it niet? Surely that Georgiana shall seek Godan's wrath as payment for her sins."

"They wish for a trial on their terms?" The King of Balian scoffed, his lips curling into a frown. "The arrogance. This trial shall take place per the laws of the land, not a so-called 'Candle Court'," he stated plainly.
