Anorhil Carandir rested at Minas Aranath, hunched over a map as he contemplated the recent events. His silver gaze lingered on Krugistan. Had the Rex spoken the truth? Would the Vinovians remain, to fight again and again? Where were they hidden? The Harren Prince shook his head; he would not let it distract him. There was work to do, and a Plan to fulfill. A clerk of the court provided him the publication, and his eyes immediately fell to the High Adunic printed proudly at the bottom. Anorhil smiled a Caius' smile, and remarked;

"Everything happens always."

Amused, a Vinovian knight gazed upon the missive.

"Things are happening."

He smiled and began to laugh, a wonderful sound.

"Things are happening."

A household servant hastily transferred the missive to the King of Balian, who read its contents with a resolute gaze. The past year had been one of intrigue and strife; blood was shed senselessly, and men were compelled to question neighbours they had once called friends. Such was the duality of man. The Vinovians were yet another example of mortals falling prey to aspirations for power and status, and they would not be the last.

"I sincerely hope that reason and kinship will prove greater than the misguided ambitions of the wicked," John II mused, pondering what the future may entail. Yet, in the present, he directed his retinue to make due preparations, for they had been called upon...

Kezmur would read the note solemnly. He stood in front of a group of his fellow peasant militamen. Each Vinovian had their own story, their own life, their own families, and their own reason to take up the sword for pay. They fought for their own glory and gain instead of some nobles. Yet many themselves were canonists, and he would now have to demand they turn their swords on their countrymen and their own clergy. How could he convince these men, with fickle allegiances and power, to fight GOD and his cronies?

He began his speech towards them, hoping to rally them one last time:

“Boyz, the church excommunicated us. This means. until it's over, YOU ALL GET HAZARD PAY!”

The camp responded with roaring applause.

A brief missive is promulgated as an addenda to the full rebuke:

"From the office of Enrique Cardinal Du Loc Pinieda, to those that defended us in our time of need, thank you from His High Holiness and the College of Cardinals for coming with your swords and bows to fight the bandit menace on such short notice. Unity among Petra, Hyspia, Koyo-Kuni, Numendil, and the Pontifical States in militaristic rebuke of these vile bandits hopefully speaks of joy, unity, and prosperity from now until eternity. Thank you too, to those who could not be contacted so soon, that still offered support and signed pacts to obliterate the Vinovians moving forward."

"Ahyes. They should probably return to the galaxy they came from" commented Father Elim to Holyser Raullin, his daily companion, while shopping for lemons now that the orchards were fertilized in bandits blood.
