"The 'Age of Dragons' is finally upon us. Yet our saviour is no nephilim... He is an emperor."

An ancient traitor-Ashford smiled weakly, four centuries on from the fall of his home city; the greatest capital Man had ever known.

"May GOD have mercy on us all."

"The blood of the dragon remains true, and potent," remarked Cecily to her husband, Edward, riddled still by tremors after the August presentation at the last Burgundian Court, "but now, it has found its arbiter in Tiberias I. Domine, salutem facemus Imperator." The matriarch of the Johannians submitted completely, before her liege, The Emperor of Man.

Lorelei Mairi Alstion-Enswerp knelt quietly in the dim chapel, her hands trembling slightly as she lit each candle with care. The soft glow flickered against the stained-glass windows, casting shards of crimson and gold across her pale face. Her voice barely rose above a whisper. “God save us all,” she murmured, her gaze fixed on the altar as if willing heaven to hear.

"Tiberias is NOT a Horen, he's like a Van Aert, or whatever, I don't know!" Said Anton Brae (Who had no relation to the actual Brae lineage)

"It is the Tenth Empire, you dolts." Kvetches a red-maned historian, setting quill to parchment on a new chronicle to inaugurate the new Imperium.

For the longest time, the watchman stood staring out into echoes before him. For a time, it felt like he could keep his eyes open, but eventually he felt the weight of the bags and soon enough his eyes shuttered closed, in this brief respite the watchman saw something he didn’t understand; One life, fully lived, shown in brief moments. He reached out, as if to grasp at something and he felt a tug from the other side.

Two boys both blackened of hair chase each other through the halls, their screams of joy echoing through the palace. The older boy quickly catches up, “I told you I was faster than you!” he says, going into a nearby cabinet and tossing two toy swords on the ground. “Let's see if you’ve learned anything from that old Mage!"

Quickly slashes become bashes, and the older brother knocks the smaller one to the ground with a fierce trash, the child falls to the ground as if the wind and dignity was knocked from the boy's body. But instead of gloating, the older brother drops his sword and offers  his hand. The two boys look at one another for just a moment, nothing said yet they both understood for this last fleeting second that family was above everything.

The two boys spent most of their life fighting anything they could whether it be each other or enemies, yet still both felt a sense of loyalty to the blood that coursed through their veins. Lessons taught from father to son and passed from generations, the real reason that House has stood the test of time. Family is all that mattered. Stronger together then split.
