I saw you grow, I saw you smile, I saw you cry and laugh. I could not be prouder of who you’ve become, as you were my little breever, my best friendo, my comrade. I was fortunate enough to see each of our steps and each of your achievements. But remember, when we stand at our peak, we are also closest to the edge of our fall. Still, I believe you will make your Okaasan proud. Remember who you are and that you have nothing to prove to anyone– be your happiest self for your own sake, and moreover, you are never truly alone. No matter how solitary the path of duty may feel, there are people who love you, who wish to see you grow stronger, and I know you will achieve your goals in honor. Stay sharp, Mikaze-san. My duty now leads me elsewhere, and through my transformation, I’ve realized I must venture forth and depart. Yet you will always be family, distant or not, you will remain little Mikaze to me. Konbanwa, Ichiro-sama. This is a letter of farewell, or perhaps simply a “see you later.” I wish to express my gratitude for your wisdom and kindness. You always treated me with respect, as an equal, and as a friend with whom I could share a drink. I will always remember our small exchanges—your orders at the Izakaya, mine at the Grub-Bucket. A man of business, no less! Thank you for those moments. I hope that one day we may share sake together once more. For now, I depart on a path of enlightenment, to dwell in freedom of spirit, yet still bound by the roots of my Oyashiman blood. Take care, my friend. - Seisho Ehiba

Yet your journey is not over, your story not yet fully written, for you will evolve to a better leader than I ever was. I want you to remain free, to be like an unchained bird, soaring across the open sky. My imouto, my proud geisha—keep singing, for I will hear your song across the distance and cheer for your art. Know that I will always be there to protect you, but I must depart and say my farewells to find my calling and live the life I want. Your mother will need your help; be there for her. Ena-san, for you, I will brew drinks worthy of your table, refine my tactics, and ensure that, even from afar, Sakuragakure remains safe. Though I may no longer walk within its walls, know that I remain your ally. I will be your blade, your ears, and your voice in spirit. Auntie A, you and Iena were the first to welcome me into your walls. I, who was lost in Norland and far from my roots, was reminded by you why I love being Oyashiman. Our passion, our boldness, our defiance against impossible odds—that is what it means to be one of us. It is a memory I will always carry. You have been my strong leader, my hero, and my inspiration. Perhaps this letter will disappoint you, but I must leave to pursue my own bright future. To find my happiness. I am no longer bound by titles or rules, but only by my duty: to fight evil, to heal wounds, and to protect life wherever it dwells, and all in all, I will remain loyal to the Oyashimen. Arigatō, for being the moon of our nation and the voice of reason for so many. One of these days, I would quite enjoy to share a friendly sparring duel with you– to truly witness your utmost might. My first student, my wild, strange Miko, Geisha, and now Okami. You have grown so much, standing by my side until the very end, despite my flaws. You deserve my apology more than anyone. Only now, tethered to the forest beyond, do I realize how harshly I treated you. My words were unforgiving. But hear me now: there was never anything wrong with you, with your child, or with the man you loved, so long as he cherished you. It was always your life, your decision, and I am proud of you for choosing it. I am so happy that you remained true to your heart and kept yourself whole. What a strong Geisha you have become. Stay free, stay unbroken. Be violent, if you still wish. There is no tradition, only family.

Please, prepare Choumi to become the next Okami of our order. She will need your strength. That is my last, selfish request. - Seisho Ehiba

Yuki, Grae. If I ever treated you poorly or failed to give you the attention you deserved, forgive me. I still grieve that another forced you onto the path of steel. You did not deserve it. Nor did you deserve me giving you ultimatums, asking you to change who you were. You are one of my gifted students, and I could not have been prouder to be your teacher. Tough as steel, yet soft as a butterfly within. There was never anything wrong with who you are. If someone tries to force you to stay in a place or to become something you do not wish—ignore them. Be selfish, for your own happiness. Next time I see you, I want to see a grin across your face! No sadness! KAKAKA!

I will depart from Koyo-kuni, for I must. To find my happiness, my calling, and to continue my duty. You are free to remain there and aid the Kato clan, for I hold no enemies, and I will still help their circle as I can. But should you wish to walk the same path as I, the path of a Seisho, I will be there for you. If not, then please… help Hina prepare Choumi.
