Hey now. I know what you’re thinking. This origins section is incredibly long. Cut me some slack, okay? The word count of this origin was initially standing at 3223 words, but has been effectively cut down to approximately 1000 words or so. I also reassure you, to the readers, that no portion of this origin is filler. Every major notable mechanic, philosophy, spells, and so forth covering this magic is intended to derive or take inspiration from the origins itself, particularly in relation to Yeu Rthulu and her reforged themes. Still, not a rewrite or a redefinition, provided THIS MAGIC IS ONLY POSSIBLE because of this aengul. She is also outdated by lore, and I had hoped this origin could bring new life to her.

ORIGINS
ᴛʜᴇ ꜰɪʀꜱᴛ ᴀɢᴇ

Among the oldest astrals to touch hay before the continents of this era split under the movement of tectonic plates, resting in the night sky was the Celestine. Quite the dramatic introduction, though it was dramatically alert, bold and unpleasantly present. Preservation, to it, was not of passive guardianship like Xan, and it strived in intervention; a merciless hand upon descendants’ shoulders set marked on every demanding occasion. In these first ages, its chosen shardbearers were not guided in lecture. Chess pieces – pawns with their skin-embedded celestial shards were instruments held too tightly by a deity fearful of the frailty of its own construction. In these forsaken bleak and fallen lands, peril was almost unavoidable, merely determined by the guiding survival instinct some may have lacked. In these times, the roster of deities each held onto their cards, among them the revolting and stomach-churning . Enforcing or taking possession never set-play on the Celestine’s cards, though it tightened into the margin of human thinking, cold insistence that forced a pause in hesitance defined as facadic cowardice. The shardbearers, the very first had spoken of it as brightness thrust upon them: a voice nearing behind their eyesight, they needed to press their bodies forward in combative nature on the contrary of its urging instincts; withdraw, withdraw… withdraw!

Mercy, was it? Mercy, mercy… mercy! The belief engraved into their temple.

Once upon a time, just as the presence cried under the repeated fate; a historical age divided by fledgling civilizations and imminent precariousness, a secondary Aengul arose: Potestas, the Aspiring Will, pronounced ‘Po-TESS-tuhss’. The Celestine tended to the continuity and perpetuation of life in its own extreme manner, but Potestas intended to covet its advancement – to promote. And so, Potestas witnessed kingdoms crumble, geniuses passing in mud and dust, descendants succumbing to the simply-perceived threats of the ancient variations of the undead, and touched on the conclusion that life alone was not sufficient; the very verdict that if this world could not produce beings strong enough to shepherd it, he would simply make them. That the Celestine’s suppression of events was merely… insufficient. A card was played to the table, and the deck was shuffled once more. Potestas protested to his followers – rambled on about the inadequate lack of possibilities this world offered before imbuing his evangelists with a huge measure of his divinity, with the exceptional trait of its strong cling to blood itself. Truly a divine feat… descendant neonates were born; descendants with glowing horns, soldiers unable to tire, scholars could grasp in a season what most had dedicated for decades, lifetimes even.

The triumph was short-lived, and with each deity waging war against what they deemed illegal, mostly in protest and speech. Potestas augmented followers, like other bones in a generation, particularly by the third, began to sever itself, youths scalding with inner fire that could not house the immense shape of the power granted to the bloodline. Other bloodlines withered in a single-lifetime, a plague bestowed in the intention of blessing made lethal. The ideal of a new superior descendant lineage-race of inheritable divinity, to dominate lesser descendants like elves and humans, was destroyed by the crudities of mortal biology, a system refusing its total rewrite. Still, armies endured the side-effects.
The Celestine followed the diminution with horror. The Aspiring’s Kingdom was not of its own, but the downfall of whole descendant lines was a flagrant offense to all the deity stood for. Preservation was continuity… but this revelation did not entail the merciless burning of generations who had inherited far too much. Where warning fell short, where intervention was lackluster, it acted.

 

ᴛʜᴇ ᴡᴀʀ ᴏꜰ ᴛʜᴇ ᴀꜱᴘɪʀɪɴɢ ᴡɪʟʟ

 

A card was played in turn, and Celestine re-solidified its greatest channels into immense Celestial Shards – a prototype of the repressed shards of the present day. The said-primitivily constructed shards amplified the deity’s resonance, and shardbearers of that age clashed with Potestas’s army with resilience and patients that no biological descendant could naturally hold or endure, but still forced onwards to battle with a forceful streaming of starlight bestowed by the divine itself to even their bone-breaking beat. It was itself preserved under the auspices of the Celestine, and by these ships it fought on the rising side of Potestas. A sequence of calamities more than a war of armies, the sword wielded by the followers of Potestes’ overwhelmed the Celestine’s force, fashioned by hereditary aengulic force alike. Shardbearers responded in kind by standing tall with no regard to their crumbling bodies. Not long after, shardbearers began to collapse – shards flashed off in the eruption of wild starlight. Shards, and stone wilted in heavenly exaltation. On the ground, it was simpler said than shown; Potestes’s hosts struck harder, faster, provided their forbidden and decaying divine power whilst the shardbearers were compelled to hold the line. Again and again, the Celestine forced its chosen to stand; again… and again!

This ancient war lasted for years, the card game in action for as long. After years of drawn, ruinous war crushed the Shardbearers and brought upon the fall of other intervening kingdoms. As aforementioned hardbearers fell dead amidst their overloaded shards breaking in glass. The Celestine’s Will had pushed too far; preservation in the gist of absolute power and force, had become an engine for destruction. Potestas’s army won the various clashes. Earlier generations were monstrously effective before deterioration. On the occasion of the final retaliation, it was not an army that struck the last blow - a singular shardbearer rather. Some scriptures render this moment differently. He was not the strongest nor was he prominent in any essence, quite the ordinary shardbearer. If Potestas’s dream could not be allowed to harden into a permanently altered superior race, somebody had to stab at its source.

 

The name was Elyon, the Sword of the Stars. The Celestine, in its last hypocritical resort, ensued onto the very same sin. He, at last, did possess a descendant. It poured a measure of its resonance beyond what descendants were meant to hold, akin to the rest. The Celestine controlled this descendant. His eyes glew – carved patterns and his breath was of a foul pale vapour. As he walked to cross paths with the Aspiring Will, the descendant’s body continued to crack. Despite some different tellings of old scripture, it mostly spoke of Elyon’s true strike and for a singular desperate success, the strike annihilated the deity. Potestas fell akin to a star folding into itself. His empowered divine order did not vanish overnight, though eventually devoid of their patron, they dwindled in a long-sad attrition of biology failing to be rewritten. Elyon did not survive. And due to the tempering of morality, the deity, Celestine inevitably succumbed to death at the same time; ceasing to exist in Elyon’s mortal body following possession.

ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴀꜱᴛ-ᴘʀᴇꜱᴇɴᴛ ᴅᴀʏ

Following the deity’s death, its shard as a result of the ancient war bursted into fragments. And there in that silent disillusionment they were discovered by Yeu Rthulu, the Aengul of Compassion, whose wandering thought was attracted instinctively by harmed fragments of fleeting shards in the far fog away from mortal sight. These pieces were not evil. Disillusioned, incriminated relics of a force which had lost confidence in itself, certainly.  The remnants of the Celestine were such pain to Yeu, who once served men with the gentleness of a cobbler, and afterwards with such prudence as the best of the rash. The Aengul of Contentment and Compassion did not intend to raise the fallen god back to life; even if she could, or even redefine what it stood for. Far too in-counter to her bound person. Legend spoke of her antics as contrary to the Celestine – her followers not pawns nor lesser as the Celestine had perceived its own. She viewed all as her equals, to alleviate unnecessary suffrage. Thus, she caught the pieces of the aforementioned broken fragments of celestial shards. Out of pity, did she reform them into lesser shards – the very diamonds that still bore the star’s will in control but instead, Yeu Rthulu tempered with the lesser shard, imbuing it with a definition of preservation, continuity and protection she deemed right in her eyes. They remained starlit but now forcefully softened by the natural benignity of Yeu Rhulu. Something safer for a descendant’s hand to hold.

Her divinity did not melt in the snow of Kevanjun. Certainly had Yeu Rthulu been severed, though her soul did not disappear, wrapped up - changed into the spirit of her amiable patron, Svandra, whose own turn would bring up Saphiel in ascension. Yeu did not come back in body or strive to live again, even. Her will lingered in on this union. A less but persistent response of pity, that was retained in Saphiel by becoming her. Yeu had still been benevolent, and not necessarily holding ambition on the part of a mere successor, it prompted action. Saphiel carried this power in the warmth of his palm, the starlight's will carried to pursue Yeu's wish - a reforged star under her will. 

Had it not been by the hand of Yeu Rthulu,  the remnants of the Celestine would have melted away; the Shards, of which we see the fruit to-day, were only possible because pity saw a struggling divinity, and so kept in check what remained of it. It was safe to say, she stewarded the very essence of it now – and so then she held onto the gentle aspiration to grow followers, equals akin to the inspiration she carried with the palm of her hands.

Conscious she was, the hardened shards as a silent way of selecting those to whom the spirit preservation rather than mere control riddled in facadic continuity appealed. By its survival devoid of a centered religion, she enabled descendants cured with compassion and the intentionality to preserve and protect to naturally tend to her path. Those in due course might tread the smooth path to which she only opens to the deserving, her realm thereafter. 

 

ᴇxᴘʟᴀɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ & ᴄᴏɴɴᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ

A shardbearer is of normal descendant typically invited or chosen to partake in the reforged deific-holy path of Yeu Rthulu, the Aengul of Contentment and Compassion as an equal follower – the very result of a broken will of a once-prosperous deity, now deceased. Between the Celestine laying its conservation by arms too great, Yeu Rthulu collected the bits that remained of its substance, and whitened them into cheaper elements, to Celestial Shards unlike the ancient variations: shrunken remains that respond only to those who strive to preserve life, and not to possess it. Thereafter, by binding these fragments with a passive flow emanating from Kavenjun, she ensured its destructive capabilities were diminished. These Shards, only powered by Yeu’s reformed shard through attunement, can just attach to descendants whose gentle souls are able to tune in to their softened sounding without the disastrous transmissibility that afflicted the productions of Potestas.

A glass shard is handcrafted before the attunement ritual sets foot into the carved shape of a diamond. Once the shard tethers to a shardbearer through the ritual of attunement guided by the assistance of a [TA] holder under the night sky, a descendant is capable of housing its starlight magic through the conduit of its shard. All hold a choice between three placements, only being able to pick ONE to finalize their attunement based on their preferred intention:

Each adhering to a specific role and function showcased later on. The Reborn Star Draw Rite is the attunement ritual in which a chosen descendant becomes a wielding shardbearer. This procedure is not at all based on worship akin to other deities perhaps, instead the intention takes dominion: the intention to protect life, sustain continuity and preserve what we deem worthy. The rite is under obligation to be performed under the night sky where a [TA] holder presses the handcrafted shard in the warmth of their palm before initiating a [5] emote sequence to fulfill Yeu Rthulu’s rite.

Once the ritual concludes, the shard engraved into the apprentice will still be dormant for [1] OOC week. Thus, the soon-to-be shardbearer is required to occasionally declare its intentions to the night sky throughout the said-week. At the end of the week, you will be notified of your ascension to the first tier. Thereby marking the beginning of your journey as a shardbearer. 

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

 ★ Once Tier 5 is reached, the shardbearer is capable of applying to become a [TA] holder, and pass on the reforged and preserved blessing of Yeu Rthulu.

 ★ Shardbearing is incompatible with  All Deific Magics. All Undead / Dark CAs, Corruptive Dark Magics, Any magic or CA that alters, wounds, or rewrites the soul. Voidal Mages, included.

 ★ Shardbearing is, however, compatible with neutral or non-soul-altering magics such as Bardmancy, Golemancy, Housemagery, Animii Crafting, and similar misc feats.
★ Only descendants – humans, elves and so forth – are able to obtain this magic.
★ A player must first grant the [TA] OOC consent to undergo the Rite
★ Whilst a free-form of this rite’s execution is encouraged, it is only imperative to include the Kavenjun’s realm, the shard-engraving and under the night sky. The emotes under this only provide an example, and any sequence as long as it is sensical can proceed to enhance the experience. The Rite is to be done in [5] emotes.

★ The aforementioned shard needs to be physically crafted in a diamond-like shape;  The apprentice needs to select one placement, spine, wrist or forehead. This choice is permanent unless re-attuned.

★ After the ritual, the Shard remains dormant for one [1] OOC week.

[1] The apprentice is instructed to meditate with crossed legs, folded arms and stabilized breathing. The shardbearer is then prompted to speak of its intention beneath the stars.
[2] The shardbearer channels starlight through their own attached shard, allowing aura to spiral into manifestation to tackle both the handcrafted shard and the apprentice, bounding them.
[3] A pain-dulling sensation washes over the apprentice as the realm of Kavenjun is pushed into their senses – only a brief visitation to a realm reserved for the afterlife but bore no pain, disease and the likes. It would feel like a dream for years on years. In that time, the shardbearer kneels with their handcrafted shard and presses it to the designated spot chosen prior to the rite by the apprentice.
[4] With starlight burning, the shard’s edges dissolve into the designated spot chosen prior to the rite by the apprentice. Only halfway engraved, allowing the very base of the shard to reveal itself to the world.
[5] The shardbearer chants to the open air in reassurance to the aengul, anchoring Yeu Rthulu’s realm to a pause. Kavenjun is tapped out of the apprentice’s brain, thereby back into reality.

★ Several concepts and terms, such as Kavenjun, Celestial Shards, shard placements, are intentionally introduced in this section before a full introduction, perhaps to… pull in people? I hope it’s interesting, though Kavenjun is described in the aengul original lore. The sections to come right after this will expand each of these foreign terms to tie in the lore of Yeu Rthulu and this magic, including briefly the Kavenjun Realm, The Shards and how they relate, and more lore about the shard placements that will compliment this magic both narratively and mechanically.

And whilst there is a waiting period of one-week after attunement, it is to influence roleplay and enhance the flavor of which you can roleplay it like. You are completely encouraged to roleplay additional effects like flickering shards, some pain, or whatever you see fit.

Shardbearing | Reborn Stars follows the same standard five-tier across all deific traditions. However, the shard will tend to grow brighter and more responsive over the progression, learning new spells as any other. Advancement does require consistent lessons and instruction from a [TA] holder. No tier may be skipped, and the practitioner should not pass onto a new tier without having been taught every spell available at their current tier.

The Celestial Shard – the reforged and lesser version of the present day is an animated piece of the celestine’s resonance weakened, though nourished and mellowed in the hands of Yeu Rthulu, the Aengul of Compassion and Contentment. When the ancient canals of the Celestine severed itself along with its passing, Yeu Rthulu took what was left of its dissipating nature and cemented it with the placid persistence of her realm, Kavenjun, and allowed the shard to stir back into a lesser shape. A singular shard which manifested under the aeungul’s hand was capable of channeling other shards for her followers, shardbearing that never more might possess itself into a descendant vessel. No more did the shards carry the power of a divine engine, though astral knots of memory they were not to command reality and enforce, but now to assist mortals in preservation, protection and continuity by the means of a deific-mana manifested of starlight. When implanted onto the skin – either along the wrist, spine or forehead – the shard connects directly to the individual’s soul. Alike, this shard is assumed to be the conduit of the deific mana, the only way to shape starlight into existing spells, communicated by Yeu.

The shard is naturally restrained by earthly biology; excessive use will result in inner strain, exhaustion and the likes provided the body was not designed to execute such a power throughout. 

 

   Cᴀꜱᴛɪɴɢ & Sᴛᴀʀʟɪɢʜᴛ

Starlight is the equivalent of a deific-mana coursing through the shardbearer’s soul and contained in the aforementioned shard to not harm the soul – provided starlight is too destructive for a mere biology of descendents to wield without consideration. Starlight does not shape the soul, only anchoring to it. As the shard acts as a conduit for starlight, granted by the spiritual and physical association it holds to Yeu Rthulu’s realm, it does not intend to preserve destructive power or crude force as its ancient variant had. Instead, it is a soft celestial alignment that reinforces the three intentions being: continuity, stabilization and preservation. A shardbearer only needs to formulate a conscious connection for [1] emote by attuning their mind and intention back to Kavenjun, the realm, prior to casting to effectively conjure starlight from the shard. A shardbearers casting tell may be two colors in the form of mystic energies, constellated with a choice of few shapes to resonate with the shardbearer’s aura. Once the connection is formed, the bearer can start bending starlight into shapes corresponding to each specific spell. All spells are different, and hold different emote counts.

Assuming in a casting position, when the bearer is hit by as little, a punch, loses focus or the likes, their manifestation will collapse instantly and the shardbearer is required to reconnect. However, they can relocate their steps whilst casting by [4] blocks, and no more. Some spells will demand stationary stances, as well. Starlight is not a hoard or a pre-prepared material of stock. It occurs as long as it is actively being formed, and disappears as soon the objective or otherwise is concluded. That brings us to the modifications a shard can have.

 

Sʜᴀʀᴅ ꜰᴏʀɢɪɴɢ | Aᴇꜱᴛʜᴇᴛɪᴄ Vᴀʀɪᴀᴛɪᴏɴꜱ
No shard to bear can ever be bestowed upon in its wholeness according to Yeu’ Rthulu’s will. To attune to the reborn stars through Yeu’s realm, and assuming a [TA] holder has already agreed to perform the attunement rite, one must first shape their shard out of glass in the form of a diamond-cut prism capable of receiving Yeu’s starlight blessing. At this stage, the shard is completely banal and it holds no power to wield just yet.

The shard must be crafted by either an artisan, jeweller, alchemist, perhaps the [TA] holder or the apprentice themselves provided they meet the fundamentals of its structure. The shard must have a prismatic shape, but be symmetrical enough to permit the interior refraction of light, and it may be built in TWO COLOURS OF GLASS interwoven into the structure like constellations or vein of crystal.

Additionally, basic decorative etchings are allowed on its surface – stars, crescents, smiley faces, hearts, lines – whatever it may be.

Once the shard is constructed with the preferred two choices of colours and shapes, and assuming the apprentice is now connected with the said-shard. Each shardbearer’s casting tell is visualized by the shard they crafted or commissioned; the colors chosen being the two primary constellations of colors and shapes of the shardbearer’s aura whilst casting, and the starlight now is effectively influenced by the shard’s modifications. Additionally, say for instance a shield was created by one of the spells. The chosen motif or emblem will stick to the shield’s front, and the primary colors can manifest the said-shield in its respective colours. Remember, you can be flavorful!

- Indigo & Silver – Star Shape
[1] As the shard at the shardbearer’s wrist warmed as she connected, she began to cast her desired defensive spell. Indigo light bled through her veins, before a mist akin to the color rose to engulf her frame. Flecks of silver trailed just behind, and it shredded through the mist with outlines. The Shardbearer raised her arm, and as starlight trailed out her shard, tiny star-shapes began to spiral around her starlight to form the shape of her chosen spell.

[2] The shardbearer was furious – not yet enraged but drowning in what he perceived as unjust and unfair. To rival three archers wielding malflame? God damn it, he mused. As his starlight drew along the shard planted on his forehead, seeping through his armor gaps, it began constructing a shield made with a radiant glow of gold. With it, an obvious shape of a heart implanted to the shield’s front. It was not an intimidating shield by any means, but certainly it was a shield. 

 

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ Shard colours, motifs and aura visuals are purely aesthetic or cosmetic, and it does not somehow enhance or apply different effects to a spell or the likes.
★ Shards may not be etched with functional runes, wards, sigils or enchantments to somehow strengthen it. The shard will simply reject it. Just mundane etchings and normal colors.
★ A shardbearer’s aura, as any other, is not meant to blind, obscure vision or interfere with combat advantage in any way. Your aura is a casting tell, and it makes you look super cool.
★ Aesthetic manifestations, your aura, cannot interact with the environment in any form; no heat, no heightened  awareness to others, etc.
★ The aura is typically as moderate as the rest, only surrounding your body. Try and abstain from battle-field flooding light. You are encouraged to alter your aura to shape your spells, and so forth, as long as they do not invoke an overpowering radiance that takes the spotlight.
★ A shard’s aesthetic modifications are fixed and permanent after attunement, and it cannot be altered without full re-attunement.
★ A shardbearer or a shard modification is not allowed to replicate any other magics’ aura – no matter the category – as this constitutes as a form of powergaming or unfair play. Be creative!

 

Sᴛᴀʀʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ Exᴇʀᴛɪᴏɴ
As previously mentioned and now established, Starlight is derived from deific-mana reforged by the Yeu Rthulu, Aengul of Contentment and Compassion. With a softening of the shard’s flow through Kavenjun, it is yet not a perfect vessel that a mortal descendant body can be. All spells coerce starlight tune through the shard and into the blood, bone and breath and thus there must be limitations in using this magic. This burden is measured in Starburden Counts, a measure of how much the caster has suffered in a continuous scene or encounter, non-combative and combative.

Starlight cannot just be recovered mid-combative scenario or ‘spent-wisely’. The shardbearer builds, until the body fails to fulfill their intentioned promises of preservation, protection and continuity. Each spell in the upcoming list of spells will be assigned a Starburden Count ranging from [0.5 - 3] counts depending on how much shaping and structuring the spell requires for completion, typically varied by its strength and tier.

When a shardbearer leaves an encounter or is out of a combative scenario, their counts will start to reset back to zero in the span of [30] OOC minutes assuming they have not reached the final stage of starburden, which lengthens the cooldown. All shardbearers from their inception begin with [10] counts to fill.

✧ Lucent State - 0 to 3 Counts
» The Shard’s starlight will pause as normal, and it is still safe to use. It is quite oddly warmer, though not necessarily uncomfortable. The shardbearer is safe in this state, and may strive.

✧ Resonant Strain - 4 to 6 Counts
» The Shard’s starlight begins to faintly spread across your veins or simply near the shardbearer’s shard site. The shardbearer’s chosen shard site may suffer some trembles, irregular blinking or back-pain. The Shardbearer is still functional, but certainly irritated.

✧ Celestial Burn - Above 7-8 Counts.
» The Shardbearer’s body begins to rebel against the shard, and thus an almost molten flickering pain beneath the shard’s location site will radiate. The shardbearer’s movements are slowed by [2] blocks. At this point, this is a last stand.

✧ Stellar Collapse - Above 9+ Counts
» The body could no longer contain the starlight’s load. The shardbearer’s visions whitens in hallucinations of stars, before collapsing into unconsciousness. If a shardbearer reaches this stage, they are hereby unable to use their magic for [12] OOC hours.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★Starburden Counts must be faithfully tracked by the player during both non-combative and combative encounters. Choosing to ignore the exertion stages is considered bad faith, and can likely get you in trouble. Stay true to good roleplay, my friend.
★A shardbearer is unable to just ‘decide’ that their body is unaffected by a stage once its threshold is crossed; the strain is an inherent property of the starlight’s deific-mana being too extreme for descendant biology.
★ Stages of exertion stack on top of other existing injuries, fatigue or environmental hardship.
★ Stellar Collapse is unable to be resisted or nullified by other magics, potions, boon or potions. It may at best, assuming an appropriate lore about a potion or magic is used, delay it by an emote or two.
★Roleplay the pain out, and ensure healing is present in your roleplays! You are also encouraged to attach flavor to however you see fit the shard’s punishment towards your character; whether it is a burn across your arms, marks under your eyes, and so forth. 

 

VOIDAL CURSE Shardbearers must preserve and bring order, whereas the void stirs dissolution unneeded confliction. Whenever Voidal magic is present, that being an environment with [3+] Voidal Mages active in casting, void-saturated objects, hit by a Voidal Mage’s Magic or Voidal tears and the likes, the shard will suffer disorientation. The mere presence of the void will disrupt the bond of the shard to the reconstructed star of Yeu Rthulu. Starlight will pulse unevenly, and the shard will tightly hold onto the shardbearer’s chosen shard site. Shardbearers initiating spells or using starlight with Voidal interference must add an additional [1+] emote to all of their spell casts. This additional emote is a stabilising appeal – a short and indirect request to the sway of the kind aengul to stabilize the Shard’s tone. At last, Yeu Rthulu’s followers are her equals, thus do not fear it

Sᴏᴜʟ Cᴜʀꜱᴇ

On the contrary, soul-destroyed forces strike the medium itself. When powers like Naztherak Malflame, Soul-rot, or any other approved soul-damage properties are struck directly at the implantation site of the shard, the astral filaments connecting the bearer with the stabilised Starlight of Yeu Rthulu is violently severed. The shard does not disintegrate but it abruptly cuts the flow from conduit to realm to avoid corruption – Yeu favors containment, not risks or danger. Once a shardbearer is struck in the shard’s site, the shardbearer is forced an exile from their magic for a total of [2] emotes. A shardbearer during this point is unable to connect, cast or maintain any spells. Perhaps this was Yeu’s intervention; withdrawing the resonance to ensure the shard would not corrupt under the damage. With Malflame, the bearer must logically wipe out all the remaining flame and stimulate clearing of the area before attempting to reconnect.
 

Sʜᴀʀᴅ Fʀᴀᴄᴛᴜʀᴇ
Unlike disconnection, any direct shard damage or fracture caused by mundane or blunt armaments or generally a force capable of affecting glass, the shard damage will not sever itself completely. Instead, it disrupts the biological balance the shardbearer’s body had attempted to structure throughout their journey – distorting how starlight flows through the body, assuming its conduit is shattered or fractured. In the event that it is, all [Tier 1] and [Tier 2] spells are fully functional. On the other hand, [Tier 3-5] spells can still be attempted but at a severe cost. If a shardbearer attempts at [Tier 3+] spells with a damaged shard, the shardbearer will suffer:
  » Localized burning sensation in their implantation site.
  » Distorted perception and star-hallucinations
  » Visible starlight burns across the veins on a second-degree level
To repair or restore a shard to its original order, the shard must be surgically removed, replaced with a newly-crafted or repaired shard and re-attuned via the Reborn Star Draw Rite. The broken shard can be held as an artifact but the magic in it ceases and instead reverts to inert glass.

ᴀʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇꜱ
Before any spell is to be casted, an additional [1] emote is required to connect to the aengul in the beginning of every spell, just as most magic traditions do. In the event of any of the voidal hindrances, each spell is amplified by emote count by [1] - [2] emotes required becomes [3] emotes required for stabilization of the shard. You get it.

To connect, a shardbearer must consciously choose to connect to their shard and through it, to Yeu Rthulu’s Realm. Though ideally it should be a quicker variant of the Reborn Star’s Draw Rite, the player is free to free-form this connection and do so as they will, so long as it makes sense and follows the lore. That includes usages of their aura, their chosen colors and shapes, etc. Also, it goes without saying, but whilst a shardbearer is casting but is effectively interrupted by losing focus, is struck or forced way, the bearer must repeat the spell’s cast.

The moment Yeu Rthulu gathered the broken fragments, reforged and bound them to her realm, she allowed for its violent vigilance to fall under a gentler hold. On the contrary to Celestine's once violent whisper and nudging, Yeu opted for a softer method. As a result, shardbearers are typically surprised when they take notice of the shard’s involuntary response to unseen danger.

Mᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Celestine’s Tell is an involuntary response generated by the shard itself when the shardbearer is being targeted by only supernatural or magical properties – such as voidal projectiles, illusions, malflame, generally magics that target you and so on. The shard will produce a physical sensation at the implantation site. The physical effect by the shard can vary depending on the character.

The sensation is to occur simultaneously with the spell being channeled at the shardbearer; it is never early enough to act as a pre-emptive warning. Moreover, it does not specify what the magical property is, what school of magic lore it comes from, whether it is a harmful or beneficiary type of spell, who and how many are casting on you or where it is precisely coming from. Only that, you are in the way. You are not given tactical foresight at all. The shard is merely protective of its user.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★Celestine’s Tell does not trigger from ambient or environmental magic (such as, wards, somebody connecting, external passive effects that aren’t being casted on the bearer, and so on)
★Celestine’s Tell is unable to be activated by mundane attacks: arrows, blades, stones, collapsing builds or traps.
★Celestine’s Tell does not reveal the type of magic, potency, source or alignment of magic. The bearer can’t just assume “Oh yeah, this is definitely voidal magic.”
★This passive does not specify where the attack is coming from, how far away it is, or who is casting it. The shardbearer won’t be able to justify randomly looking at the hidden mage, for instance.
★ Alike, this does not interact with potions, poisons or already lingered curses in the area. It merely responds to newly applied, targeted magical casting.
★Cannot be used to justify ignoring surprise attacks, ambushes or being attacked from behind unknowingly. The shard only warns you that you’re in harm’s way. The only exception to this is, of course, if any external circumstances alert you of the danger – such as a fellow friend spotting them and calling it out, or they declare their evil/good in speech, etc.
★ The magic does not need to be evil to activate this passive. Thus, this can be utilized in both out-of-combat and in-combat.

No, instead she preserved it so her equally-perceived followers did not shatter in fright’s surprise. Where others might seize up or tremble with pure shock, bearers are imbued with resilience.

Mᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Rthulu’s Breath regulates the physical response of a shardbearer’s body to an unexpected shock, fear or emotional disturbance. For instance, in an event the shardbearer is helpless, in pain, or adrenaline surge; their muscles are capable of resisting involuntary muscle seizure, an involuntary complete shake of the body the way it would in a huge panic. Their hands are less likely to lock up, and so forth.

However, this influence from Yeu does not dilute fear, trauma or emotion. Those are still experienced by the shardbearer fully, though merely averting drastic involuntary bodily breakdown, like the flinch of the hands, freezing up in place, not being able to move in shock and so on. The bearer resists, and is thus granted resilience against psychological effects such as. This passive does not lessen pain, terror, magical spells, trauma, fear and the likes. Assuming another magic source contradicts this passive and instead targets the shardbearer’s psychological facilities; Rthulu’s Breath will not take precedence over it. The shard is still subject to stronger enforced effects.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

As most magic traditions, the first step to a spell is by connecting. The second emote is defined as tracing, provided this spell involves the physical act of pressing the bearer’s finger along a solid, immobile non-living surface within arm’s reach. Once in contact, starlight will intensify and the bearer is granted the option of drawing small constellations, stars, short lines, arrows, curves and anything that constitutes as simple non-complex shapes.

These markings are intended to emit a strong glow, not enough to blind or any of the likes, and is easily visible in darkness. On the contrary, it is completely invisible during the daylight. These drawn shapes should last as long as the bearer wishes provided the scenario or context is centered around a personal roleplay-space, and not in public or nations. If this spell is used in an event, nation not belonging to theirs, in public terrain and the likes, the starlight will fade the moment the shardbearer steps away from it.

Once the shardbearer is connected, they must directly and physically hold onto the chosen object. Whilst holding onto the said-object, the shardbearer will preserve a specific detail of the object. For instance: colour, engraving, emblems, stitching patterns, the sound it produces, scent and so on – varying from the type of object it is. This spell does not reinforce the durability of an item, but only that specific piece so long the object lives on.

If the object is damaged, burned or broken for instance, the selected detail, so long as it is not destroyed fully, will still remain visible as though it was never touched. An example of this would be: if a blade with an emblem began to rust, the protected emblem through this spell would not rust either and would instead remain crystal clear. This seal only ends if the object is completely annihilated.

Additionally, a shardbearer must maintain no more than two active seals at the same time. Creating a third seal will automatically cause the oldest one to let go of its seal, and thus will begin to rapidly dissipate to make up for the frozen time.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ This spell should not provide any combative benefits, no durability buffs to the object’s entirety either.

★ If the whole object somehow gets destroyed fully (ash, total unmaking, dust), the seal ends. It only preserves identity that is still alive.
★ A shardbearer can cast Starbound Seal for other people, though still following the two active seals rule. Perhaps, one seal for you and a seal for a best friend. Make it count!

Once the shardbearer is connected and begins shaping, starlight will flow outwardly to sketch against the intended perimeter on the ground of the dome. Once the shape is constructed, the shardbearer finalized the structure with a hard thud to the ground; a dome is fully formed, a stationary hemispherical shelter zone with a covering-radius of [8] blocks, centered on a visible point within [3] blocks from the caster’s position. The dome is drawn with the shardbearer’s colors, and is effectively translucent from inside and out.

This shelter merely dissuades environmental weather such as: rain, snow, wind, extreme temperatures and the likes. Once individuals sit in the dome, rain softens to just mist, snow revolves around the dome, winds only to breezes, and extreme temperatures shift one stage towards a lesser temperature.

The dome continues to exist so long the Shardbearer remains three blocks from it and maintains a sufficient-leveled concentration to it. Individuals can come and go from the dome, as well. If the shardbearer is put into a combative atmosphere, performs strenuous actions, casts another spell or intentionally displaces the dome. The dome immediately collapses.

Once the shardbearer is connected, a shardbearer manifests a thin starlight filament that can extend up to 6 blocks to grasp onto lightweighted objects, objects a singular hand may be able to carry on average, no bigger than a book.

The filament moves towards the object to cling to it, potentially either lifting it to hand height, rotating it around, or across a surface. The effects elapses the moment the shardbearer is distracted or holds no will to flex their starlight-bound object or tool.

It cannot exert force, bypass resistance or move anything pinned held or actively being resisted by another object or person.

Once the shardbearer is connected, starlight begins to flower across the shardbearer’s palm in the line of the wound they intend to treat. Thereafter, the shardbearer’s starlight radiates an outward light source, assuming the role of a reliever to the wound. For instance: fresh bleeding becomes tension, breathing will stabilize, and pain or fear-related shaking will decrease. Once and only when the patient is relieved, the starlight will proceed to seep into the wound. Patients will feel an incredibly painful burning sensation provided the light in their wound’s location, as though the light is picking them apart.
 

Small cuts, scrapes, light lacerations, small bruises, and shallow burns can heal completely, leaving painful but stable tissue that continues to hurt realistically. Not serious, still non-fatal blows which are deeper gashes, shallow punctures, and rough bruises are partially knitted: the edges are brought together, the bleeding is reduced to a crawl or stops, and the wound is made tidy and stable, but obviously not gone. The target is hurt, fatigued and not by any means in condition to just go back into the battle on full throttle if that is their current circumstance.

 

However, Starhearth Mending has no ability to heal mortal or organ-destroying trauma, broken chests, broken off extremities, broken spines, brain damage, or heavy internal bleeding. It is indifferent to poison, disease, curses, malflame, voidal corruption, necromantic rot, and the likes.

To cast this spell, the shardbearer must be [1] block from the patient, a clear view of the wound and is capable of only treating a singular wound per casting.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ This spell can be used amidst combative scenarios if the circumstances align. fighting shape; however provided the limitations of this spell’s healing capabilities, healed characters may still be unfit to fight depending on their circumstances.

★ Cannot heal, purge, or suppress magical injuries, malflame, voidal poisoning, necromantic rot, so forth.

★ Does not grant pain immunity; it only takes the sharp edge off fresh pain and shock with the [3rd] emote, but it is still followed up, typically, with excessive burning sensation unless a herb is used to numb the pain.

★ Cannot be used repeatedly to slowly “cheat death” on someone who should realistically die from their injuries. 

★ Cannot be used on self and another at the same time; only one target per cast.
★ You can, however, use it on yourself as well.

This spell inherently is intended to assist the wounded, particularly those who are unable to walk without stumbling, falling and the likes. Once the shardbearer is connected, starlight is seen to gather at their hand, shaping into the appropriate instrument before spilling downwards to encircle the shardbearer’s ally or friend’s knees, back or ankles. On the second, these freshly-made crescents of starlight apply the weight necessary to support the individual’s stabilization in walking without constantly faltering.

For a total of [10] emotes, the affected ally may walk at a slow pace without their weakened body collapsing due to which a series of injuries is directly responsible for the instability in mobility. Kavenjun’s Shepharding corrects minor wobbles, stops knees from buckling, and at the very least smoothen the steps in which an injured individual may be able to withdraw from danger or into a healer’s house.

However, this spell does not in actuality repair or eliminate structural damage. Broken bones will remain broken, torn muscles still torn; the injured still feels the pain in every step no matter, though the shardbearer had merely made it that it is less likely for them to crumple under their own weight.

If the injured attempts to sprint, fight, jump or engage in acrobatics in any way, this spell dissipates immediately. Moreover, the spell also ends if the injured somehow falls or is knocked unconscious.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ However, this spell can certainly be utilized to drag an injured person from a combative scenario and out, assuming you are in the same one. Good luck not getting jumped.

At [Tier 4], the Shardbearer learns to expand on the art of Starbound Seal [T2] to a more personal spell, effectively transforming a variation called ‘Shared Seal’. This variation allows the shardbearer to seal a memory and an emotion behind it, an object belonging to another individual through momentary emotional connection.

Mᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Once the shardbearer is connected as per usual, the shardbearer is capable of helping a friend, a random or an ally by preserving a chosen memory into an object. Thus, this spell and upon its finalization not only manifests a meaningful memory related to the said-individual but allows the emotion behind the memory’s backbone to glide.

Assuming finalization is reached, once the owner, and only the owner, carries the object, they may recall the memory in great recollection, in its preserved state – devoid of schemas and misrepresentation, whether it be a song, a voice of a loved one, etc. After performing Shared Seal, the shardbearer will experience minor starlight feedback: slight breathlessness, and a surge of an emotion akin to the chosen emotion.

Shared Seal may be performed once per 6 hours.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ This spell requires explicit OOC consent from the object’s owner or at least an IC request to seal a memory into an object.
★ No memory reading, no insight, no thoughts. The shardbearer only perceives the memory as the chosen emotion. For instance, if the owner is willing to embed a memory of their loved one singing happily, the shardbearer will only perceive happiness – holding no clue to what the memory is.
★ Once the Shared Seal is created for another person, only that person can feel and recall the memory of the object. It is a personalized object. Other people may only feel the emotion behind the object, if the owner wills it to.
★ Shared Seals have no active limits, and many can be kept active so long it does not exceed in spam.
★ Once a Shared Seal is made, the shardbearer is unable to cast this spell for another [6] hours.
★ Though no shardbearer is capable of seeing them memory itself. In any case a player attempts to put flavor, ensuring avoiding metagaming. Perceived faces in the memory are effectively blurred or only given an approximation of how they look, but never ultimately or perfectly.

The walls of Kavenjun screamed in only the amusement it strived under the restrengthening of the shard joining its pillars. Among the gifts, a shardbearer holds the ability to stall harm without becoming the harm. Astral Lattice is a fragile constellation-mesh derived from a bearer’s starlight.

Mᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Once the shardbearer connects, it is assumed starlight begins to coalesce from the shardbearer's shard location site to shape and create the shape of the mesh needed to form the astral lattice. Once finalized, its appearance seems to be a translucent constellation-like planar mesh for a shield.

Astral Lattice can only be employed to shield and/or guard an ally or a cluster of allies within [2] blocks of one another. All intended targets should be within the shardbearer’s line of sight, approximately [8] blocks in distance. Astral Lattice does not manifest on the shardbearer at all.

To shield a singular ally, the lattice is formed in a [2] block wide by [2] block tall positioned directly in front of the guarded target. Not behind them, not to the side nor over them. To shield a cluster of allies within [2] blocks of one another, the lattice is instead formed in a [3] block wide by [3] block tall frame also positioned directly in front of the guarded allies. Same rules apply.

The lattice is maintained so long two emotes have passed devoid of harm or one instance of harm has hit the lattice:
              - When attacked by a descendant-level force; swords, crossbows, bows, punches, kicks, standard magical projectile with no impact force, so on… the lattice completely encapsulates the blow before disintegrating into the aftermath of starlight motes, effectively negating the hit.
                - However, when affected by stronger force; huge mounts, warhammers, magic projectiles with impact force, monsters, olog-class attack… the lattice still breaks, but the damage caused to those behind the shield drops by one level of severity. Severe becomes lethal, severe becomes moderate.

Once Astral Lattice is used or shattered, the bearer is unable to cast it again within the next [4] emotes.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ This spell can’t defend the caster; it only works on others.
★ Allies protected must be within [2] blocks of each other if shielding multiple targets.

★ Must have full line of sight and valid space to form; blind, obstructed, or clipped casting is not allowed.

★ The Lattice cannot block siege weapons, collapsing structures, falling trees, or similarly overwhelming forces. At best, depending on the severity of the weaponry, the level of damage drops by one. 

★ Cannot reflect or redirect projectiles. This spell only absorbs the hit once.

★ Cannot be stacked, chained, overlapped, or “tiled” to create long walls.

★ Astral Lattice does not impede movement; enemies can walk through it without slowing down.

★ Cannot be moved, reshaped, or rotated once placed.

★ Astral Lattice can only block magics if they deal no force impact when it lands, like knocking somebody back for instance. 

★ Cannot be used for scouting, cover-peeking, or line-of-sight breaks. The constellation-mesh is translucent. 

★ Strictly defensive and must have an explicit ally target(s); no “pre-placed” battlefield setups.

The Aengul of Compassion and Kindness. Violence never was treated lightly, a lesson she knew on the contrary to the Celestine’s cruelty. Her starlight does not harm, but it can misalign. A shardbearer is capable of interrupting a foe’s stance with the introduction of a subtle dissonance.

Once the shardbearer connects, the shardbearer is capable of manifesting a condensed sphere made of starlight in the warmth of their palm, following up with chucking the sphere towards a foe within [10] blocks. In the hopes that the sphere lands, it attaches to the target.

Once attached, the mark lasts for [2] emotes. Whilst marked, the target is bound to experience both mild spatial and muscular misalignment; more precisely, their balance and weight will feel fractionally offset – as if gravity itself were toying with them. This spell may also interrupt foe casting.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ This spell is incapable of inherently knocking down, staggering violently, or move the target. Though, the target is free to do so if they see it narratively fit.

★ Cannot induce dizziness, nausea, vertigo, blurred vision, or sensory impairment.

★ This spell automatically, if landed, interrupts spell-castings, just as any mundane means of interrupting focus.

★ Cannot target multiple foes at once.

★ Cannot be stacked on the same target; applying a new Mark before the old expires does nothing.

★ Cannot mark through walls, cover, smoke, or obstructions; line of sight is mandatory.

★ Provides no tracking, detection, or lingering awareness after it fades.

★ Cannot impose its effect on non-sapient monsters or massive creatures whose physiology would not meaningfully    “misalign.”
★ This spell is certainly dodgeable as most magical projectiles, just depending on the circumstances. Be good faith!

[T3] Astral Armament - [Combative]

You must preserve it! A shardbearer might manipulate their starlight to condense into a temporary shield to stand between life and death. This spell only forges temporary celestial constructs: two different shields with variants.

Once the shardbearer is connected, they may manifest either the Astral Bastion or the Astral Crescent by rushing their starlight into the ground or forming it around their own forearm. Only one of these forms can be manifested. Both forms last up to [3] emotes or until used, broken, or dismissed.

𝟣) Aꜱᴛʀᴀʟ ʙᴀꜱᴛɪᴏɴ - Sʜɪᴇʟᴅꜰᴏʀᴍ:
A vertical slab of starlight will ascend from the ground – [2] blocks tall and [1] wide to directly shield the shardbearer from the front. It can only manifest in stable ground, and the bearer must remain [1-2] blocks in proximity to the shield behind it, otherwise dismissing it provided it is a standing, stationary-only shield. Additionally, the shield may support an ally behind the shardbearer.

This variation’s shield function intercepts one incoming attack.
»  Against standard descendent-level attacks, the shield will absorb the impact fully before shortly after shattering; only knocking the shardbearer back by [3] blocks, which may or may not collide with the ally behind, if there is one.

»  Against heavier-force attacks, it still breaks but the shardbearer is effectively damaged – though similarly to Astral Lattice, the severity level drops by one, potentially staggering the shardbearer and knocking the ally by [2] blocks. 

»  Astral Bastion’s primary function stems from its ability at blocking particularly magical projectiles. If struck by a single magic projectile, it negates the damage before shattering once more.

𝟤) Aꜱᴛʀᴀʟ Crescent- Hᴇʟᴅꜰᴏʀᴍ:
This concept is much simpler in truth. Once manifested, this shield binds to the shardbearer’s forearm and moves with the bearer in normal walking pace as per CRP rules, but they cannot sprint. This time, this shield is only capable of shielding the shardbearer and nobody else. Additionally, this variation is more unique because it provided the shardbearer the opportunity of wielding a weapon whilst this variation is active; a one-handed sword and the Astral Crescent, for instance.

This variation’s shield function also intercepts one incoming attack.
» If the shield collides with a melee or a mundane projectile attack, it will effectively mitigate the strike’s impact directionally before shattering.
» Against heavy-force melee or projectiles, it instantly shatters and reduces the impact’s severity by one level.
» This shield variation is utterly useless against magical attacks. Attempting to guard the likes of magical projectiles like malflame, voidal excavation and so forth will shatter the shield, thereby registering the magic attack’s full intended severity.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ Only one form may be active per Shardbearer.

★ Constructs cannot be hidden under cloth or armor. The shields are open to line of sight.

[T𝟦] Eʟʏᴏɴ’ꜱ Sᴜʀɢᴇ - [Combative]

Just for a split second, the remnants of Elyon, The Sword of The Stars’s subtle agitation manifests around the shard in a fit of desperation. A shardbearer is capable of compressing their breath into their shard, releasing an outward burst to produce a shockwave-like effect.

Mᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Once the shardbearer is connected and reaches finalization, all characters nearby (no matter if foes or allies) within [5] blocks of the shardbearer are shoved back at least [3] blocks in the line of effect, effectively throwing each involved individual off balance, perhaps tripping depending on circumstance. Targets braced before the 4th emote, shielded or evidently grounded prior to the cast only slide [2] blocks backwards. Noteworthy, the push is only horizontal and does not fling individual skywards.

Additionally, any spells or abilities being formerly and actively channeled within the radius of the starlight shockwaves is disrupted. However, actions already resolved; such as arrows already shot, blades already swung, etc are unaffected. The shockwave does not produce results through walls, doors, and generally solid obstacles. Say, an individual is pressed into a wall as a result, they stop at that and simply take the shove.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ The shockwave is not powerful enough to direct damage: no broken bones, internal trauma, or lethal concussive injury.

★ In good faith, the shockwave is designed to severely destabilize somebody’s balance; falling depends on the characters and circumstances.
★ This spell can be used to cause environmental deaths (cliffs, lava, rooftops) if circumstances aligns, logically speaking. However, do not force it. Prioritize communication with the other party for an agreement.
★ Cannot topple siege engines, wagons, structures, or anything heavier than a person or mount.

★ Cannot selectively ignore allies, everyone in range and line of effect is pushed alike.

★ Cannot pass through solid walls, floors, or ceilings; requires open air.

★ Cannot be “charged longer” for more power; the effect is fixed at [4] emotes.
★ Be sure to read over the functions.
★ Shockwaves will not redirect or reflect projectiles and general attacks.

[T𝟧] Hᴀʀᴍᴏɴɪᴄ Oʀʙɪᴛ - [Combative]

The shardbearer entertains the very same chess match the deities once played on, this time with an advantage. A shardbearer is capable of using their starlight to sketch star-lines around their chosen foe’s weapon, mapping out two forced pathways of oncoming strikes.

Harmonic Orbit requires [4] emotes to manifest.

Once the shardbearer connects, Harmonic Orbit needs to follow up with two precise emotes. The shardbearer is expected to focus their starlight, sending vines of them towards the targeted individual within [8] blocks and an uninterrupted line of sight, attempting to compel their arms. Following up, the shardbearer proceeds to sketch the first arc in the air. On the third emote, thin starlit lines reach out, and circle the striking limb of the target – practically seeping through, then tracing in the air a secondary physically viable attack arc: those are not limited to, overhead slash, lateral sweep, forward thrust, etc. This must be all vividly reflected by the shardbearer as part of the cast.

For further clarification, once finalization is reached, the target’s next two melee attacks (weapon or unarmed)  must reasonably follow one of the two pre-drawn arcs sketched by the shardbearer. The spell does not force the target to attack at all; it only defines the only two possible ways of which this person is meant to attack. However, if the target commits to a melee attack, that strike’s path is constrained to either of the two visible trajectories sketched out by the shardbearer.

Only shardbearers within the area are able to view the two starlight arcs; defenders would likely treat these attacks as pre-telegraphed, just unsure if the attacker would follow the first or the second. They know an attack is coming from either the first line (for instance, a thrust upwards) or from the second line (for instance, a slash to the left).

If the target chooses not to pursue any melee attacks, the effect ends on its own after [3] emotes have passed from the target. Once Harmonic Orbit ends, it cannot be casted on the same person, and also goes on cooldown for [6] emotes of the shardbearer.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ This spell does not restrain, slow, weaken, or paralyse the target in any way.

★ Also, this spell does not alter damage, weapon weight, or the target’s physical strength.

★ Cannot force the target to swing; it only constrains the path of swings they choose to make.

★ Affects melee attacks only; ranged attacks, spells, thrown weapons, and AoEs are unaffected.

★ Arcs must be physically plausible, sooo… no impossible mid-swing bends, 90° turns, or contortions beyond normal weapon handling.

★ Cannot be used to retroactively invalidate a hit if the defender chooses not to react or remains within an obvious strike path.

★ The shard does not allow stacking, even with another shardbearer’s Harmonic Orbit on the same target. Once it has been cast once, no more for that specific person. 

★ If line of sight is broken at any point before the third emote completes, the spell fails with no effect.

★ No mind control, no forced friendly fire, no influence over target intentions. This is purely a predictive constraint.
★ The shardbearer may be compelling the arms, but it is not compulsion to do whatever the bearer wants. The compulsion is simply to either strike like the first arc, or the second arc. From there, defenders must predict from the two possible attacks.

[T𝟧] Cᴏɴꜱᴛᴇʟʟᴀʀ Cʜᴀɪɴ - [Combative]
Sᴛᴀʀʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ Cᴏᴜɴᴛ: 2
Not one should suffer consequences for their misdeeds, but for continuity, two must serve under the same sentence. A shardbearer is capable of forming starlit threads to tie onto two different individuals, forcing the two to share mirrored cost.

Mᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Constellar Chain requires [4] emotes to manifest.

Once the shardbearer is connected and begins the casting process, a shardbearer must choose two living individuals within an [8] block range from themselves and at least [6] blocks within the two individuals; line of sight rule is still a must. Once a shardbearer links two individuals in a constellar chain. Not only, but foes, allies and the shardbearer themselves may be bound by a constellar chain. For instance, bearer to an ally, or an ally to a foe, or a foe to a foe. The effects are as follows:

For the next [2] emotes belonging to the link pair, the moment any of the two connected targets are struck a non-fatal physical blow, the other one will receive a milder version of the impact at about half the severity. For instance, a deep stab onto the shoulder on the first linked target will force a painful shallow cut or heavy bruise on the second linked target.

Additional examples would argue that a second-degree burn on the first linked target will come out in the form of a first-degree burn on the second linked target; a broken bone on the first may come out in the form of severe sprain, or severe bruising in the same place of the second individual. The secondary wound is never comparable or worse than the primary one, nor is it immediately paralyzing.

Only the first [2] qualifying hurts on each target would reverberate onto the other. After [2] echoes of injury or wounds, the spell’s effect halts and does not create additional reverberations of pain. Once Constellar Chain has resolved (whether by echoing or timing out), it cannot be recast at all for the remainder of that combat encounter.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

Spoiler

★ Can never duplicate fatal or kill-worthy lethal harm. If an individual under this spell’s effect somehow gets killed, the spell breaks the link with no echo to the other. 

★ This spell does not bypass armor. For instance, if a wound is fully negated by armour or a shield, there is no wound to reverberate or project. 

★ Only two non-fatal wounds per target within the window may echo; subsequent strikes during the duration have no shared effect.

★ Cannot echo poisons, diseases, curses, mind-control, fear effects, or long-term affliction. This spell only includes direct physical trauma, like cuts and slashes, etc.

★ This spell does not affect non-living constructs, golems, or undead unless their lore explicitly permits deific physical effects. Starlight is still holy deific-mana.

★ Cannot link more than two targets, and no target may be under more than one Constellar Chain at a time.

★ Self-harm cannot be used to “cheese” a kill. It can certainly be used for non-fatal circumstances.

★ If either target moves beyond [10] blocks from the shardbearer or behind full solid cover during the effect window, the Chain shatters immediately.

★ The rings are visible and cannot be hidden; all nearby can see that the two are linked.

An older tradition than its re-forging.

Before the Celestine had dropped to its death, its shards continued to shine in the hands of its shardbearers, a premeditated exactitude applied to each of its efforts. Not every shard was bestowed in a fixed place; instead numerous options took the throne, and each ‘seats’ on the body represented a dissimilar temper to dissimilar manners – a different way the Celestine initially held the hands of his defenders. These seats were not ranks, nor were they inflexible castes, rather the reverberations of ancient science bred on the blood-throughing battlefields, more particularly when the shardbearers marched against Potestas’s chosens.

Only three placements have made it to the present era, respectively delegated by Yeu Rthulu, the Aengul of Compassion and Contentment. Modern shardbearers are given the will and freedom to choose where their chosen shard is placed, each holding a different tale to tell and potential mentality narrations. All these seats do not limit spellcasting, but instead adding [1] additional spell – a perhaps more violent spell in recollection to the distorted schema of what once used to be Elyon, the Sword of the Stars.

 

Fᴏʀᴇʜᴇᴀᴅ ꜱᴇᴀᴛ - Tʜᴇ Eʏᴇ ᴏꜰ Pʀᴇꜱᴇʀᴠᴀᴛɪᴏɴ The Forehead Seat was of one whose fee was instant saving, sometimes without a second thought. They were typically among the guarding of refugees, or those who risked themselves to pull their comrades out of harm’s way. Somewhere in Kavenjun, the original followers of Yeu Rthulu attempted with reconstructed memory to draw and visualize ancient imagery of these shardbearers – the foreheaded ones. These images have shown shardbearers of this seat running through falling palisades, falling upon the wounded, allowing their bodies a shield for others. Yeu had the greatest confidence in them. MENTALITY: » Typically is confronted with the necessity of interposting between peril and other people before they can think; impulsive at times.

 

Wʀɪꜱᴛ Sᴇᴀᴛ - Tʜᴇ Hᴀɴᴅ ᴏꜰ Cᴏɴᴛɪɴᴜɪᴛʏ In older scriptures, the Wrist seat was typically reserved to those that may consider themselves – archivists, strategists even. Such shardbearers were known to be very hesitant, devoid of fear but not devoid of calculation before launching for a strike. The will was now only slightly reinterpreted by Yeu, and most witnesses of the ancient war would argue that shardbearers of this seat always screamed in warnings, in instructions, and the like. Hard truths, usually. To the defense, to meditation, to vigilance with modern wrist shardbearers tend to gravitate more naturally. MENTALITY: » Typically involved: the unresting paranoia of the eye, always squinting at smaller details, and the likes of such behavior.

 

Sᴘɪɴᴀʟ Sᴇᴀᴛ - Tʜᴇ Bᴀᴄᴋʙᴏɴᴇ ᴏꜰ Pʀᴏᴛᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ Down the spine rests the most dreaded shards of the deceased deity, particularly due to those who had not surrendered in battle. These were typically the forefront, the shields stoned in the ground burnt by the legion of Potestes. Their shards shone out of their armor like a spine of starlight, the very same who held the line long after mortality should have killed them. The Celestine was far too cruel to them, driving them to an extremity of a descendant’s measure – a crime that Yeu Rthulu now condemns. Normally these shardbearers are not even made to be warriors or martyrs, MENTALITY: » Hold the feeling of obligation to stand before others to protect them, a last line of defence. This should extend to non-combative and combative scenarios.

 

ᴛʜᴇ ꜰɪʀꜱᴛ ᴀɢᴇ

During the first ancient war, when Elyon, the Sword of the Stars was pushed to his extremes and incinerated under the burden of a deity’s compulsion, Yeu Rthulu came to learn what happens when the process of preservation is substituted for compulsion. LAST STAND STATES are the chagrined replica of that failure. Assuming a shardbearer has reached [Tier 5], once a shardbearer is overwhelmed by rage and desperation, they are offered a single and only one dangerous impulse to enact a restrained mimic of what was once forced upon Elyon. Thus, the shards in their respective implantation sites will begin to recall its ancient history, and what it may have been capable of – briefly fleeing from Yeu’s grasp. The shard does not take hold of the shardbearer, although upon transformation, it will shake and give the descendent the choice to either ACCEPT or DENY the transformation.

These transformations can only be utilized ONCE per combative scenario, and will need to endure a series of drawbacks thereafter. In the event of a shardbearer attempting to restrain or resist their anger’s compulsion, they will have to dedicate [2] emotes to stop themselves from transforming.

These tastes are far from casual forms, nor are they typically openers, style choices or free-given power spikes. They are high-cost surges wrapped around an act of impulse and defiance to the realm, thereby leaving the shardbearer shaken and sickened once the transformation wears off.

ᴀᴇꜱᴛʜᴇᴛɪᴄꜱ:
Upon transformation, depending on your seat preference, aesthetic visuals will entertain the transformation. These help depict what physical traits Elyon held when compelled, and do not hold any mechanical combative capabilities or advantages. From the following listed flavors, a shardbearer must pick [1] trait to adopt for their transformation, exclusively to their chosen seat before attunement.

If accepted, this transformation takes [4] emotes to manifest.
» [1] Emotional Rupture: The shardbearer’s rage begins to heighten, and their shard begins to throb in pain. Words are sharper, breaths hollower, etc.
» [2] Ancient Starlight: Starlight will begin to leak uncontrollably, forming the shardbearer’s chosen aesthetic trait from their specific seat choice. They are yet not formed, and are still in the shaping stage.
» [3] Form of the Seat: The aesthetic traits are now visible, fully shaped and are pressed onto the person, thereby reflecting their chosen seat. Purely visual, remember.
» [4] Declaration: The shardbearer seals the state, and must declare a vow. Be as dramatic as you would like.

After complete transformation, the shardbearer still has access to their spell core repertory list. To that, the transformation grants them an additional [Tier 5] last-stand spell that is only exclusive to their seat. Besides that, the transformation does not grant them any resistances, anti-magic, no free dodges, etc. Only [+1] additional spell, each exclusive to a seat.

Last-Stand spells can only be cast once per state activation. Whether it hits the intended target or misses, it cannot be used again in the same encounter. However, as long as the shardbearer is conscious, the intensive emotion rage will continue.

DRAWBACKS:
A shardbearer’s last stand state ceases the moment the shardbearer is unconscious, rendered incapacitated or when an encounter ends. Once it does elapse, and though the shardbearer is not intended to feel all of those at once, they may feel some as per the player’s choice, the shardbearer will suffer post-state backlash from some afflictions of the following list: nausea, shaking, headaches, bone-deep aches, feverish chills, dizziness, trembling, shortness of breath, ringing in the ear, and so forth. A direct restraining from Yeu’s reforged star bursted into backlash. The exact manifestation is up to the player, though it must be clear their body is spent.

Additionally, shardbearers are immediately put on a [24] OOC Cooldown once a state elapses. They ought to seek  rest, to be treated and healed.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

★ Last-Stand States are not casual toggles; they may only be used in dire, high-stake situations consistent with the magic’s origins and requirements.
★ The full four-emote transformation is mandatory; States cannot be instant, compressed, or assumed off-screen.
★ A last stand state can be interrupted whilst casting, however the shardbearer can attempt once more. If interrupted again, the state is unable to be accessed anymore and is put on a cooldown.
★ Only one Last-Stand State may be entered per combat/event encounter.
★ A State does not remove access to normal spells; it simply adds one Seat-specific, single-use T5 spell.
★ States confer no numerical or implied buffs: no extra speed, no added strength, no passive defenses, etc
★ State visuals are obvious and cannot be fully hidden beneath armour, clothing, or illusions.
★ Entering a State does not interrupt, override, or freeze anyone else’s actions.
★ States cannot be activated purely for intimidation, ceremony, or performance; they must answer present crisis or danger.

★ Post-State sickness and fatigue must be roleplayed; acting entirely unaffected is powergaming. Be faithful, please.
★ The same character may not enter any Last-Stand State again for 24 OOC hours after one has ended.

Sᴘᴇʟʟꜱ:
[T5] Unbroken Lance - [Continuity - Wrist Seat]

Unbroken Lance required [4] emotes to manifest.

A lance only travels in a straight line, up to [10] blocks. When the lance draws a blow against unarmoured flesh or covered with cloth, it blows like a heavy lance, and the point of the lance makes a deep wound at the targeted site and leaves the trail of the wound burning fiercely with excruciating pain. At the contact point, cloth catches fire and the target must reasonably seek to stifle or put out the flames in [1] emote, otherwise, after [3] emotes with no effort to extinguish the fire, the area exposed will turn into serious, prolonged burns. On light armour like leather, mail or thin plates, the lance impales the armor, causing second degree burns on the underside and a powerful impact of blunt force which can reasonably cause the target to step back. On heavy armor, the lance merely dents the armor and instead detonates on contact, only sending first-degree burns through gaps, if any and if the circumstance wills it and a jarring push-force to the heavy armor.

If the lance misses and strikes terrain –  wall, stone, floor, tree and the likes – it explodes in a burst. Individuals in about a [3] block range from the explosion who are either unarmoured or lightly armoured and have a direct line of sight to the point of impact are affected by first-degree burns on exposed skin. Otherwise, nada. Heavily armored individuals are simply spared. If the lance does not hit anything and keeps flying, it simply dissipates into motes.

In all cases, the shardbearer’s throwing arm will experience severe starlight burning; veins colored in their aura and their arm completely reddened. Provided that, the shardbearer’s arm is effectively rendered useless until  healed.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

Spoiler

★ This lance can only be cast while in Continuity-State and only once per State / encounter.
★ The lance travels in a straight line up to [10] blocks; it cannot bend, home, or ignore cover and obstacles.
★ The spell does not auto-hit; targets may reasonably dodge, block, or shield if emoted in time or if circumstances fit.
★ Damage must reasonably stay within written bounds: no instant dismemberment, vaporisation, or treating armour as nonexistent. Make sure to follow the mechanics, pls.
★ Burn severity must follow armour/exposure in the mechanics; it cannot be arbitrarily escalated.
★ The terrain-impact burst affects only those within [3] blocks with clear line-of-sight and exposed/poorly protected skin; intact full plate is not cooked through whatsoever.
★The backlash burn to the Shardbearer’s arm must be roleplayed as a meaningful hindrance; ignoring it is powergaming and bad faith.
★ The lance is a single projectile; it cannot be split, chained, widened, or re-summoned until a new State in a later scene.

[T5] Starplate Interpose - [Preservation - Forehead Seat]

ᴍᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Starplate Interpose requires [3] emotes to manifest, an additional [+1] if manifested for an ally.

This spell is either casted on the shardbearer or an ally within [8] blocks of the shardbearer. In either case, upon finalization of this spell, a thick and irregular piece of armored slab manifests over the forearm, chest or shoulder made of starlight. This spell can envelop existing armor provided it is hardened light.

If casted on an ally, once the chosen armor piece is shaped and locked onto the ally, they will feel an alienated sense of weight that they can’t seem to control. Starplate Interpose only remains for [3] emotes, or until is struck by an attack.

When a melee weapon, claw or fist hits the plate squarely, the plate will explode outward in a narrow burst of razor-bright motes that are hurled back along the line of attack. The hitting arm of the attacker gets severe burns and stinging cuts of the surface that are comparable to those of brief contact with hot metal and glass, dissolving even through armor. Even with that, either the shardbearer or the ally wielding the starplate will still experience the fully severity of the attacker’s blow, assuming they make no effort to use external armaments or factors to soften the attack. This retaliation by starlight is only returned to the source of attack and not thrown out in all directions. Following this, the starplate shatters, thereby ending the spell.

When smitten, instead, by an arrow or bolt or magical projectiles, the starplate will flare in an explosive blinding flash lancing back along the direction of the projectile. As long as the ranged attacker is facing the hit, the attacker is blinded because of the flash roughly for [1] emote, impairing their vision (blinking, mis-aim, squinting, the likes). The intended physical/magical projectile or spell still takes place on the starplate wielder with full severity. Nearby allies do not always go blind, the flare is sharply focused back toward the source. Once this occurs, the starplate shatters, thereby ending the spell as well.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

Spoiler

★ May only be cast while in Preservation-State and once per State / encounter.
★ Self-cast requires [3] emotes; ally-cast requires 4 and clear LoS within [8] blocks.
★ The plate grants absolutely ZERO mitigation, or negation; the wearer takes the hit as they logically should, depending on their circumstances, armour, etc.
★ Retaliatory burns and cuts on the attacker are painful but superficial; they do not automatically cripple, disarm unless circumstances allow it to do so.
★Flash-blindness lasts [1] emote and cannot be escalated into permanent or long-term sensory loss.
★ Only one plate may exist at a time; it cannot be split, chained, or duplicated across multiple targets.
★ The plate must be formed before the impact, not whilst it is already being swung down or shot at.
★ Starplate cannot be used to justify auto-parries, guaranteed knock-backs, or auto-interruption of another’s attack.
★ Burns/blindness apply to the attacker, not to arbitrary bystanders; collateral harm beyond that requires communication or something like an OOC agreement between all.

[T5] Elyon’s Challenge  - [Protection - Spinal Seat]

ᴍᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Elyon’s Challenge requires [3] emotes to manifest, an additional [+1] emote if the marked target does not follow through with the duel.

The shard remembers its worst habit here: directing who stands where, and what strikes what. A sigil of starlight harmlessly marks the singular chosen target’s chest or back. Proceeding, starlight will build from the spine to the shardbearer’s foot to embed starlit roots into the ground. Assuming no interruption, a declaration is issued to the intended target. “Potestas, fight me!” The intention has to be clear. The additional fourth emote is a judgement window that watches over the marked foe for [2] emotes.

If, during that window, the marked foe decides to take up the duel and steps further to fight the shardbearer, the roots are effectively unusable. If they opt to instead attack or target somebody else, the starlit roots once embedded into the ground will erupt from the grounds and around the marked foe’s ankles, trapping them in place for [2] emotes. The trapped target is unable to move any blocks, but still can swing, cast, or otherwise do whatever is above the waist. The starlight’s hold will additionally burn along their shins and calves, akin to hot iron; if armor is protecting the area, starlight will begin to squeeze into the armor, inflicting lesser burning pain but still sufficiently distracting. After this spell is held for [2] emotes, the roots retreat into the shardbearer’s spinal shard, ending the spell.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

Spoiler

★  May only be cast while in Protection-State and once per State / encounter.
★  The mark does not compel or control the target; it only establishes a conditional consequence if they ignore the challenge, that being the additional emote for the starlit roots.
★  Rooting lasts [2] emotes and restricts movement only; the target may still act freely above the waist.
★ The spell does not negate, delay, or dampen any attack; whatever they choose to do still occurs at full intended severity, that is if they are capable.
★ The follow-up stagger/off-balance must be roleplayed since they are burning at the ankles, but cannot be escalated into auto-knockdown or forced disarm without mutual consent.
★  Only a single target may be marked per cast; attempting to “challenge” multiple foes with one use is disallowed. You are not him.
★  Sigil and creeping light are obvious and visible to onlookers; they cannot be hidden or treated as subtle.
★ This spell is a distorted visual of the Celestine’s former compulsion; using it to force “you must attack me” outcomes or override another player’s agency is bad faith. Allow players to do what they will.

In honor of Yeu Rthulu and her realm of Kavenjun, where death and plague and malice do not take hold, [Tier 5] Shardbearers can join together to create collaboratively a singular ritual conductor – something their shards cannot do due to the sheer burns it would cause them: a snow staff.

SNOW STAFF:
Moving on, [3] shardbearers must reunite in order to create the snow staff. They start off by manifesting and seeping their starlight into a freshly made shard; a shard created the very same way it would be before attunement. This shard is an independent channel, fed by their conjoint starlight and is not a secondary shard for any shardbearer. After the formation, empowerment, it can be carved into a singular staff.

The inlaid Shard is now an anchor to Yeu Rthulu's Kavenjun.
The ritual’s actions are intended to be freeform, so long players can attribute it back to the Yeu's realm. 

This staff does not impart any extra spellcasting or extra mana to any bearer; each Shardbearer keeps to their own implanted Celestial Shard and cannot take the fragment of the staff to be their second source of deific mana. Only after the staff is created, the three shardbearers must decide who wields it (or share it via RP arrangement). It is purely a communal tool and is only employed during rituals,  not as a combat focus. Provided that, shardbearers do not experience or build up Starburden using the staff, provided the starlight would logically conduit the staff’s material itself.

SHARD RITUALS:
To cast a ritual, a Shardbearer must build a Snow-Basin Altar, made in a snowy or otherwise cold environment. Fresh snow would be taken into a bowl and placed on the plain, built a stable altar stabilised by a simple light source like a lantern or candle. There, in the presence of the other Shardbearers, or at least those who are recognised, they sing and invest into the basin their Starlight, to remind the snow of the stillness of Kavenjun and the relevance of snow to Yeu Rhtulu. Of course, to bring it in some degree into the calmed nature of that realm as well. This transient, emblematic resonance does not imbue Kavenjun to its full extent, instead only siphoning a handful of the realm’s many capabilities and gifts. Once the snow is empowered, it permits the snow to be drained into the staff's shard like fixed liquid. Once this is complete, the staff is naturally enabled to be a conductor of the listed rituals:

Using the staff, a shardbearer is capable of illuminating a radius zone or a singular object of their choosing to ward off corruption and what may be classified as corruption, decay and the likes.

ᴍᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Constellant Alter requires [5] emotes to manifest.

To start off,  the shardbearer reaches or touches the selected object or patch of ground within [2] blocks away from the shardbearer with the snow staff, forcing the conjoined starlight to seep and shape into a concentrated central focal point. 

Once a constellation map is sketched into the air – typically points and lines alone above the central point – the pattern is sunk to a slow depth, until every star point corresponds with corners and seams of the chosen area or the chosen object. Proceeding, the constellation folds itself up and disappears, leaving a sparkling halo or circle of sparkle that is able to be resized into the desired area-radius. 

Each cast may ward one of the following:
» A singular object (a chest, gravestone, statue, bookshelf, shrine, small memorial, a tree, etc).
» A fixed patch of terrain up to a [20] block radius. 

Within the defined scope of either, the Alter serves as a kind of environmental ward to rival incoming corruption. Decay, blight, ambient necrotic leak, or anything generally capable of corrupting. The preserved land, if corruption were to be attempted, would effectively be suppressed; effects cannot naturally develop into the zone over the span of the ward. It does not so act retroactively, and cleanse that which has already been corrupted; former harm exists, but the corruption is no longer continued or spread as long as the Alter exists.

Each altar can persist up for [1] OOC week, or until the caster deliberately dispels it or the preserved ground is significantly disturbed via mundane means. The altar itself is unbreakable, though can be unwarded if the ground they preserved were dramatically tempered with. A shardbearer may be able to maintain up to [3] active alters at once; creating a fourth would force the oldest altar to dissipate.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

Spoiler

★ Provides no physical protection: cannot block weapons, impacts, collapse, or mundane destruction.
★ Cannot obstruct or slow movement; descendants and otherwise are able pass freely through the area.
★ Cannot selectively ward “against X race or Y individual”; it is environmental only.
★ Cannot fully cleanse land already rendered utterly void-torn, necrotic and so on; it only halts further spread and future spread.
★ Cannot be moved, carried, or shifted; tempering with the land will end the Alter.
★  Overlapping Alters in the same space do not stack for stronger effect; they are treated as one ward.

[T𝟧] Sᴛᴀʀᴡᴏᴠᴇɴ Rᴇᴍɪꜱꜱɪᴏɴ  - [Rɪᴛᴜᴀʟ]
In remembering Kavenjun, comes a blessing rare only to a select few among the world. A shardbearer with the usage of a staff is capable of suppressing and erasing magical afflictions from patients, effectively healing them and ridding of their magically afflicted scars.

ᴍᴇᴄʜᴀɴɪᴄꜱ:

Once the shardbearer rechannels starlight back into their respective snow staff, constellation-threads are mapped over the patient’s magical affliction using the staff. Proceeding, the starlight tightens and begins drawing the corruption outwardly, lifting it as distorted light from body and soul and into the staff itself. The patient will feel severe burns going through their body provided the starlight’s construction work, though it only lasts for [2] emote. Afterwards, the provided affliction is consumed into the shard engraved into the staff’s hold. A snow staff is capable of only consuming an affliction up to [3] times, and once the limit is reached, the shard engraved into the staff shatters – ultimately breaking the ritual conductor, the snow staff, and killing the afflictions with it.

To proceed with this ritual, the afflicted must be present, conscious, and willing to receive the treatment. The ritual cannot be performed during combat.

A shardbearer is capable of fully healing both minor and major magical ailments; such as, curses, malflame influence, spirit-burn and whichever may apply or constitute as magical soul-damaging. However, severe soul wounds or significant curses could require many sessions through roleplay arrangement, yet any successful casting of Starwoven Remission significantly undermines and stabilises the patient in a gradual process.

Additionally, malflame scars bigger than an adult-man’s hand will have its soul scarring effects purged and will take [2] OOC weeks for the scar itself to heal. However, if smaller than an adult-man’s hand the scar, the soul scarring effects will be purged over [3] OOC days. Boon & banes afflicted by a Warlock will be purged over the span of [24] OOC Hours. Hexes can be purged within [4] OOC Hours of them being applied

Additionally, The shardbearer conducting the rite is bound to suffer backlash for [1] OOC hour following completion, which must be roleplayed as physical and spiritual strain. For instance, shaking limbs, radiant fever, dizziness, and emotional heaviness.

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:

Spoiler

★ Starwoven Remission cannot be used in CRP or during active combat scenarios.
★ It requires the ritual staff; it cannot be cast freehand or improvised at all.
★ It does not restore lost limbs, heal physical wounds, or replace surgery. This ‘operation’ is only reserved for magical afflictions, particularly curses and things like malflame.
★ It cannot revive the dead or interrupt an ongoing death.
★ It cannot cure lore-locked curses or state-bound conditions such as undeath, vampirism, or lichdom.
★ It cannot affect land corruption, void scars and tears, magical nodes, or structures.
★ Afflictions cannot be transferred, stored, or redirected to others.
★ Once used three times to heal, the shard breaks, rendering the staff useless.

In the open sky, a Shardbearer can opt to lose their attunement with Yeu Rthulu’s reforged stars. Under the direction of a shardbearer with a [TA]. The Shard is carefully taken to a state of stillness as its starlight falls back upon itself. No violence occurs. There is no divine manifestation. Upon choosing to voluntarily disconnect, the shard effectively resorts back to inert glass; all spells are discarded and the shard may remain implanted or be surgically removed and stitched up. Additionally, attunement is only possible by forging a shard from the start mark.

Voluntary disconnecting twice, will disqualify you from becoming a shardbearer for the third time. Following disconnection, the character will experience purely narrative after-effects:

» A hollow sensation beneath the ribs.
» Occasional phantom pulses where the Shard once resonated.
» A subdued sense of absence. 

Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ:
★ This process cannot occur during combat, chase, or immediate danger.
★ It cannot be used as an escape from IC or OOC consequences.

★ Inert Shards are mundane and non-magical after disconnection, no focus, enchantment, or ritual use.

★ The old Shard cannot be “reawakened,” reused, or repurposed. A new Shard is always required for attunement under the same step-by-step plan.

★ In truth, this project began as a way of testing my own limits as a writer. I really wanted to see whether I could actually create a magic that felt mechnically flavorful, themetically coherent and on-n'-all emotionally driven for roleplay. I was inspired by other deific magics already existing in this server, such as Templarism (Amazing work, by the way). Of course, I yearn for this magic's approval -- if many people do enjoy this concept system, I will continue to work at it and improve it. Originally, the idea of the Celestine and Yeu Rthulu's hold of the magic stemmed from a more narrative-filled type of magic that I felt could have been sweet for the circumstances that Azuras endures harsh climates, death, eradication and the likes; a system that was not necessarily focused in violently damaging or holding blood atop rival's heads but instead to be a protecter. Beyond personal development, I tried my best to design the magic to benefit the server by filling a supportive and preservation niche that is currently under-represented... in the sense that... more evil is prevailing, and not many sit around to solely protect. This by no means in an intended harsh way, the roleplay is great even with the circumstances. More importantly, whilst making this magic into what it was, I thought it may be able to create opportunities for moral dilemmas, moral tension, and long-form characters that explore emotional moments throughout being a protector of sorts. Thus, what I personally aimed for is to try and implement not necessarily a strong magic, only one that can slow conflicts and deepen the niche of preservation, continuity and protection. I'm sure you get it... hopefully, aha.

★ This aims to address that the shard's reforging was of the past, perhaps before Yeu's death. Though the will is carried over by Yeu. Hopefully, this bandages the slight inaccuracy in lore-reading. Until then, more changes will come.

Yes, unfortunately I was just told about this now. Quite the bummer that the lore page itself was not updated, however I will make amendments to accompany the new Yeu lore, with the hope that it is doable along the line of this theme and niche.
