A report would be sent throughout the lands of the High Kingdom of Idunia, entailing the dangers upon a missive. . .

THE FOLLOWING ST EVENT IS RESTRICTED TO THE IRON GUARD OF THE LORDSHIP OF ANGRENOST.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE EVENT DETAILED BELOW CAN BE ROLEPLAYED.

For the past few months, the soldiers of the Iron Guard, the protectors and guardians of Angrenost, have waged a quiet defensive war within the shadowed depths of the Autumn Forests. Great beasts have recently begun attacking the Iron Guard on their daily patrols. Reports have found that the soldiers have felt themselves stalked from the treelines, the dense, eerie fog obscuring their vision. Some say they see large blurs through the mist, others that the stench of wet fur and blood lingers in their nose. The conflict has spiraled into disappearances of guardsmen, brutal deaths left to be found by the next patrol. Recruits seem to be the primary victims of the Lycan packs.

Although,

the most recent attack brought the gravest blow yet.

Once again, the mysterious fog rolled through the Lordship of Angrenost, and with it, whispers of the dead, an eerie sensation, almost as if several things were watching. Slowly, the Iron Guard regrouped upon the front gates of their town. They could smell the familiar stench of a Lycan. The fog obscured most people's vision, although a select few who could see clearly saw the danger up ahead: a small pack of Lycans, three in total, all towering well above the average man. They seemed faster, larger, and far more coordinated; it seems they were adapting to the Iron Guard formations. Quickly had Ser Boromir barked orders as the Lycans began their attack. They formed a square defensive formation, successfully pushing back the initial charge. They fought valiantly, but in the midst of the Chaos, the Knight Commander and his Squire, Medliel Mithrenion, were seized and dragged into the depths of the forest.

A rouge in the lands of green and sandwiches read over the report. He nodded as he bit into his Garenburger “How informative. My gratitude to the author of this, some things just can’t be ignored.”  This figure measuring at less than 2ft tall then skulked away into a shadow with a chitter

Upon the edges of the Eryn Gîl, the forests which encompass Angrenost's walls, had the plight of the beasts brought atrocities to the small Lordship. For years, now, the flourishing recruits of the Iron Guard had fought valiantly against terror incarnate, and despite the bubble of fear that had clawed at their throats, they stood bravely in the face of snarling muzzles and ripping claws. Not a one had backed down. Not one had drawn back, even as limbs and lives were lost, taken without hesitation or remorse. Their Lord stood proud of them for it, had watched and partaken in guiding their prior trainings and lessons, observed their growth with a great satisfaction... and she would have continued to do so had she not been so devastated by the loss which she and her people had endured.

For the past several months, beginning to creep upon a full year, had the Iron Princess spent weeks on end searching and scouring through the Autumn Isles and beyond for traces and signs of the missing Knight and his Squire. The guard, the people, and the visitors of Angrenost rarely saw her, and when they did, it was as if a ghost had passed beneath the branches of their gardens; a hollowed creature that offered the bare minimum in order to hold the Lordship together. Lessons were still taught, items still crafted, diplomacy still attempted. Life continued on but she did not. The Royal stood stuck between defeat and desperate hope, flip flopping with each day passed. Paranoia ordered refusal of permission for the guard to go searching for the missing duo, for most of the guard remained mere recruits despite their growth; to lose more at this stage would only weaken Angrenost further, devastate its people even more. Hypocrisy and torment had her returning to the woods between infrequent naps, sparse meals, and interludes of caring for the fiefdom proper.

Angrenost would find them, of that she knew. Of what state the Commander of the Iron Guard and her Niece would be in she did not. And the outcome? Regardless of what was found, the beasts that had attacked the Lordship relentlessly across the years
would soon be put down like the dogs that they were.

Rest at no point since learning of his twin's ambiguous fate came easy for the Blood Royal of Angrenost. Castamir, despite a threat of being arrested by his own Aunt had taken it upon himself to search the nearby woods on horseback. At least he had, for a little while, until he had no choice but to stop. Until he was reminded that he had other responsibilities now. A growing family to look after. Even so, he stayed up and sharpened his weapons and prepared. Dead or Alive, he would dish out ruin to the Werebeasts. He owed them nothing but damage.

Mîrithiel Seojin Sidhrion hummed as she sat in the courtyard of her home, a Won-In structure built along the Angrenost walls to house her Clan. In her lap she held Her Eminence, the Glaive she had forged from the heavenly metals reclaimed from the nest of the Gilded Queen. She ran a sharpening stone over its length, sucking in a sharp breath.

"Tonight, Mîrithiel joins the hunt."

The woman cast her gaze to the Aengulic statue a few paces from her, clicking her tongue. "Jophiael guide my blade."

Vivien recollects her memory about the look the one lady gave unto her in the gatehouse that fateful afternoon.

while she sits in her workshop, the obelisk warping in silent echoes of eldritch magic. The Jovial artificer would tap her pencil, above the lectern.

”I wonder how’s that lady doing…hopefully she isn’t going to deny me in my visit?”

Heilwig stared at the notice. What could only be described as aphasic, did the woman remained eerily silent, with only a quiet, fretful huff leaving her lip.

Her brows curled woefully, dread in her gaze. Heilwig carried a doom-ladened certainty, that she would, once again, suffer the bane of someone...

...ill-fated.
