How do you feel regarding nodes plugin? Do you think this can be fixed?

Getting anything is too troublesome and annoying, and roleplayers also PvP when they're at the risk of losing their nation from my conception. I personally think the node system was lotc's worst idea and would love to know what the community thinks

Personally, I prefer a Vanilla+ style of resource gathering, where it’s the normal Minecraft system but with additional features (e.g. new ores or mining techniques).

I either think you just let people get gear through kits, or you do a Vanilla+ thing like Aesopian said. Herbs are fine to give nodes, but on an RP server you want people RPing as much as possible, not doing mundane grinding

nodes in resource island to get blocks/building materials? good.

nodes to get ores? also good.

placement/yield of those nodes? not good. Its to the point where i'm having trouble mechanically making items to turn into RP items.

I feel the system rewards actions/behaviour other than roleplay, and takes a significant portion on participating player time.

 

I also agree with Aesopian that vanilla+ is superior. It is at least intuitive to new/returning players.
