Demands Set Forth to Emperor Hadrian and the Imperial Court

Issued by the Grand Kingdom of Urguan

Preamble

 

Under the Emperor Hadrian’s rule, the stability of the continent has been put into jeopardy. Hadrian has made war upon neutral realms, forcefully subjugated peaceful peoples, perpetrated a reign of terror against his own citizens, and is responsible for the spilling of innocent blood, including three Dwarves. The following demands are issued to the imperial court and to emperor Hadrian himself. An official response is expected within two stone days, and fulfillment of all terms is expected within one stone week. Failure to respond and enact the terms within the allotted time period will be considered a denial of the terms and a renunciation of peace. 

 

Demands:

 

1. The immediate and permanent abdication or removal of Emperor Hadrian from the imperial throne to be replaced by a process internal to the empire.

 

Following the fulfillment of demand I, the following demands are to be fulfilled:

 

2. Immediate withdrawal of Imperial forces from the Horde lands and an official cessation of hostilities by the Empire upon the Horde of Many Tribes.

 

3. Official recognition of the Horde of Many Tribes’ and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan’s territorial claims and boundaries by the Empire and a pledge of non-aggression upon them.

 

4. The execution of Grand Knight Sir Arn Honeywine for the murder of three citizens of Urguan and the delivery of his head to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, in fulfillment of the grudge submitted by the Jewelbeard Clan.

Lord Arthur Marsyr watched the ultimatum go out. He read the demands and knew that effort was fruitless right from the start. There was no one in the war that whose company he enjoyed. Short of the Dwarves, whom he had always regarded kindly. The Adunian Lord had very little hope that there could be a peaceful resolution now and prayed, perhaps for a miracle from Aeradar. As he knew none would come from the Emperor.
