Just make a new discord, KPOren nuked the imperial discord when @Nectoristtook over 4 years ago, and there wasn’t a report then.

A matter of fact, for the love of the game, make a new discord @Nectoristfor the memories 🥀

it was not KP who nuked it to my knowledge.

Hello, I'll be addressing this Report. Apologies for the late reply. @Crevel@LordofCabbage@levy_spearman

I approached Valk myself to inquire whether this issue has anything he warrants rebuttal for. In Moderation team's understanding of the situation: this is a case of the passing of roleplay power to a new leadership figure in an institution, resulting in a dispute over the OOC ownership of the discord of said institution.

I will preface first by saying that moderation action against discord behaviour is rare - and rarer, I'd argue, for us to assuredly act on the issue of discord 'powers' and 'ownership'. However, I won't say  that this is unprecedented, as there are cases where we believe that those actions exist in the purview of LoTC, especially (and importantly) in discords that exist as a platform for LoTC institutions. These platforms, despite being off the main server, reflect the community of LoTC as they built and cared for by the community.

Discord Communities, from groups to realms, exist as the fruit of a community's labour and participation. When a leadership figure inherits a position of power, it is almost natural and expected that they inherit the ownership/control of said discord. In this manner, I would argue that these leadership figures are trusted and provided with this privilege through the goodwill of their community. Especially so when the discord was not made by them, and is inherited through the fostering of past leaders and its community.

The Church discord has existed (argued through the comments above) in multiple years of succession. There has been turbulent passings of power, controversial church picks, but in all that time the church has - in the fostered hand of the community - remained and been kept. When Valk inherited his position from Levy, and Levy from Madone; this culture of inheritance, through good will and trust, was implicitly given to them.

There are better ways to argue your rejection of a roleplay election than to hold hostage a community's discord, when you, Valk, have otherwise (in common knowledge) PK'd your own leadership character. You were given that position with the trust and good will of that community, something you withheld thereafter in favour of returning the ownership to Levy_Spearman, and offering little consideration to people in reacting by way of trolling (See re-framing the server as a Gaming discord, and channels named to Foxhole). Disagreement of a roleplay situation should not result in OOC toxicity as retaliation.

More than being an issue of Discord Ownership, this reflects a hostile toxicity to a community which as otherwise provided you the platform to be its leader.  Based on this assessment, the moderation team will be infracting accordingly. On the matter of  Levy_Spearman's participation,  we judged as well that it showcases a level of complicity and will as well be infracted as such. As I understand that a new discord has been made and settled into, I suggest keeping to that discord to prevent further complications and argument. Starting Fresh is not a bad thing even if it stems from an unfortunate circumstance, and its in this case healthy that the community was able to move on despite the hindrance in the way.
