ON THE DEGENERATE DAEMON

Icarus the banished fire atronach finds a missive that had made its way across the realms and into his steel hands "what... What did he do... I was with him less than 5 hours ago... How did he do this on 5 hours" after spending several minutes trying to understand descendent minds, he simply gives up and lights the parchment aflame. It's not like he needs to care for their laws anymore anyways.

Arthur stared at the paper in abject befuddlement. He considered the process of making an Atronach, and then what one would have to do to end out with such a thing. He frowned bigly.

"Did he at least have a potion of fire resist?"

The jaw of one Njáll Ásvard fell slack in utter shock and bafflement. He was quick to pass the missive onto his sister with much frantic and insistent elbowing, as he regarded the fate of the man that had hosted them not three ashen nights prior.

Enrique looked at the legislation and pondered.

...

...

He too wondered how many potions of fire resist had to be involved, after the obvious questions of 'what' and 'why'.

“Its those damn romance books. This is why they ought to stay banned!” Sir Dietrich commented upon reading the missive and having been present for the ordeal around its writing. With a tsk he folded the missive neatly to set within his bag, he knew his husband would get a kick out of this one.

Somewhere, sometime, an exiled romance author sneezes. Some hundred years or so ago, he had heard a rumor that a sneeze meant someone was talking about you. While such was clearly untrue, he couldn’t help the chilling feeling that his writing was being blamed for some wild occurrence again.

Silvya Véronica stood before the posted decree, her pale gaze moving line by line without visible reaction. Her fingers folded neatly behind her back.

“Fool”

She murmured under her breath. After a moment, she reached forward and flattened the curling edge of the parchment against the board, as though ensuring it would remain visible to all who passed. “The Valkonens have never done anything quietly” she said at last. “It seems that tradition continues.”

Without further comment, she turned and walked on, her expression unreadable.
