"Victory well earned"  he huffed through labored breath. The Avistran Marshal, CHERUBON THE DESTROYER, was not the biggest proponent of the empire, but the Valmonters had attacked the land and people he was charged to protect and so their actions forced his hand that day.

"A pity, we could of been allies..." he lamented before procuring many bundles of arrows from the fallen, allied and enemy alike, for the next battles to come.

Perhaps Eyvind Colborn was too young to understand the bloodshed, the crimson that turned the already red Imperial carpet a deeper shade as his Father told him to go home.
