Im suggesting that you simplify the government. The purpose of the Lord Baron would be to speak for all of the other nobility or lords instead of having 15 or so people that have donated and want to be lords on the lower counil. What is the purpose of the political member on the grand council?

While I like that idea, I think the problem with the donator position is that we are forced to reserve a position for anybody who donates that amount of money. I don't believe that'll be a problem though as we only had one donator position filled on the old High Council.

The role of the Political member of the Grand Council is to speak to other nations, settle war disputes, make sure that the Lower Council is functioning properly, things like that.

While I'm happy to address any constructive criticism of the new system, please also try to realise how much we've tried to improve the system, with a lot of input and ideas from different people.

You haven't been with in the making, this which you have stated is not true.

The king has the ruling decision, but it is strenghend by the Grand council. The need for king would be the same.

And the link that was given is W.I.P it only holds 70% of all the info, not all have ben added yet.

And what goverment is 100% without fault? The development is not yet finished as it will be changing to the better. But this system i am positive would work much better then the current one.

I am not trying to get you to explain it to me, but you need to clarify it for the general population.

You should clarify the google doc more, but you still haven't addressed my questions. Just saying, oh yeah we haven't added that yet, doesn't matter. At least prove to me that having a King is better, Zezimus touched on it but not really.

Well the thing is you're the only one actually asking for clarification on that. and a king has the permissions, He is a vital part of the grand council and the army alike. He is the leader of the nation, Grand council and army.

We've tried to clarify a lot of things, what else do you need answering?

Why should everyone have to ask? Why not just clarify for him? All of those roles can be supplemented by a grand council member.

Oh and thank you Zezimus for addressing my concerns. None of my criticism is meant to remove or overwrite your ideas of a new government, only to improve them.

We're both trying our best to clarify and answer any questions that people have, lol. =/

While the Grand King does have the final say and still has all the powers of the Kings we've had in the past, the Grand Councilors are able to look after the Kingdom if the King goes away and basically act as his advisors. Grand Councilors roles are much more delegated while the Grand King has the final say on everything if he wishes.

So your saying it's more effective to have 1 person who can overrule the ideas of many?

That is very unlikely to happen, a Grand King would really need the support of the Grand Council to block a decision.

Because he dident want it for himself but said he wanted clairification for others. which hadent asked.

Well.. I wouldn't mind some clarification. So far I feel as if you've proved that the king dosen't need to exist, as he only counts as 1 vote in the grand council. If this is true, he is just somewhat of a figurehead.

So what's the point of a king then?

The King would really have more of an influence in council meetings that the other Grand Councillors so that could mean that the King has more votes than the councillors. Remember that the King also has the role of the Lord Marshall which if you've seen what Thorik has had to do recently, is a very important job.

Edit: Plus, we also need somebody to lead the Grand Council meetings.

I believe that Thorik would make a marvelous King, and would implement wonderful plans to help Kal'Urguan. Right now it is practically a ghost town. Maybe if we held more events then people would come to Kal'Urguan more often. <-- Just an idea.

So you have 1 King in change of the military, and two high council leaders in charge of the military. The king has the power to veto the lower council, but not the High council. The high council can overrule the king at any time. The king has no power, just a figurehead. Why would anyone then want to become king?
