Okay, now this will most certainly be helpful... I may just add this to my signature/denial format in the near future.

Do it. I think all App members should add this! And maybe configure the the app a bit and make it so you have to take the test perhaps? Just an idea :3

I wouldn't reconfigure the app, but I would give the Mary Sue test to applicants who show lots of traits of Suedom. I once saw an app where a boy claimed he was a commander in the Human Army and had murdered the orc "king" all before the age of seventeen. GARY STU ALERT. I think he would benefit from the test, definitely.

Yeah and I also saw a guy with "Elf King". I laughed when he arrived at the druid grove that day XD no offence to him it was just bad lore thinking he was king and all...

Now that guy's just an idiot. :| He thinks he can just walk in and proclaim himself king on a server this big? Especially when the elves' leader is one of the most beloved GMs on the server? That's extremely silly.

True. But we should definitely do the mary sue and Gary stu thing. Makes more sence in apps ;)

People, in general, loath being below someone. This is why I assume there are so many applications spplying under royalty or warlords. It's the first instinct after all to be the leader!

(But I'm going to put the link in my sig when Im not lazy preoccupied by other means)

I absolutely understand wanting to be important. I like it when people pay attention to me. I'm not going to lie and say I don't. I'm pretty sure everyone has power fantasies about their character. I sure as heck do. The difference lies in whether or not you try to act out power fantasies in the game. Sure, sometimes I fantasize about being a half angel Warlord Goddess Empress with massive magical power. But I know I can't do that in game, nor would I want to. It would ruin everyone's RP, including mine.

PRECISELY.

Nobody who blatantly applies for a position of power legitimately knows how to use it. All they want is to be bowed down to and worshiped every other second. Attention comes first to these people, and when they eventually do get accepted, they end up (most of the time) having absolutely terrible rp. The sooner people get that through their thick skulls the better.

...By the way, did you apply for the application team Urara? If not you should, because your mind is certainly in the right place regarding these matters.

Oh my goodness, no. One of my good friends is on the application team and he says it is complete hell. I'd rather keep my sanity, thanks.

Well that character is clearly insane to begin with. Sure it can be a bit tedious, but all-in-all, it is a very fun process. I love being on the application team, and doing applications is an exceedingly enjoyable pastime. Plus the shenanigans that are had on the Google document are infinitely enjoyable.

...So don't let that first impression you friend gave fool you, the application team is something I certainly wouldn't want a person to miss out on!

(and I gave my sig a complete overhaul with a link to this thread. It will be well worth it in the long run. Again, a proper "thank you!" for this tutorial!)

Good lord, can you IMAGINE the kind of character that would be a score of 612 on that test? It would be...the Abomination Sue. The Sue SO horrible, it makes you lose your mind just looking at it.

Hold on...I want to try this:

Mai Lilly Usagi Rainbow had a tragic, tragic childhood. When she was born, an angel came down from Heaven and bestowed upon her the powers of light. As a result, her beautiful yellow hair turned rainbow to reflect her spectrum powers. Her beautiful blue eyes turned a kaleidoscope of colors that entranced everyone who saw them. She also got wings and a halo. As a result, everyone in her hometown called her the "Rainbow Angel" and a cult was founded to worship her. The cult grew so large and powerful that the followers of Aeriel felt threatened and attacked. They slaughtered the entire town and killed Mai Lilly's parents. They raped her as well. Mai Lilly was a cheerful girl with a strong heart, though, so this didn't affect her. She blessed her parents' spirits and escorted them to Heaven herself. But Aeriel was so jealous of Mai Lilly that she banished her parents' souls to the Nether and cursed Mai Lilly, saying that everywhere she went, men would fall in love with her because of her rainbow beauty.

Oh. And she has all the powers of both Aeriel and Iblees and even more. She can open portals to other dimensions so she can bring her friends Pinkie Pie and Naruto to Aegis with her. And her presence causes all mean people to turn nice and all villains to renounce their villainy and turn good. She's also the best singer in Aegis and her voice causes everyone to fall in love with her immediately, whether they like it or not. Iblees has a crush on her, but she would never love him because he's a bad guy and she kills all the bad guys who don't turn good.

Did I mention she's part cat? And can turn into a car? With guns?
