I think the spiders ate all the passive wildlife. I cant find sheep anywhere. I also think i've killed off all the Ghast.

Verge should be looked at as an instance. It's a place you go to with a large group of people to gain valuable resources and camp out for periods of time. You have to be one hell of a BAMF to live in the Verge.

Also thanks for the ^compliment^.

There is a long list of problems with this update. Ill try to explain each in as best a way as I can.

#1 A lot of players have stuff in the Verge. A lot of stuff. Really good stuff. Stuff no longer accessible because its all behind a veritable wall of super monsters. I don't mind the idea of the verge being a super intense place, in fact I like it, but with no prior warning people have lost a lot. I logged out in the verge, logged back in and immediately died. I had no armor equipped and until this thread was started I had no mention that the verge was supposed to be this super hostile zone that you were guaranteed to die in if you werent prepared. Now all of a sudden, literally over night, and with no chance to prepare for the change, I was killed.

#2 What happens in the Verge, stays in the Verge. Again, verge being a place of BAMFs is fine, I like it. But outside of the verge, no. I should not need a raid group around me in order to walk through Krugmar. My damage should not be nerfed, it was fine where it was. Monsters outside the Verge should not be impossible bosses that require a group to overcome. Consider this: Some people may enjoy RPing as a hermit, anti-social person, person who needs to get to Ahkazar from Malinor and knows no one in Malinor who would be willing to travel with him (much less 4 other people) or just about doing anything in general. Now at night all RP that you may have wanted to do now stops. Because everyone has to cluster around each other and fend off the monsters. Whats that? You want to travel the kings road? Fat chance of that. You are the only person online in Alras and its night time. Better hope when you travel in the daylight there aren't any spiders under trees that will agro you. I know your friend is in Ahkazar and you would enjoy RPing with him, but no. You stay in Alras and have no fun because all that happens when you leave is death, loss of minas and items and general frustration.

Please try to consider this as i feel its an important issue to address.

The part I don't particularly like is I have character that isn't the best in combat. She doesn't wear armor, and uses basic weapons at best normally.

If the wilderness is supposed to be dangerous, thats fine, I'll stick to the cities as normal. But when they are overrun by Pigmen, Endermen, and spiders... I have to stay inside a building and hope someone is brave enough to come my way.

If no one comes around, or die trying, no RP happens.

Is the intent to off all the non-adventuring characters?

The fact you "need" weapons to fight monsters clashes with my character's RP so much. He always tries to fight through foes with his fists and now he is practically incapable of doing so. Icant just spontaneously become a master at the usage of swords, nor can I pretend that I was never able to fight monsters with my fists.

...Yeah, this feels not too thought through in my opinion.

(and I abhor the miss system, it clutters the chat and feels unnecessary and awkward)
