Perhaps we should have a more natural looking city. A classic town upon a hill maybe? I feel that in terms of protection we do a classic medieval city with a hill surrounded by flat fields for farms and the keep would be on the steepest part of the hill with the walls enabling guards to walk throughout all the districts without being on the ground.

We need towns that don't have walls, sorta like a quiet little village. It makes for good rp because people would try to raid, and it's more fun for both defenders and attackers.more intense fights. Right now, all defenders do is sit on a wall and shoot at attackers, which makes it boring for attackers since they really can't fight the attackers

We should also make schools and libraries!

In regards to the capital itself, I love the idea of multiple districts each centred around a central plaza. However, in contrast to the plazas in the current city of Al'Khazan, they should be much larger. There are three main plazas in Al'Khazan, the one in the Church District, the one that used to be the Royal Plaza, and the one to which humans warp to when using our soulstone. None are particularly large. Personally, I'd like to see that changed so that when we have large events in the capital, everyone easily fits into a single plaza without being crowded.

Larger districts also allow for less cramped housing. We should plan it so there is room for expansion

Plazas kinda like this, which I quickly threw together in creative single player.

It needs benches and lighting, which I've added since, but notice how large the plaza is. It would make an excellent centre for any district.

How about a justice system? Now i for one think it would be very cool to have some sort of court were the bandits and what not could go pleed their case's to a judge who would then decide their fate. The crooks could also pay for a loyer type person to help pleed their case's and try to get them out of trouble. This would also bring up new job ideas such as; Judges: Paid fairly well and are considered to be a rich citizen in society, Loyers again considered to be a richer citizen but depending on how good of a loyer would depend on how much you charge per case so if your a good loyer then charge more but if your not charge less. You could also then have court house guards these would simply be people standing at the door to make sure the crook doesn't make a break for it. This could all be made into a guild sort of thing though so not everyone is going around as top class loyers, they should infact have to win so many cases to move up a level until eventually they are as best as they can be.

Some parts of this are being implemented in one way or another.

I also think that not every city should look nice and shiny, i think should infact be the opposite. I think there should be dirty towns were the evil villans and crooks "hang out". This would lso be a good place to have asassins hang about, the sort of place were asassins were just and average joe person you find walking around.

I dont mean like huge citys, i simply mean small little populated areas with maybe 3 or 4 houses, a tavern and a few shops. But yes the slums are a prime example, and would b perfect if they were a little bigger.

Again, I can't say much, but this has been considered.

Well back in like the olden times city's would be the main city building like town hall or whatever and thrown room and such in the middle of the city. Then it would be rich housing and the temples surrounding the town hall. Then surrounding that are the fairly affordable houses for middle class and all the shops and market place. This is where the trade is. Then outside of that here is the slums . The the walls surround the slums. The outside of the city walls are the farms. Now I am saying like outside of it and there are a lot of farms. So if that was a bit confusing I am trying to say that the richest things are in the middle and it then moves outward.

I would like everything to be grouped together like if you need a cheap home you go to the slums and browse. Not just look for an inn or post on the forums saying your looking for one. I also like the idea of sections I was kind of saying that but I am also basing it off of the social pyramid. So not just a mining section all the way over here and a farming section over here. Like if you are looking to start trading you go oh I will go to the trade part of city which is where the middle class live. I also want the path in the city to be easier to understand and the signs are hard to understand. I ma not be good with that kind of stuff but it's still freaking hard to find out where something is. Perhaps paths in the city that lead directly to something with a sign saying "Road to Kings Palace. "

Alright hope my ideas were understandable.

I don't think the capital should be beautiful. It should be cramped with really tall and narrow roads. There should be very small distance between houses and the walls in some areas. Only the large squares should be open, and the main road leading to the keep. I agree that is should be on a hill; fortresses are always built on steep hills. I think the walls should be small except around the keep, and I think there should be an area all around the walls of the town that are unprotected where the slums are built by new players. Then past that should be the farms.

An expensive cathedral should be built, not the cobblestone fortress we have now. It should be built of expensive materials. I would like to see some obsidian, brick, lapis, gold, diamond, mossy cobblebrick, netherbrick, ect incorporated into the design. It needs to look exuberant.

The castle needs to be complex. I don't think it needs to be huge, but I think it needs tons of hidden passage ways. There should be small spaces between walls, hidden switches behind fireplaces to get into rooms, secret meeting rooms, passages into the sewers or into different places in the city/out of the city/to the cathedral. It should also have a courtyard.

There needs to be a tribute system between towns. Someone makes a town and the King likes it and agrees to add it to Oren 2. A lord is installed and that lord needs to have his people gather resources to send to the king in the capital on a weekly basis. It establishes the usually pointless title of Lord or Baron as something with meaning. This would also encourage people to stay with their community, to remove poor lords, to remove lazy workers, creates tension between the king and the lords, and generates wealth for the Kingdom.

The taxes should be pre established for this map. So when you move into the house you are aware of what you are paying to the crown and who you are paying to. This would be enourmously helpful for establishing wealth and the usefulness of different government figures.

Established areas of residence for the different governmental figures. It doesn't really fit rp if Council members are living in slum houses, or apartments outside the city.

Specialized towns. Farming village, mining town, lumber village. We need them to have purpose not just be towns to live in.
