A Grave Insult

Put prisoners into a pit and shot them? In all my years in Laurelin we have not done such a barbaric act. In fact execution is not even a method of correction in our law. Even the one who assassinated Mylas was only confined and then exiled to live out her life outside Malinor. This claim you have, orc, is baseless. It did not happen under the current leadership that sits on the council.

I further encourage you, orc to speak with the rest of your people. Let your Warlord hear the opinions of his people about this pact. Why only let the elves decide, let the orcs have their say as well. It should only continue if both sides wish it to.

And if it is decreed by both to continue, then it needs to be written down to record the agreements made. That way if a breach is made, it can be clearly identifiable.

(Bloodlest, no worries, the actions and speech of my character doesn't reflect my ooc opinions. I think its good rp :). To make it short.. our character do what they want!)

((Our characters are acting how they are supposed to act in these situations, we are just seeing where it is going..... Perhaps a war? Perhaps a civil war? Who knows))

As if I havent suffered enough insult from you, now you accuse me of lying too? I watched it with my own eyes. Back in the days when Native was still High Prince I was invited to attend a Wardens tournament. After the tournament, the Wardens walked a prisoner to the gates, locked him in the gate room, dropped him into a pit, and shot him from above.

I explained to the Wardens our orcish customs and they told me this is how they execute prisoners. We had a mutual understanding of things, and while I disagree with the Wardens methods I understood the Wardens simply had a different view on things. I accepted this and moved on, but never were the Wardens so bold as to call me a liar.

You insult me by calling my a liar, and I take no insult sitting down. Show your face in Krugmar and we shall see if you have the stones to back up your accusations, Albai.

Do not threaten her. You have voiced your opinion, and it is noted. If you have nothing constructive to add, keep it to yourself.

I make no threats, Albai. I make challenges. Apparently it is elvish custom to make insults and then whine when they are challenged. But I expect no less from cowards who beg for an alliance so long as they arent obligated to honor it.

You say we begged for it? We agreed to help you when you were being over run by the undead. Do not try to make it look like this was totally our idea. It was the orcs who asked for help.

*closes her eyes and shakes her head

Oh the things I could say. The things I could show. The horrors that have been brought into existance by an elven hand.

I have been taught the meaning of pain from every race, but none have shown more skill in it, than the elf. Orcs are barbaric, yes. But at the same time, they are not.

Elves will romance with words and kindess, they say they will love and cherish. They show it with the outwardly emotional manner that your race has developed.

Orcs romance with power and brutality, they show that they will honor and protect. They show it with blatent violence saying 'i am strong and i will defend you no matter what'

An elf will strike fear with subtle hints of what they can do. One would be amazed the amount of pain the slender fingers you have can bring.

Orcs strike fear from blatant size and bristled demanor, they show you exactly what they can do.

An elf will study for a lifetime to understand greater things

an orc will study through life to experience greater things.

An elf is heart and mind

an orc is heart and hand.

Completely diffrent

exactly the same

Tell me, young miss. If I took the axe on my waist, and drove it into your chest.. would it not hurt? Would it not bleed? Would your family not seek to repay it thousand fold?

Would the orcs not do the same if you lodged an arrow into my skull?

As I sit here, eyes dulled from the pain of reopened wounds.. I am reminded of the turmoul within my own heart and home. I have become clouded, it seems, by anger towards those who just cannot see the way I do. I just cant seem to wrap my mind around this question, even though it is so simple. No matter how many times I ask it.. I can only answer.. that I do not know..

All I can do as I step back and think it over.. try and see the landscape that has been painted before me. Is ask.. one simple word...

Why?

Yet it is you who now who throw into question the state of the alliance. I say the alliance died when you refused to die with us. What say you? Do you still want some alliance? Do you still think you deserve to be brothers with us? Is that not why you are here? I say you are a worthless coward. You and your council. You deserve no alliance with us. You deserve no Orcish help. You deserve no Orcish brotherhood. You deserve nothing, Albai. And I swear that is all you will ever get from me. Your Wardens are the only ones I can respect, the rest of you can rot.

I think our races have grown apart, and a continued alliance is no longer possible as we are too different. We elves try to understand others, and orcs do not. We try to respect others, and orcs do not. We try to keep the peace with others. and orcs do not. We try to train our minds, and you train your bodies. We have developed into almost exact opposites, and I see that now. I do not believe it is the wills of either of our peoples to continue to have a pact of any form, just the will of a few people who think they know what is best. And they might, but we must do what we feel is right, not what others do.

Finally we agree on one thing, Albai. This pact is over. It may well be that it never was. Words are nothing, only actions. Or lack of actions as the case would be. I did try to understand you people. I did try to comprehend your skahun culture. And if nothing else I did accept, to the point where it literally made me feel sick, watching a prisoner be executed without being given a fighting chance. I see now that was wrong of me, and I swear I shall not make that mistake with the Albai again.

There is nothing similar between me and an Elf, Mira, speak for yourself

I personally don't think of this as an insult but as a mistake...a really big mistake

Because I won't have you saying that I am anything similar to these honorless Albai. I am no coward who slings insults and than retreats behind some words. I am no duguurz buub. I am an Orc, I have honor and loyalty to those I call my brothers. I stand by my allies when they are in need and follow them into battle, whatever the danger. I am nothing like these Albai. These Albai who follow a coward for a High Princess. These Albai who show up late for a battle. These Albai who command the Wardens to withdraw and show no support for those they are arrogant enough to call "allies" but show no intention of backing up their words.

I am nothing like these Albai, if you wish to equate yourself to these scum, so be it. But I will not be a part of it.

I thank you, Blawharag. From the depths of my understanding, thank you for speaking so openly and not smashing skulls in.

Whatever Orcs were there... You're damn lucky I wasn't. DAMN lucky. If I see ANYONE manhandle Indelwehn again I will cut of their hand and force-feed it to them.

Try it again, you won't be walking away.

*Thral'Mar walks inand points at Bircalin*

You should not dare to speak about such a thing, traitorous mongrel. I remember you when we were in a war with the Humans. When we sneaked to Al'Khazar, you attempted to arrest me, for you were an Oren Ranger. Your betrayal disgusts me.

Now, about this nonsense about Thul. It is his life, let him live it how it wants to live it. Do not force him to become what he does not want to be. Such a thing to do is cowardly, especially if you steal the child before-hand. I have been disappointed many times by my nation, for they are stubborn and hard-headed. This must be the greatest of disappointments I have received. Not only did a band of my brethren try to steal the child, but they acted foolishly and savagely when the elves retaliated to their actions.

Regardless of the disappointments I have in my nation at times, the pride I have for it out-weighs my disappointment. However, it saddens me to see my brethren insult an ally's culture, and question their alliance because of this ridiculous ordeal.

*Turns and leaves*
