Me friends... time has show again and again that our military leader hasn't got what it takes to lead us dwarves of Urguan to the right path. Now he has done some great things but it was done all with military power.... seems wrong to me if an axe was in me face and said "Show support to our Military King or die"

I have been here a long...long...long time and I have seen much. I know how to take care of dwarves as I'm ta leader of the longest living and largest clan of Kal' Urguan. Dwarves need a strong noble leader of pure Urguan blood to led us. I wish to be that dwarf. Ye all know who I am and what I stand fer. I wish for us dwarves to get back to our roots and serve the Paragons and love the stone like we used too. I want to open peace talks and get stronger alliances with our fellow races and trade with them and bring back a active economy fer ta dwarves. Too long have we been exposed to the dangers of the sky....True dwarves stay underground or near our capital. We need better guards and a stable army. I wish to pay these proud dwarves for their service to my kingdom. I fear that our nation today only makes the ones in charge power hungry or greedy... yes we may be greedy by nature but not to each other.... we are brother of ta stone! we must unite brothers! I wish to lead ye all into a Golden Revolution fer we may change fer ta better and come closer as brothers. I want to bring back the old ways and make weekly feasts and a tavern thats always in stock of pure gud ale!

I wish for a peaceful transition as a fight between us wouldn't be good with the danger we have now. I would love any support and if you all don't think I should I won't and will stop going fer the throne... its a pure heart intention to help others.

OOC: Ok I have been wanting to become king for awhile now ever since the Alras war that was handled terribly by our king. I just want to work to get things better for our nation so that we may all enjoy it most likely for 2.0. Im tired of people leaving the dwarves because of the terrible leadership... I mean come on... dwarves are suppose to be epic!

Another point to Thorik... Don’t you ever, ever talk like that to my friends again on TS. I don’t know what makes you think you can but cursing and attacking my friends doesn’t show that your meant to lead us. Your suppose to be a leader IC and OOC but you cussing up a storm makes the rest of us look bad.

((I have been around on this server for a while and I consider myself a late first-century Dwarf. Ever since I have joined, I have seen Hiebe help people both OOC and RP. Though I haven't RPed with him too much, but from what I have heard, he is one of the more excellent RPers on the server. He always seems to be online and on TS. I wholly support his kingship OOCly. I would be hard pressed to think of another player more worthy of this position. Good luck Hiebe!))

((Well, as many know I speak very firm about my opinions. I've been the longest running Nation Leader on LoTC and I have lead and ran Nations on many other forms of RP aside from Minecraft. The Dwarves have had a horrible reign of Kings, and I believe we can all agree with that, being a King that can please the majority of his people requires a certain mentality in character and out of character, you must make decisions that is for the betterment of the nation and the people... even if it involves you upsetting many. I've observed you for quite a while as a possible Dwarf that would suit Kal'Urguan, I have observed many Dwarves for the same reason as I am a Dwarf myself and believe it or not, I want Kal'Urguan to prosper, more so then it has in the past. I will be blatantly honest with you, I do not think you can make those decisions properly, I do not think you would be a good fit for ruling Kal'Urguan. Your past actions in which I will not go into for obvious reasons have confirmed my assumption of you not having the proper mentality to do what is necessary. You are a great guy Hiebe, but I do not believe you're right for the job.))

OOC: Hiebe you can't just become King, you have only contributed in wars nothing else than contribute in wars. My opinion Broski should be next king as he is A. Active as hell B. Understands how to do things politically, economically and also has a lot of experience as a Grand Councillor. Fair enough your a old Dwarf and i do like you OOcly ( ignore the friendly hatred towards Ironguts ) but i see the conduct that Thorik did with Kilgrim in TS and i just moved Kilgrim out the channel to stop more flaming but you should note that Kilgrim actually flamed Thorik first in a forum post. I don't think it will make sense in RP if you became king nor do i think it will be fair for most European Dwarves as you are not active on their side E.G Most of the Dwarven Grand Councillors.

Also all these posts about " Thorik being a bad king " are stirring up due to him deciding to stay and Charles not becoming king ( your friend ). I don't want to get involved in that matter but Thorik did not actually confirm that he is leaving, he only said he maybe is leaving or he might stay and he came to the conclusion of staying which angered Kilgrim and then make Thorik retaliate to his anger by say in self defence. These posts are nothing but flamatory as their is a current King and how do you think it'll make him feel if he reads this? he has been doing a good job and has been online also because of your time-zone you hardly can see him but Me, Wonka, Broski and other Dwarves can see him online at times in EU also 2.0 is around the corner so nearly everyone is in-active and doing other things waiting for it.

If their was to be a New King in RP it would be chosen by Thorik and it'll probably be Broski as he has server Kal'Urguan for a very long time, stayed loyal to Kal'Urguan and also has a lot of experience as a Grand Councillor ( preparing him to be king ) in RP also he is Thorik's son so that will also make sense.

Also you state that you have been active and helping people. I have personally seen little to no contribution from your part ( i may be wrong ), as far as i have seen you are the head of the Lower Council and i and other Grand Councillors had several discussions about the fact that the Lower Council is currently pointless and we should just demolish it or make another use for it. If you were planning on becoming king you could have done more meetings, opinions of Dwarves and forwarded those issues to me because id do a meeting on it and discuss about it. You also have no reason to take him off his throne Icly other than his conduct with your friends which is no reason, he's done nothing wrong and has been a good king. This Hiebe is now a big issue you are now causing RP tensions between the Dwarves and OOC issues this could have been discussed in TS but you did in RP which is good but i think this will cause a ****storm.

EDIT: Also the people who are supporting please in no way take this as a flame i am just saying that you are either supporting hiebe or kilgrim because of OOC issues, most of you don't know about Dwarven politics but if you do you still are supporting the " Ironguts " clan or you don't even live in Kal'Urguan. Also in RP this is how things ran man, at that time if you didn't support the king it would be blasphemy it's not a democracy you can't just say things about the leader or about the miliatry and get away with it. Good example of this was during the world war 1 the Tsar of Russia ( Bloodlines leader ) Executed people and did a massacre to all the people in a rebellion ( Workers, students, peasants ). Also note that is a later example, around 900 years after.

Ye can't see through this clearly brother. Tarion Braveaxe is a fool who 'as been placed in 'is position due te 'em bein a Braveaxe. I 'ave served this nation fer 130 years and I will not stand fer this nonsence. I 'ave seen kings some and go throughout our 'istory, but we need someone who can lead this nation. The Ire'earts 'e instated 'ave brought us nothin but pointless war. The time 'as come fer change, whether er not yer ready.

OOC: Arteh, their are several falacies in your arguement. So I will adress them here. Don't take this the wrong way or as an insult please.

1. Thorik just "became king" with the support of the council. Why is it not possible for Hiebe to suggest a possible change of leadership?

2. Why is it wrong to support the Ironguts IC wise? The Braveaxe clan supports Thorik, does it not?

3. Several kings have quelled rebellions throughout the years. The age of abolsutionism in Kal'Urguan died with the instating of the council. They have an immense ammount of power that is not comparable to anyone during the ruling of the Tsars.

4. No reason to remove him from his throne? Were not talking OOCly.. Were talking RPly.. So, regaurdless of your opinionated responce on that one.. Yes he has instated officials without taking into account experience within the city, regaurdless of the incompetence of previous gaurds.

Oh and don't worry Thorik, I luvs yah. This isn't meant to piss you off.. So please don't take any of this the wrong way. That's my response. Feel free to continue with this conversation, I'd love feedback. Also, please ignore my terrible spelling or grammar, as I am quite tired.

Yes I do think I should be king as I think everyone has a claim if they want it. I have grown up since the beguinning and have made bad and good choices and I stand by them entirely. It what makes your character who he is we all cant have some powerhouse character. I did this RPly due to that fact if anything you can all hate me RPly if you want but not OOCly cause well Im tired of all the crap thats going on. I have never met Broski or even heard of him... maybe just be me but either way not my choice. King has never been a hereditary position. I always get the blunt edge of Thorik's rants and Im personally tired of it. Im also tired of all the OOC talk that if your not in TS your pretty much screwed to be in a kingdom position. Yes there are many OOC reasons why i do this well cause you have too but I have good reason to claim for the throne and this is all peaceful.... and have stated if i dont get the support then i wont go for it hell im just trying to open up your eyes to whats happening... we are loosing members.)

Personally, I would support whoever can control the Ire'Heart clan. While I cannot speak on behalf of the council, I personally see the Ire'Hearts as the biggest problem between out two nations. They come into Malinor when there are no guards about and simply do what they want, attack our people, steal from homes, and even kidnap our people. Malinor has presented several appeals to the Dwarves for help, but we have not experienced any difference in Ire'Heart activity. Again, while I cannot speak for the council, I would personally support whoever can stop the Ire'Hearts from their... aggressive activities.

OOC: Just to clarify. Yes the elves are able to often repel the Ire'Hearts when during peak hours, but say at 1 a.m. PST when I'm the only one in Laurelin they're kind of hard to stop...
