Clan Qualities.

I was wondering, it seems all our clans seem to have the same purpose, war.

I know we are the 'war' nation, but the clans of Asulon should have a preference of activities/jobs.

For example, The Dom clan prefer to gain power through study and wealth 'The quill is mightier than the axe' is their motto, but they are not Cowards and will klomp for the warnation and honour.

I was thinking that all the clans could focus on one job, like Gorkils/Lurs are warfare, Mar and Doms are Wealth, Foreign affairs, Azog/Ugluk could be Supplies and Rax's could be Extinct!

I hope you like this idea, it might add more complexity to the Orc nation.

My clan is actually supposed to be known for our kind of Berserker mentality and using their axe before their brain. Just like the Lurs are the best hunters. However, I do have some established traits of my Clan in mind when we begin to create clan settlements. As of now my entire clan lives together and we do most things together.

Ugluk - Some fierce warriors, they were often beserkers and were known for their battle cry. They sided with the Dom's, and only survived by pledging loyalty to Tythus in the end. Descended from the Gorkil clan.

The Mar has a quality of putting pumpkins on their heads.

But to be a bit more clear.

-Our main focus is wealth.

-If someone is standing in our way of our wealth, we'll take that obstacle out; Either politically or with warfare.

-The Mar are to expand more later on, their wealth will be used for the camp for now.

-We are likely to stay in one general area, Mal'markai (the mountain we live on).

-We are also making farms in rich areas to provide our camp with food.

-I'm going to make an appropiate threat for the Mar.

Edit: Since we're just developing right now, we consider a good meal everyday wealth.

Lurs is the hunter clan. Were the raiders the klompers and we dont take charity.

Lur (( our ancestor)Was the first huntsgoth he made a big hunt where he conquered his land.Thats why we no take charity from anyone and why were the hunters

And of course Lurs love to piss.We piss on every skull of the people we killed

Will soon post 2 storys that explain both things :)

I don't think qualities should try to be pushed onto a clan. Instead clan leaders can try to recruit people with certain qualities, like having a preference to recruiting merchants, but do not force the niche onto the clan. Essentially in my experience when you push a niche onto a separated group culture (and believe me I have had a lot of experience with this as a veteran member of 2 different Shadowclan branches with this same exact structure) people tend to shape their RP to fit the niche. That isn't necessarily a bad thing mind you, but in a world like Aegis where RP guidelines exist in the form of races and a little bit of forced lore, you do not want to curb the creativity of some by making it seem like there is a niche group they should fit into. I understand that isnt the intention of the style you are forming, but it will come as a result. I suggest instead leaving the clans more or less undesignated and leaders can instead try to shape their "niches" via recruitment, rather than by labeling their clan.
