She loves a great chat and helping those who are in need help may it be a simple slice of bread or treating of a deep wound. Although she is a bright person she still has much to learn and spends much time reading books and history about the lands. Who were the Celestial Triumvirate?: They are the three deity´s the monks choose to pledge them self to. There is Lord Keldrith of the stars,Lady Rellenia represents the moon and Lord Tariel of the sun. A lost traveler comes to the sanctuary and asks, "Monk, where am I? and how might I find my way?" "Calm down,you are safe here at the sanctuary." *smiles and gives the man some food and some spring water. You are free to stay here as long as you want but if it is urgent to leave then the way to your capitol is that way. *packs a backpack with some bread,water along with a small purse of coins and points towards the capitol,waving the traveler goodbye. Beneh 227 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Monk's name? Monk Baelin. Their personality? The Dwarven Monk Baelin is troubled , yet kind dwarf. In his time he has seen much in this world. Baelin has been around for 600 years and has always devoted his life to assisting others , which made him stand out from the other dwarves. Baelin is also extreamly generous as he has not much need for his items anymore , however this can be exploited. Baelin at one point gave out all his mina and food to refugees at a small camp , earning him the nickname of "The Giver". Baelin however does not have the quickest reactions due to his old age , he always manages to accomplish what he wishes to do. Baelin can often be seen teaching the other Monks and passers-by about the history of the lands and he tells them tales of his adventures as he loves to pass on his knowledge to those that are keen to learn. who were the Celestial Triumvirate?: Lord Tariel of the Stars.- Baelin has devoted himself to Lord Tariel. Lord Keldrith of the Sun. Lady Rellenia of the Moon. A lost traveler comes to the sanctuary and asks, "Monk, where am I? and how might I find my way?" Baelin looks up at the Human and says. " Dont worry lad , this is the Cloud Temple of Asulon. Take this food , ye will need it fer yer long journey to 'da 'uman lands! There are many Human Nations , they are: The Kingdom of Renatus , The Realm of Hanseti and The Kingdom of Salvus. I suggest you go to the Kingdom of Salvus , Lady Dawn is extreamly generous to new adventurers like yerself." Baelin would then point the Human in the right direction and smile as a new chapter of the man's life begins. He has taken up the hobby of philosophy, ones such as metaphysics(For those who don't know metaphysics are the "Hard hitting questions" ones such as why are we here, who are we, where did we come from? basically the fundamentals of understanding the world) and political philosophy ((asking what is law and why is law.))He prefers simplicity over luxury and chooses to wear simple robes. He can often be found in the study, halls of the vast libraries or traveling Auslon, trying to find reasoning to support his logic, philosophy, answering the questions that leave the brightest baffled and helping travelers. He walks with a cane and the sounds of his walking can be heard throughout the vast halls. He has spread the word of peace throughout his homeland and now has decided to spread the word of peace, philosophy, logic, and care throughout all of Auslon. The monastery holds knowledge of the ages, wisdom of the centuries. And I see you ask how you might find your way. That is an answer I myself have been searching for. For to find ones way, or as I believe, must be achieved through the questioning of ones self existence, ones importance and what is the basis of the world that we have come to know. I think- *The traveler is confused and says* No, no, I mean find my way throughout these strange lands. *Boiendl stops short of his ramblings and corrects himself* Well, friend, *motions him to come to the window* there are four gates here. One to the Human Kingdoms which are Hanseti, Renatus, and Salvus. Another gate to the Elves and Kingdom of Alras.Also, there be a gate to get to the Dwarf nation. Lastly, there be a gate to the orcs and the War nation of Krugmar. *notices the traveler is an elf* To get to your people you must go through the gate of the elves and follow the road . If you see any people on the road, don’t hesitate to stop and ask for directions. But, I do not recommend traveling during nightfall, there are some creatures in these woods that prove dangerous. Please, stay, rest, I am sure that I can make accommodations for you. *The traveler answers* Oh, how kind of you. I would gladly stay for the night. *Boiendl nods and motions the traveler to follow him to the beds* Here we are friend, if there’s anything you need don’t hesitate to ask me. *The traveler gets into bed and goes fast asleep* *Boiendl smiles warmly and walks off slowly heading back to the study where he shall finish his writing.* *The morning sun arises and the Temple is a flurry with activity* *As Boiendl walks the halls he notices the traveler that had come the night before, he stops him and says* Hello friend, I hope you enjoyed your stay here at the Monastery, you are welcome to come back anytime ye are in need of shelter and food. *The traveler smiles and says* Thank you kind monk, I will be setting off now. He took ill on the journey from the rough waves and nasty weather. When they landed, he managed to get to shore but then passed out. Coming to, he found himself in the most magnificent location he had ever seen. A man in brown robes trimmed in dark blue helped him to his feet and explained that he had been rescued from the shores, where he had collapsed. He wandered around the sanctuary in awe, oblivious to those around him who were impatiently rushing off to find their nations or gather supplies. Hudsson felt a deep connection to the place, imagining it to hold many secrets and be a source of healing and knowledge. Hudsson decided that he did not want to go live with the other Humans, but would rather stay and work in the sanctuary. Hudsson recovered from his illness under the care of the monks and remained eternally grateful to them. When he ventured outside the Temple for brief excursions he always felt stronger when he returned. He felt the strongest at night, and especially under the full moon. He therefore decided to follow the path of Lady Rellenia. Hudsson is a young Human. After he recovered from his illness, he regained his old energy, optimism and happiness. He likes to sing and laugh, which connects him to others, but also annoys the elder monks who do not always think he takes his job seriously. At night Hudsson becomes more contained, knowing that darkness brings many threats, but believes in the power of the Lady. It is then that he is commonly in the library of the sanctuary, reading and tending to the works collected there. He is most interested in medicine and healing books, but will not hesitate to read up on any subject that he thinks can be used to help people of Asulon. Who were the Celestial Triumvirate? Lord Tariel of the Stars. Lady Rellenia of the Moon. Lord Keldrith of the Sun. A lost traveler comes to the sanctuary and asks, "Monk, where am I? and how might I find my way?" Hudsson looks at the traveler, trying to decide what it is they need the most. If they appear well-equipped, he will ask where they want to go and offer guidance. If they are ill-equipped, he will offer them food, water or clothing. Hudsson will never give weapons to anyone, even if they threaten him for them. In most cases, he will ask if they know of the location they seek. If the traveler does, Hudsson will direct them in that direction. If they do not, he will offer advice on where their nation is, or where they can find more assistance outside of the sanctuary. Hudsson rarely travels outside the sanctuary, so he is always grateful to hear of developments to the outside world that he could use to help others. Whenever a traveler is injured, Hudsson will take special care of them. They will bandaged or comforted and offered a chance to recover within what he believes to be the healing powers of the sanctuary. If a traveler is not lost but wants to look at the library, Hudsson will gladly oblige, always eager to share in the collected wisdom and knowledge of the monks. Newcomers to Asulon are also given special treatment, and Hudsson often finds himself explaining the sanctuary to them before showing them the way to their Kingdom. A kind soul, that just wants to help people. He was lost himself, and grows tired of all this fighting. He is a old wise elf, and loves nature. He believes every soul has a purpose and life is a luxury, not a need. Death should come from the Lord above, not from knives and swords. He tends to hold grudges, been at the same time can easily forgive. He grew up with no money and knows what its like, he only wishs to help those new and old live a happy life. He is old and needs to settle to on place, no longer traveling, and he hopes to use his wisdom for the new generation! There is Hanseti, the cold, Renatus, and Salvus! They are all down that path. As well, the elves are through the green gate, the dwarves red and orcs yellow if ye wanna be paying them a visit!
