So I've been monking on my alt account (mixikitkat) for a bit now, and I'm enjoying it immensely. It's true you may want to play a monk as an 'additional' character if you want to feel like you've accomplished something. Monks don't really grow, so your character never improves and you might not enjoy not having any achievements to show for after some gaming. You'll need a different character for that

However, for RP value it is beyond entertaining. I can spend hours falling from one RP into the other, interacting with a myriad of players that happen upon the cloud temple (there's even a few regulars). True, there'll be times when business is slow, so to say, but even then you can absently pace around (for realism purposes) waiting for new players to guide while you're also doing your homework, browsing the forums or just chatting with fellow monks; when there's another monk online the RP becomes even better!

Just show some excellent RP, and try to remember you're offering up a bit of your time to make the server better for others. It feels good and you still have a lot of fun in the progress. It helps to play a temperate, kind character as most other characters respect a cloud temple monk like such (meaning your job will be easier). Monks help everyone, good or evil, so you'll be able to have friendly roleplay with virtually anyone.

Monks can hand out food, give advice and show players the first step towards magic (I love doing the last one; people get excited over it :) ). They can also just talk, be excellent players, and just... be. Simply being there gives a great boost to the Cloud Temple immersion and gives (new) players a great impression!

Be a monk. You'll love it :)

•Monk's name? LaTerre

•Their personality? LaTerre is a very kind Wood Elf. Whilst on his travels in Aegis, the threat of the Undead was too strong. He left his home and all of his items in Aegis, and joined the others at the docks of the Verge. Whilst migrating to Asulon, He had plenty of time to think. "What do I wish to do in life?" He asked himself. The first that came upon him, was a monk. Being so kind and helpful greatly forseen him becoming a monk. On his travels throughout Asulon, he found the Wilven Sanctuary. He gazed in awe of what lay ahead of him. He knew it. He would start here.

LaTerre helps the poor and those in despair as much as he can. He had made, earlier in his life, a pact with himself to never hurt a being on this world. He's kept to his pact so far, and is planning to do so forever and ever. He walks the lands, helping those in need. He makes the sad feel better, the poor feel richer, and the guilty feel innocent. He travels the lands, praying the the Trumvirate. He sees that the Monks have a farm, and he is a farmer, which would help him help others. He also sees they run a shop, though, no one is ever there. He wishes to change these things, and actually run the store. He wishes to help the poor, and keep the land available pure and safe.

Swearing to his pact, he wishes to join this sanctuary and remain there, for life, guiding the new and blind to this world.

•who were the Celestial Triumvirate?: Lord Keldrith of the sun, Lady Rellenia of the Moon, and Lord Tariel of the Stars.

•A lost traveler comes to the sanctuary and asks,

"Monk, where am I? and how might I find my way?"

"Hello child. You are at the Wilven Sanctuary of Asulon. "You look tired, you should rest." The traveler replies: "Thankye sir"

*The traveler sleeps, and LaTerre prepares some bread for the morning.*

*The traveler awakes, and walks up to LaTerre* "Thankye, sir." *LaTerre strikes conversation with the traveler*

"So, now. Where do you live?" LaTerre asks.

The traveler says "I'm an Elf. Where should I go?"

LaTerre points to all the racial archs.

"You want to go under the green arch." LaTerre states.

"Thankye sir!" the traveler says as he runs off.

It's very easy for Sinkrus to get frustrated, but as a monk she would try as hard as she can to keep herself calm. She will not give up easily, and will help even the most ignorant of people with their problems. She likes helping others, and protecting the ones that are in danger. She will not take kindly to villains, but as a monk she must keep balance.

From what I've heard they are three gods that lived in the temple.

Lord Tariel, god of the stars.

Lady Renellia, god of the moon.

Lord Keldrith, god of the sun.

•A lost traveler comes to the sanctuary and asks,

"Monk, where am I? and how might I find my way?"

Sinkrus shows the traveler to where the four roads are to the nations. She points to each one and explains each race. She then looks at what race the traveler is, and points then in the right direction. If the traveler wants to go to the Elven capitol, which is hard to find, she would take them to the dock, and guide them across the ocean. If going to any other nation, she would go with them a bit to defend them from any monsters or villains. She then makes sure they arrive to their destination safe, and possible provides food or supplies.
